Online story: "Elisabeth Hasselbeck is being fired from "The View," according to Us Weekly. * Quoting anonymous sources, the magazine reported Friday that the conservative co-host is following Joy Behar out the door after market researchers found that her political views were clashing with the audience. "People did not watch the show because of Elisabeth. So they told her yesterday her contract would not be renewed," a source told Us Weekly." -- Libs just don't have a clue when it comes to the truth on any issue. Behar was just another whining Lib and is easy to replace, but Hasselback gave the rest something to flash their claws at. Without a true conservative speaking up, "The View" will be just another Lib whine-fest and no popular than Algore's old show that even libs tire of quickly/.

Justin Bieber....You know, after the ludicrous exhibition the "BieB' made by throwing his 120 pound, kick-sand-in-my-face body at a group of paparazzi last week (and combined with other events), he's going to get a new nickname if I ever report anything he does... "the BOOB".

---

Online headline: "Afghan President Accuses US And Taliban Of Working Together" -- Well it would explain why potUS 00-Bama feels Taliban attacks have fallen off, but also confirms that Karzai thinks 00-Bama is a Muslim ....heh heh heh.

---

Online story: "NEW YORK -- Long seen as a leading contender, City Council Speaker Christine Quinn formally launched Sunday what she hopes will be a history-making mayoral bid. * A veteran of city politics, Quinn would be a groundbreaking mayor across two personal dimensions: She would be the first female and first openly gay mayor to lead the nation's largest city."{ -- And you know what, she's to the right of RINO Mayor Bllomberg.

---

Online headline: "Oscar Pistorius' Lawyers Appeal Bail Conditions In Murder Case" --Oooops, my bad. Thought the South African judge had put those lawyers where they need to be sometimes.

---

WRBL3 story: "The state House voted 149-18 last week to approve an amended version of the 2011 Georgia Tourism Development Act. Among other changes, lawmakers eliminated the governor's direct role in awarding the incentives." -- "eliminated the governor's direct role"? Hmmm, and Governor Deal is OKAY with this? And since it gives private businesses the right to keep a percentage of sales taxes it collects, then there should be signs telling of such a plot.

I hope Council & Mayor Obamalinson watched Fox New's "Myths, Lies, and Complete Stupidity" segment on government built and run rail systems. As it proved out in the MCSD board meetings, Council needs to know Ron White is right when he spouts off, "You can't fix stupid", and that Forrest Gump nailed it when he said, "Stupid is as stupid does".

---

The incident in Maryland, the one where a child was suspended from school for sculpting his Toaster Pop-up into an arguable form of a gun. Our local school board also has such a "zero-tolerance" policy. Maybe, no, definitely, it's time for parents to demand a zero-tolerance policy on stupidity on school board policy.

Why are new age educators so bent on trying to convince us that new methods are better than old ones when current SAT test grades are lower than the past?

---

L-E story: "All branches of the armed forces have informed the sponsors of the Thunder in the Valley Air Show that they will not participate in this year’s event scheduled for Saturday and Sunday at the Columbus Airport. * Event coordinator Phaedra Childers said Sunday that this is an effect of mandatory government budget cuts known as the sequester." -- Well, in a show of sympathy for the plight of the American taxpayer being scapegoated as the problem of runaway spending, let's all write out Congress reps and demand all military branched ground their units of Air Force 1 for the duration. Let potUS 00-Bama hail a cab if he wants a date with Michele.

---

Have you noticed a pattern in where the government is volunteering sequester-based spending cuts, National Parks, airport control towers, the military....? - These are the services that taxpaying Americans use, but what entitlement programs have you seen shaved back?

Reading about the concerns of the City Arborists claims about the two pines removed at Lakebottom reminds me of another set of trees. Remember the "tree climb" held on the median of the 1000 block of Broadway last year? The city arborist oversaw the cutting down of healthy Laurel Oak limbs to make it easier for people to invade the sanctuary above. At the same time, another Laurel Oak with major dead limbs throughout its mighty boughs was ignored, and those limbs are still a detriment to the tree, pedestrians, cyclists, and automobiles.

Low-info L-E "soundoff": "Alabama and Georgia voters are as backward as other states say we are: 27.4 percent of our children live below the poverty line, but we’re turning down millions in federal health care dollars." -- The only bit of ignorance I see is the writers lack of comprehension of where Fed money comes from.

---

L-E picture:

-- Hmmm, instead of canceling military participation in Thunder in the Valley which would be enjoyed by 20,000 or so taxpayers, why not cancel the security of a taxpayer paid servant that puts our soldiers in a specia "inl harms way" position that only benefits Hagel?

Based on 2010's expenditures of $3.6 Trillion, the government spends $6,850,000.00 per minute, that's $411,000,000 per hour, or $9,864,000,000.00 per 24 hours (one day). Hmmm, that means that if on March 1st had the government gave every federal government service a 9 day unpaid 'time out' that the sequester would be paid for and over on this past Saturday.

CSU Commentary in the L-E headline: "Importance of sending students abroad " -- Wait a minute... that's the line other countries use to send their promising students to the US for further education... it really doesn't work the other way.

---

From L-E opinion editorial yesterday on Whitewater: "Denver-based whitewater course designer John Anderson has been involved in this project almost from the outset." -- Yep, first proposal was to simply restore the Chattahoochee to its pre-E&P, pre-City Mills state of naturalness. Didn't take long for monetary greed to rear its head.
