Online picture that tells a 100 words - Rick Santorum, "Paper Tiger":

The guys never hit anyone in his life, and isn't going to... not with those fists. He'd break his thumbs before anyone else's nose.

Online headline: "Judge To Announce Verdict Sunday In Ohio Rape Case" -- Oh, great... Mixing Government with a Sunday. In legalese, the judge is giving the defendants an automatic appeal technicality.

Online story: "A Marine Corps veteran with a concealed carry permit stopped a suspect in a brutal beating in West Allis, Wis., * Charlie Blackmore, Jr. told Wisconsin Fox affiliate WITI that he saw a man kicking a woman in the head and belly at the side of the road as he was driving to work early the morning of March 12. He pulled his car over and told the suspect to stop, but the man came towards him. * According to WITI, audio of Blackmore's 911 call reveals the suspect tried to walk away when confronted. * There’s a (.) male that just beat up a female in the street. He’s walking away from me. I told him to stop,” Blackmore said on the call. "If you come at me, I will shoot you,” he told the suspect. * Milwaukee County Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr., a proponent of the state's new concealed carry law, who has urged residents to arm themselves and take firearms classes, praised Blackmore in a statement Wednesday." -- Hmmm, maybe we should let our public safety officers take over the aspect of cleaning up the 20,000+ laws on the books and recommend sentences when criminals use guns.

Wouldn't it be nice if potUS 00-bama spent as much time & effort working on our economy & budget as he does on his NCAA brackets & golf?

---

Online story: "A new genus and species of extinct saber-toothed cat has been found in , Polk County, Fla., scientists say. * "The new species shows that the most famous saber-toothed cat, Smilodon, had a New World origin, and it and its ancestors lived in the southeastern U.S. for at least 5 million years before their extinction about 11,000 years ago" -- Rumor has it Algore is making a sequel to "Inconvenient Fluff" to offer this as proof of global warming, and potUS 00-bama's spinmeister team is out blaming Boehner.

---

Online headline: "Top penny stock for 2013 revealed" -- Ooops, my bad.. just knew it would be any choice of the DOW stocks after 00-bamaCare kicks in fully.

I have my own theory why there appear to have been new jobs created in the last three months.... employers are reducing 40 hour employees to 20 hours and hiring a new person for the other 20 hours of the previous job.

---

Online story: "The NBC article falsely reported that NRA will not oppose legislation being negotiated in the U.S. Senate that would mandate background checks for all gun purchasers. * This statement is completely untrue. NRA opposes criminalizing private firearms transfers between law-abiding individuals, and therefore opposes an expansion of the background check system." -- There's an inherent wrong in lying, but even moreso when the intent is purposely orchestrated by mainstream media... that's how it works in dictatorial environments. NBC should be stripped of it's 1st Amendment rights!

The L-E had a marvelous, MARVELOUS front page and follow-up stories honoring the lives & deaths of local area soldiers. Just think, compared to the number of street deaths in Columbus over the same period, owning a properly distributed gun made it safer to be in a war zone than on the streets of Columbus.

How many voters were denied the opportunity to vote in Columbus this past November? How many voters were allowed to vote more than once because of not following voter registration and regulation laws? Those are the questions to be answered before extending the discriminatory 1965 Voters' Rights Act.

Karl Douglass's infatuation with trains is warped! There's not a single railway transportation system that is solvent, much less profitable. Every form of government transportation is taxpayer supplemented. Therefore, none are successful. Once again,. the L-E presents the opinion of political employee without identifying him as such when he promotes Democratic Party propaganda. Shame on the L-E!

I do hope those full page, color ads for United Way have been "comped" by the L-E as the L-E publisher, Rodney Mahone, was this past year's Campaign Chair, but even so would not those in need be better off if the cost of just producing those ads (let alone the retail value) were donated to United Way than spent on self-pats-on-the-back?

---

Obviously the L-E doesn't want to embarrass the Mayor/Council/Parks&Rec Department any more than they seem to do for themselves, but the L-E sat on an earlier letter I sent questioning why Columbus taxpayers are supplementing the use of Golden Park by the Chattahoochee Valley Community College baseball program. CVCC, of course, is in Alabama, and is allowed to use Golden Park as its "home field" for $500.00 per game date. There's no way $500.00 per game date covers the costs of preparing and maintaining OUR facility for another state's institution to be using. I'm OK when Golden Park is used for Columbus based events, but we should be outraged at CVCC using it on a below cost basis.

Online quote: By Thomas Edison - Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.” - Bet this quote doesn't sit on the desk at a single government job search desk.
