political correctness, but if ci=onditions were reversed, and Charles Barkley
said the 'same' thing, everyone would have just laughed, but no one gets to

What is it with the L-E.... twice I've submitted letters concerning CVCC
being charged but $500.00 a game for use of Golden Park, but the L-E has not
printed them. I can see letting Columbus entities getting a break on some costs,
but not an Alabama non-taxpaying group. No private rental facility could rent
out space at that rate for such an event.

The 1st Amendment guarantees our right to practice any religion we want to

Latino advocates are voicing alarm following the governor’s decision to
eliminate the state’s office for Latino affairs. * The closing of the Office of
Hispanic/Latino affairs was sudden and caught many by surprise. A spokesperson
for the governor said the office was not being closed, but that its duties were
being shifted to the office of community and constituent affairs. * “We are
committed to serving the needs of all of North Carolina’s citizens,” Thomas
Stith, the governor’s chief of staff, said in a statement. “We don’t segment our
constituents by race or cultural background, any more than we separate them by
age or gender." -- A Republican governor doing the right thing is damned if he
does or doesn't in the eyes of mainstream media. In the eye of the MSM, the only
"worse thing' the governor could have done would have created an "Office of
White Affairs" to balance the existing situation.

has dropped significantly and in places completely collapsed into the river,
threatening more than 300 feet of the RiverWalk and
some Georgia Power transmission towers. * The collapsed section is just north of City Mills
Dam, which was recently breached" -- Well, the L-E has taken its sweet time
in reporting this, but has dodged reporting that the area was subjected to hefty
dynamite explosions and altered river flow. The costs are escalating and guess
who's paying for it.
