Obamageddon's foreign policy reminds me of the joke about the slow talking Southern Belle... before she could tell a boy she wasn't that kind of girl... she was...
---
L-E story: "A 13-year-old student reported she was a victim of sexual battery in an Arnold Magnet Academy classroom after she agreed to hug a classmate on Aug. 27, according to a Columbus police report. * "There was a consensual hug between the two, which is an inappropriate display of affection," (Muscogee County School District Director of Communications Valerie) Fuller said * "Depending on what it is, any inappropriate conduct can lead up to criminal charges or disciplinary actions such as suspension or detention," Fuller said" -- Good grief... "criminal charges"? talk about making a mountain out of a mole hill!
---
L-E story: "Columbus attorney Michael Eddings has, at least for now, walked away from a case involving $2 million in his firm's trust account that seemed to have vanished like thin vapor in a stiff wind. * No criminal charges have yet been filed against either Michael or Sonya Eddings. So far, the only people who seem to have paid any real penalty in this case are the clients of the Eddings' real estate sideline whose money disappeared." -- Good grief.."no criminal charges"? Talk about making a mole hill out of a mountain! If the GA Bar Association thinks this is policing its own industry, then the GA Bar Association needs to be barred from doing business in GA.
---
L-E headline: "Columbus State president explains why he's retiring" -- It doesn't matter why...I didn't have to read any further..just glad the spot is opening up for someone with the college's and city's best interests in mind.
---
Online story: "After the Israeli government announced appropriation of 4000 dunam for construction in the West Bank, the US expressed opposition to the move. “We have already made clear our view on the construction”, said a State Department official. “Israel's announcement hurts the goal of two countries for two nations” -- Good grief..Israel just needs to draw a red line around it and Obamageddon won't cross it.
---
Comment on above item: America's Jewish community should revisit its political attachment with the Democratic Party. Nothing has really changed in the one way adoration path the Jewish vote has had, but now Obamageddon is just more transparent with his disdain of Israel and support of Islamic doctrine.
---
Queen of double-speak: “My accomplishments as Secretary of State? Well, I'm glad you asked! My proudest accomplishment in which I take the most pride, mostly because of the opposition it faced early on, you know… the remnants of prior situations and mindsets that were too narrowly focused in a manner whereby they may have overlooked the bigger picture and we didn’t do that and I’m proud of that. Very proud. I would say that’s a major accomplishment.”- Hillary Rodham Clinton 11 March 2014" -- Even the Hillsbury DOUGHgirl can't answer the question all of America should know...
---
Online quote source: "“Look at a day when you are supremely satisfied at the end. It's not a day when you lounge around doing nothing; it's a day you've had everything to do and you've done it.” - Margaret Thatcher " -- Hmmm...obviously this is not hanging on the wall of either the Hillsbury DOUGHgirl's nor Obamageddon's office..
---
Even Bleep Veep Biden has a plan to follow ISIS "to the Gates of Hell", but where the hell is Hillewinsky?
---
You know..it's almost comical.. certainly ironic, that those $15.00 minimum wage fast food protesters won't be the ones who get a job @ $15.00 an hour. If an employer is going to pay $600.00 per week, the employer will have better educated applicants from which to choose, and will demand/expect more from them.
---
Online story: "The U.S. federal government, an entity that is $17 trillion in debt, has spent nearly $3 million trying to figure out why lesbians are generally fat while their gay male counterparts tend to be skinny and/or fit. * The federal government is still seeking answers as to why the majority of lesbians are obese and U.S. taxpayers are footing the bill, which now totals $2.87 million. * The National Institutes of Health (NIH) study is now in its fourth year, receiving an additional $670,567 for fiscal year 2014. The project seeks to determine why “nearly three-quarters of adult lesbians overweight or obese,” and why gay males are not." -- Good grief .. why is the government worrying about homosexuals' waist sizes? What government should be worried about is the government WASTE size!
---
Online headline/story: "DNC Chair Wasserman Schultz Implies GOP Gov. Scott Walker Beats Women * the Florida congresswoman said the Governor of Wisconsin is a domestic abuser: "Scott Walker has given women the back of his hand. I know that is stark. I know that is direct. But that is reality." * Wasserman Schultz added: "What Republican tea party extremists like Scott Walker are doing is they are grabbing us by the hair and pulling us back. It is not going to happen on our watch." -- Woman in America should be aghast at the level of deceit the Demoocratic Party will engage in. Even the Democratic Party candidate for Governor in Wisconsin, a woman herself, was backpedaled at full speed from Washyamouthout Schultz's rant.

In an effort to support Obamageddon's claims that the economy is improving, cars sales are being reported at an 8 year high. You know, just last week, it was reported that more cars are being "leased" than ever. When a car is " leased" doesn't mean it is "sold". Either the dealer or manufacturer still owns the vehicle, and if the lessor defaults early or, for that matter, turns said vehicle back in at the end-of-lease, the dealer or manufacturer is stuck with a used car at an inflated value..just the right conditions for another bubble burst.
---
Related to comment - online story: "It has been two years since General Motors admitted that there was little demand for the Chevy Volt (as reported here) due to there being "no plug-in market." Their answer was to "create market" to drive sales for the politically popular but economically-nonviable Volt. GM manipulated sales for the Volt through the use of subsidized leases at a time when President Obama's favorite, green wonder-car was being criticized for low sales as it failed to live up to the early hype." -- Confirmation
---
Online story: "Liberals put down a tarp in front of the White House and dumped buckets of dirt over their heads in order to protest Israel's air strikes against Hamas militants." -- Hmmm, well. if there's one thing liberals are good at, it's throwing political dirt to cover up the real issues. Guess we cou;d give the movement an appropriate name... how about the "Scum bucket challenge"?

Passed along from a fellow BCer:
Here are six Conundrums of socialism in the United States of America:
1. America is capitalist and greedy - yet half of the population are subsidized.
2. Half of the population are subsidized - yet they think they are victims.
3. They think they are victims - yet their representatives run the government.
4. Their representatives run the government - yet the poor keep getting poorer.
5. The poor keep getting poorer - yet they have things that people in other countries only dream about.
6. They have things that people in other countries only dream about - yet they want America to be more like those other countries.

The Columbus L-E highlighted the resignation of a college president, and a decades old trial, while relegating the news of another Valley area Medal of Honor recipient to be honored for his duty in WWII to a lesser location. Priorites?

Read about this remarkable American - http://www.ledger-enquirer.com/2014/09/04/3282828/vietnam-veteran-to-recive-medal.html?sp=/99/100/&ihp=1

Best L-E "soundoff" on the day: " Given Michelle Nunn’s limited experience, does that mean Zig-Zag Zell has endorsed Know-Nothing Nunn?" -- "Know-Nothing-Nunn"... whatta great reference...It might be altered by calling her "Sgt Know-Nothing-Nunn" in honor of Sgt I-Know-Nothing Schultz.
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "It use to be loud rap music that pierced my eardrums. Now it's rednecks and their loud trucks." -- Hmmm... I guess this lib is the ultimate bigot.

Online story revisited from earlier this summer: "The suggested contribution amounts for entry to a Capitol Hill fundraiser held Tuesday evening for Democratic Senate candidate Michelle Nunn rose to $2,600 a head. The special guest advertised on the invitation was former Democratic senator Sam Nunn, the candidate’s father, who represented Georgia in Washington for over two decades. * There was another guest, however, who probably turned more heads. Among the co-hosts of the of the event was Virtual Murrell, an early leader of the Black Panther Party during its militant phase and later a political consultant who, in the mid 1990s, spent time in jail for using his perch in city government to extort local businesses. * Murrell was indicted in 1994 by a federal grand jury on charges that he solicited and received over $37,000 in bribes from businesses in San Francisco while serving as an aide to an Oakland city councilman" -- Of course, Know-Nothing-Nunn backpedaled as fast as she could, but not because of lack of knowledge. because of being outed.
---
From the L-E's "Today in History" feature: " In 1939, four days after war began in Europe, President Franklin D. Roosevelt issued a proclamation declaring U.S. neutrality." -- Hmmm, and there were people who thought Obamageddon went on the first "Apology Tour". We saw what happened in 1941... what is going to happen in 2014?
