HuffPost "headlie": "Holder resigning: Attorney general backed rights" --
"backed rights"? How warped.. Did he back the rights of American citizens to
know their neighbors were legal? Did he back the rights of American citizens to
know all who vote are who they say they are? Did he back the rights of American
citizens to be treated fairly by the IRS? Did be back the rights of the families
of those killed at Benghazi? Did he back the rights of law abiding citizens to
know they could count on our Constitutional rights? In a word.. NO!

Online headline: "Despite slow, troubled start, Holder leaves mark at
Justice Department" -- Yeah, Holder left his "mark' on justice.. 666...6 years,
6 months, 6 scandals, pray that we recover.
---
Online headline: "Rev. Al Sharpton claims he is advising White House in
search for new Attorney General" --
Hmmm.. is this a trailer for a Saturday Night Live skit?
---
Online story: "Controversial civil rights activist Rev. Al Sharpton says he is helping the White House pick the next U.S. attorney general." -- Well, at least Sharpton is not referred to as a civil rights LEADER.

Online story: "Journalists attending the annual Clinton Global Initiative
have reportedly been kept in close quarters and given not so much as the freedom
to go to the bathroom alone. * New York Times reporter Amy Chozick wrote about
her experience on Wednesday, describing the basement where journalists were
held, tight security presence and the press aide who actually followed her to
the bathroom stall." -- Take note that this is a NY Times writer
(reporter/journalist is sorta a stretch) who is generally thrilled to drink the
Kool-Aid..

Democrat Gubernatorial candidate Jason Carter says the best thing for the
economy is to have a middle class with money in its pockets. What he didn't say
is that he knows how to do that, or that he wouldn't spend his every moment
digging into their pockets to take more taxes.

L-E story: "(Georgia Labor Commissioner Mark) Butler noted that Georgia has
added nearly 80,000 jobs over the last 12 months, giving it an annual job growth
rate of 2 percent. That’s “very strong because the national average in job
growth is only 1.8 percent,” he said." -- Hmm.. Governor Deal sees new jobs..
Jason Carter sees new pockets to dig into.

WTVM9 story: "COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -The Chattahoochee River is set to
receive some much-needed upgrades this week thanks to the National Weather
Service. * Rains take a huge toll on the river and the RiverWalk. There is major
flooding most times during heavy rains, and the river forecast services in
Columbus want to take away that danger. * Beginning Thursday, Sept. 25, flood
stage levels on the Hooch will be lowered with the help of a new hydrologic
system. * In turn, this will help to keep the area around the river safer during
severe weather." -- Hmmm...Will someone please explain how one goes about
controlling flood waters. Water, especially upstream flood water, takes the
course of least reistance,, alway has, always will.

L-E headline: "Muscogee Marshal's deputies performing speed checks on Macon
Road" -- Good grief, if there aren't enough Municipal Court papers to deliver or
renters to be evicted, why not close the Marshall's office? Hey, may Chief Boren
can have them brought in for impersonating CPD traffic cops?

L-E headline: " Giving religion a bad name" -- Oooops.. thought it was
about what Obamageddon and the Democrats were doing to Christianity.

If you haven't heard about it, there's a series called "Black Jesus" being
aired on some cable channel (google it for some video).. with the amount of
cussing Black Jesus does, it must be based on the Gospel of Jeremiah
Wright.

LIV's L-E "soundoff": "Thirty years ago America had 60 million guns and
every few days local news reported on another shooting. Today we have 300
million guns and the first 10 minutes of every broadcast is shooting incidents."
-- Good grief.. guns don't pull their own triggers. The difference now and 30-40
years ago was that murderers used to get the death sentence carried out.. it
sent a message to those thinking about committing such crimes, and it took any
chance of recidivism off the table.
---
L-E's "Thought for Today, “A child educated only at school is an uneducated
child.” — George Santayana, American philosopher (born 1863, died this date in
1952)." -- Unfortunately.. those poorly educated, socially promoted and
graduated are now parents, and not qualified to help their own children at
home.

L-E story: "LANCASTER, N.H. — The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department
says a Georgia woman has been rescued from a Mount Washington trail after
suffering an allergic reaction from an insect sting. * Conservation officers
were assisted by officers from a local fire department, a search and rescue
team, the U.S. Forest Service, the Appalachian Mountain Club and good
Samaritans" -- Good grief.. is there such a shortage of real news that this item
has gotten the attention of the NH Fish and game Department executive offices,
mainstream media and the L-E? And look at the resources spent by various
government agencies.. If they time to do this, then they have too many employees
and resources.

Derek Jeter went out knocking in the game winning run.. wanna bet when
Hollywood does a movie about it, an umpire will make a bad call denying Jeter of
his civil rights?

L-E headline: "Filling your tank for less * Prices at the pump fall below
$3 a gallon for much of the U.S." -- Hmmm.. everywhere but Columbus, GA.. maybe
the DOJ will look into a somewhat monopoly situation in the Columbus
distribution system.
