That Brunswick murder of a 13 month old baby... shot between the eyes in as cold, remorseless manner humanly, no inhumanly way possible...The baby, product of Latino father and white mother, shot while strapped in a stroller in front of his mother by a black teenager in a robbery attempt of the baby's mother. Where's the indignation of the media?...of the black community? of the Latino community? of Judas 00-bama (could have been his son)? of Al Sharpton, of Jesse Jackson? of Senator Diane Feinstein, Senator Harry Reid, Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi? Where are the Trayvon Martin type demonstrations? Let's face it, DUMBERats have no compassion for anything they can't use for political and/or racial divisiveness.

Online headline: "Despite Stock Surge, Money Still Flowing Into Bonds" -- If the wrong statistic jumps into the vision of all the MBAs, the 1929 crash could get bumped for the 2013 one.

There are 4 teams that have advanced to the "Sweet 16" stage of the NCAA tournament that would not even have been invited to the NCAA if the tournament was kept to the top 32 teams as was once the case. In fact, 10 teams made it to the round of 32 that wouldn't have been invited if the field was limited to the top 32. Once again, the fans get cheated by the NCAA/TV industry wanting 16 more games to peddle.

I really enjoy shopping at Public, but one thing that bothers me is the slow service at the deli. Nothing speeds up the workers. I guess they all used to work at a Post Office.

---

As more comes out about the Department of Homeland Security buying up what may now be 2,000,000 rounds of ammo are taking another twist. Seems that most of the cartridges are of the hollow point variety which is not the usual military purchase. Transparency, please, Judas 00-bama.

Online story: "(Breitbart) – Comcast Cable, “the nation’s largest cable provider,” has decided it will not accept firearm and ammunition advertisers in the future. * This decision comes after Comcast has been running ads for some gun and hunting groups for decades. * Cox already had a ban similar to the one Comcast has now instituted and Time Warner Cable announced in January that it was banning “ads showing semi-automatic weapons and guns pointed at people.”" -- Hmmm, there was no news as to whether Comcast Cable, Cox, and Time Warner Cable would ban Hollywood movies with assault weapons... yeah, like that's going to happen.

---

BTW, Comcast owns NBC. Does that mean Comcast will ban ads for guns on NBC as well? Does that mean NBC will cancel, Law & Order, Revolution, and American Ninja et al?

---

Online story: "(Roll Call) – The Senate’s bipartisan immigration working group split along party lines during a contentious budget vote to prevent illegal immigrants who receive legal status from receiving federal health benefits. * The Senate early Saturday morning defeated the amendment to the budget resolution which would have put the Senate on record as opposing access to health care under Medicaid or the Affordable Care Act for undocumented immigrants who get a green card. * All Democrats — including gang members Dick Durbin of Illinois, Bob Menendez of New Jersey, Charles E. Schumer of New York and Michael Bennet of Colorado — opposed the amendment. They were joined by Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, and Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska." -- "All Democrats"... Inn other words, not one DUMBERat vote against the party mantra. This is what is wrong in politics today... when people put the will of of a party mantr ahead of the needs of the country.

Picture this:

Harry Reid Gun

This man wants to tell us about gun control....well, Mr-Concerned-About-Gun-Safety might better take a course himself so he'd know better than to be fingering the trigger while holding a gun that way.

---

21 years ago, I bought the first hand gun I had ever owned. I made my selection, paid for it, and 7 days later I was "allowed" to return to the store and take possession of it. My "background" was checked before I could actually take it home with me. It was a law. That was 21 years ago. Why are DUMBERats still acting like making a new law concerning background checks will bring something new to the table?

There was so much corn starch by the river following Color Me Rad, that the runoff will turn Lake Eufaula into gravy.

On the City Manager's Agenda: "Authorization is requested to enter into a contractual agreement with the Georgia Department of Transportation to receive $10 million in Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax Fund for activities associated with completion of the Columbus Riverwalk at City Mills and North Highland/Bibb Mills site. This project will be 100 percent funded from collection of TSPLOST funds and will not require a match. " -- Wait a minute.. why is this presented in a manner that indicates no local funds will have to be provided? We are getting taxed to pay for it, only we don't get all the tax money we put in. That "$10,000,000.00" estimate is already costing us about $11,700,000.00 is Muscogee County generated sales taxes. Same goes for the other TIA projects the T-SPLOST is partially funding.

---

Also on the City Manager's Agenda: "Emergency Construction Services to Repair Riverbank Damage and Boat Landing at the Riverwalk: On Wednesday, March 20, 2013, there was a major collapse of the riverbank north of City Mills, immediately behind Chase Homes. The area impacted is approximately 900 feet and involves approximately 300-400 feet of the Riverwalk. There are also two large Georgia Power transmission towers in the affected area. The area has been closed to the public and Public Works is in the process of installing a fence around the area to keep spectators away from the site. Due to the damage, the Riverwalk will be closed from the 23rd St. Pavilion to City Mills indefinitely. The instability of the river bank places more of the Riverwalk, and potentially the transmission towers, at jeopardy if the bank is not stabilized in a timely manner. " -- Hmmm, one of those unplanned consequences of altering the flow of the Chattahoochee to speed up the completion of Whitewater???

---

Another "huh" item as above: "STAIR REMODEL AT COLUMBUS CIVIC CENTER (RE-BID) — It is requested that council authorize the execution of a construction contract with Huckaby Brothers Floor Covering Inc. (Phenix City) in the amount of $62,920 for stair remodeling services at Columbus Civic Center." -- Does anyone have an idea what a "stair remodeling service" is?

---

Even another "huh" item as above: "It is requested that council Approve the purchase of 39 800 Mhz portable radios from Motorola, in the amount of $118,380.60 ($3,035.40 each). " -- Wouldn't it be cheaper to buy those cell phone/walkie-talkies that private companies use?

---

I read in the L-E this morning that a Toyota won a NASCAR race. Further search shows that Toyota has won 30-something races. I remember when only American-made cars ran in NASCAR. Oh, Toyota may be the only fully American-made car in NASCAR.

---

L-E headline: "MAYOR HOPES FOR LANDSLIDE RESOLUTION" -- Ooops, my bad. Though Mayor Obamalinson was talking about removing the tax freeze again.

---

L-E's "Thought for Today": “In every person, even in such as appear most reckless, there is an inherent desire to attain balance.” — Jakob Wassermann, German author (1873-1934). " -- Hmmm, obviously Wasserman never extrapolated the effect of FDR on the DUMBERats of today.

---

L-E story: "MIAMI — Two Icelandic skydivers who died during weekend jumps at a popular southwest Florida camp did not deploy their main parachutes, the co-owner of the facility said Sunday. * The fact that the men didn’t deploy their main parachutes could mean that they lost altitude awareness and didn’t know where they were during the dive, which is unusual, said T.K. Hayes, co-owner of Skydive City. * Both men had backup automatic activation devices, which deploy if the main parachutes are not deployed in time. " -- "backup automatic activation devices"? I can see that there won't be any unemployed lawyers for the next 3 or 4 years.

---

L-E headline: "Poll: Most Californians favor citizenship for illegal immigrants " -- Hmm, judging from past election results, my guess is that most Californians ARE illegal aliens to begin with, and some are not from this planet.

---

L-E story: " WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — The Museum of Aviation in Warner Robbins is eliminating about one-third of its collection. * Director Ken Emery said the museum is getting rid of 29 planes and three missiles. He said the museum didn’t have enough personnel to maintain all aircraft " -- Hmmm. three missiles... wonder if the purchasers will have to undergo a background check like hand gun owners?
