L-E story: "A
record 1,426 people around the world made Forbes magazine’s latest annual tally
of billionaires, up 16 percent from last year. Their average net worth was $3.8
billion, rising 3 percent from 2012. The total net worth for the list’s
billionaires was $5.4 trillion compared with $4.6 trillion a year ago." -- The
total wealth of the world's 1,426 richest people in the world, not the US, mind
you, totals $5.4 Trillion dollars. Their combined wealth is less than the debt
potUS 00-Bama has piled on the backs of us, our children and future generation
in only 4 years!

Lets see, locally we have a program that provides books to new moms to take
home with their babies, then we have another program that will trade you a
ticket to a Disney event if you bring those books to the library. Nice
cycle...not!

A NY Times columnist blasted potUS 00-Bama for not "taking the high road"
as he promised in his original inauguration speech. While I'm glad to see a
major lib source calling for potUS 00-Bama's feet to be held to the fire, I have
to disagree on one point the writer claims... potUS 00-Bama had indeed 'taken
the high road' in a sense. He's built a beer brewery in the White House, and
gotten the DOJ to stop prosecuting minor marijuana crimes.

The Letter Carrier Union is advertising for us to support them with our
calls to our Congresspersons. Of course, I might have had more sympathy if they
delivered their message via regular or even Saturday mail.
---
Online story: "The cuts in home mail deliveries now being made throughout
Die country were ordered by Postmaster General Donaldson six weeks ago in an
effort to whittle down the postal deficit— now running at the rate of more than
half a billion dollars a year. Still more drastic cuts in service will be
necessary. Donaldson has informed Congress, unless rates are raised on classes
of mail now being carried at a loss and unless the Senate restores some of the
reductions in Post Office appropriations which have been made by the House.
--Deficit of "half a billion dollars a year." That doesn't sound so bad..
Ooops, wait a minute , this article is from the Uniontown (PA) Morning Herald of
June 5, 1950! The Post Office has never been efficient in our lifetime.

I has thinking about buying a "Kindle" until an ad that just ran supporting
same-sex marriages.

You know, if the government was run on a zero-based budgeting basis, there
would have to be a budget approved and signed before any dispersals could be
made. The sequester is happening because of automatic spending increases covered
by the continued spending resolution funded by a continually rising debt
ceiling.

Online headline: "'Amish Mafia' Star Found Guilty of DUI" -- In a horse
drawn buggy?

I just watched Veep Bleep Biden look straight into the TV camera, point his
finger at it and reach way down into his craw and proclaim "President Obama is
not bluffing...President Obama is not bluffing". Hmmm... I snickered... can you
imagine how hard Ahmandine-JIHAD laughed, too?

Illinois has closed several prisons and have placed prisoners into more
crowded conditions in other prisons. Now the guards are complaining it's not as
safe. Well, the guards should have thought about that BEFORE they voted to
re-elect potUS 00-Bama.
---
You know, there does need to be an amendment to the 17th Amendment. Each
State should have two equally divided districts and each district elects the
Senators for representing that Districts opinion in the Senate. As it is, states
with a mega city have tow much influence over the citizens in more rural
areas.

Note from a fellow BCer: "The Muscogee county official land records have
been down 5 days. Loans and purchases are on hold. Nobody can research land,
liens etc. The system failed and no back up records liked we begged the clerk to
do." -- I do recall this being a campaign point that the media yawned at. How
about it, L-E, been investigating?
---
Online story:"In Cairo Secretary of State John Kerry was told Egypt's
secular-leaning opposition sees the US as an ally of the Muslim Brotherhood: --
"an ally to the Muslim Brotherhood"? DOH! More like a partner in crime!
---
Online headline: "Kerry Announces $250M in US Aid for Egypt" -- Wait
a minute, yesterday morning it was 'only' $190 MILLION.

McClatchy headline/story: "FresnoCounty looks for money in DC as budget
cuts hit * WASHINGTON —
(22) Fresno County officials are lobbying Congress at an awkward time
this week. * This year, the delegation is focusing on nine current or
proposed federal programs. They aren’t earmarks, the individual projects that
lawmakers once favored and that skeptics called pork. Led by House Republicans,
Congress has sworn off earmarks for the time being." -- "delegation is focusing
on nine current or proposed federal programs - They aren't earmarks"? It's bad
enough that California has so many low-info voters, but even California elected
officials are low-info as well! EVERY federal program outside the military is
an EARMARK... PORK.

Online story: "Israel is on a locust alert as swarms of the
destructive bugs descend on neighboring Egypt ahead of the Passover holiday." --
Hmmm, where have we heard this story before... oh, in that Good Book the
liberals refer to as a myth...

L-E headline/story: "City favored
in 20-year-old Barngrover house case * The
Georgia Supreme Court ruled unanimously Monday in the city of Columbus’ favor in
a 20-year legal battle with a local physician over a house and other property at
3301 Cathryn Drive. " -- Six mayors, two of them no longer with us, will finally
get well deserved relief from Barngrover. Hope his lawyer was working on a
contingency basis.
---
L-E story: "WASHINGTON — The Pentagon will furlough about 15,000
military school teachers and staff around the world because of the automatic
budget cuts that took effect last Friday," -- potUS 00-Bama has omnipotent
authority over every aspect of the 2.3% budget cuts, and he's picked, actually,
chosen to pick on teachers, National Parks and such to inconvenience average
Americans rather than go through the duplicative entitlement programs and
improve the government's efficiency.
---
There are so many
'soundoff' comments in the Columbus L-E from low-info submitters that one can
only conclude that the L-E "soundoff" picker is in the same boat with
them.
---
Interesting
picture in the L-E:
--- potUS 00-Bama
shows his biases in so many ways. Closest to him are the new energy and polution
Tsars, and the budget master is pushed back into the wall decorations. It's
about as close to him as she will ever get.
---
L-E story: "ATLANTA — A federal judge on Monday allowed the
Georgia governor’s removal of two-thirds of the school board members in a
suburban Atlanta school district " -- Ooops, wrong city... nevermind. Well, we
can be hopeful, can't we?
---
L-E story: "NEW
YORK — Heinz CEO William Johnson is entitled to a golden parachute worth $56
million if he’s fired by the company’s new owners. " -- You know, an executive
that basically gives himself such a package to saddle the new owner is obviously
not worth it, and will probably do something to trigger such a windfall at first
opportunity.
