One thing for sure..when the next president takes over in 2017, he/she can
blame the last president and both parties' voters will have something in common
to believe.

HuffPost story: "Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) blasted former House
Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) for taking a job with investment bank Moelis
& Co. * "How wrong can this be that basically what's happening here is that
people work in Washington, and man, they hit that revolving door with a speed
that would blind you," -- Good grief... coming out of the mouth of a woman who
stole a Harvard, one-class, $350,000 per annum teaching position based on an
affirmative action placement as a pseudo Native American...

Instant replay: "HuffPost story: "Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) blasted

investment bank Moelis & Co. * "How wrong can this be that basically what's
happening here is that people work in Washington, and man, they hit that
revolving door with a speed that would blind you," -- Hmmm, yet not a murmur on
Obamaphile Jon Samuels who was hired byhe Chicago-based Vistria Group,
co-founded last year by longtime Obama pal Marty Nesbitt, one of
the Obamageddon's top lieutenants on Capitol Hill * It’s not immediately clear
what role Samuels will fill for the fledgling investment outfit * The Chicago
native doesn’t appear to have any experience working in the financial services
industry."

HuffPost headline: "Actually, Burger King Has Been Trying To Dodge Taxes
For Years" -- "trying to dodge taxes for years"? Good grief.. Congress writes
the laws and it's a guaranteed right of taxpayers to only be in compliance with
them. Any taxpayer, no, all taxpayers are better off spending $100.00 on CPAs in
order to save $101.00 in taxes.

HuffPost headline/story: "Marijuana Legalization Supported By A Growing
Majority Of Americans, Survey Shows * The survey, released last week from online
polling data company CivicScience, asked more than 450,000 U.S. adults over the
last two years this question: "Would you support or oppose a law in your state
that would legalize, tax, and regulate marijuana like alcohol?" -- Good grief..
just went to the CivicScience website and took a poll. You'd have to believe
Algore if you think the CivicScience poll was objective and reflective of public
opinion.

You know...finding out that an ISIS terrorist worked for Delta in an
American airport, yet an 80+ year old grandmother and babies in diapers get
strip searched is just wrong.
---
Online headline: "MYSTERY DROPOUT Kansas Dem quits Senate race with no
explanation" -- "no explanation"? How about a loss cause, and DNC pullout of
support?
---
L-E headline/story: "One-year suspension recommended for Michael Eddings *
There have been no criminal charges filed against Michael or Sonya Eddings,*
There were about 50 overdrafts in the trust account, some of them more than
$100,000, Cobb said during the hearing. * Judge Clay Land issued a $1.99 million
judgment for First American against Michael Eddings and a $2.09 million judgment
against Sonya Eddings. * Michael Eddings has not paid any restitution to the
victims. He said if he retains his law license, there is a chance he can get
loans to repay the victims, according to testimony" -- What BS! Good grief..
what homeowner.. mortgage company for that matter, would want the name of
Eddings on a title search?
Somebody needs to be in jail for a meaningful amount of time, and licenses
need to be revoked!
---
Online story: "Late Tuesday, it was reported that Islamic Jihadists stole
11 commercial jets last month from a Libyan airport. This news has sparked
concerns of another terrorist attack on the 9/11, which is also the second
anniversary of the attack at Benghazi by Muslim terrorists that resulted in the
deaths of four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens." -- Hmmm, and my
guess is that the jihadists have the Malaysian jet that went missing as
well.
---
Conservative pundits... well those wrapped up in the future of impeachment
proceedings against Obamageddon... will do more harm to the conservative
movement than good. Good grief.. Impeachment is only a skirmish.. the battle
would be lost in the Senate and mainstream media will blast impeachment
proceedings so hard that the issues Republicans can win on will be washed
overboard. Just get on with what is going to matter.... control of Senate and
House!
---
You know...the best way to evaluate political candidates is to visualize
them as in the 'other' party. That way you can tell whether you're voting for
the candidate or the party.

Online story: "Given the fact that there are some sycophantic Obama
supporters out there, this should come as a surprise. Nearly two weeks after the
barbaric beheading of American photojournalist James Foley by the Muslim
terrorist group ISIS, actor Eric Roberts chose Labor Day to weigh in on who he
believes bears responsibility. * Roberts does not blame ISIS. He does not blame
radical Islam. He does not fault Obama for just eight months ago referring to
ISIS as JV (meaning junior varsity) while the group was actually on the rise. He
does not criticize Obama for his failed foreign policy. No, Roberts instead
places the blame squarely on former President George W. Bush, who has not
President since January 20,2009." -- Well, anoither Hollywooder is on my "no
buy" list.
---
Obamageddon now says he wants to get ISIS down to a "manageable size".
Hmmm, why?.. Wouldn't that would be like keeping a ball of sourdough bread
dough so you have enough to create a new batch?
---
Online story: "Congressional candidate J.T. Smith of Phenix City is upset
with the Republicans in Congress -- so much that he compared Republicans to the
terrorist group, the Islamic State in Iraq and the the Levant, also known as
ISIS or ISIL. * Smith's timing will likely get his tweet more attention than it
has already garnered on social media, as ISIL-ISIS reportedly beheaded a second
American journalist on Tuesday. ISIS militants previously beheaded American
journalist James Foley, on Aug. 19. * Smith wrote: "The greatest country on
earth is being bullied from within. Actions of Republicans in congress are worse
than #ISIL." -- Hey.. this is getting personal.. Smith is from our
"across-the-river" neighboring city. Rise up out of the (_@_), PHENIX City
voters!
---
The totals, rounded off I'm sure, are in for Whitewater 2014.. 21,000
riders.. Using only the high end rate, I figure that the Cities of Columbus
& Phenix City will split about $34,000.00 in user fees. Well, remember the
selling spiel? --"Creating a two mile whitewater rafting run that begins and
ends in a vibrant and historic mill district, attracting 60,000 to 100,000
visitors per year and, according to a recent economic study, have an annual
economic impact of $4 to $7 million." -- Hmmm. only 1/3rd to 1/5th of the
visitors as promised, and a drop-in-the-bucket economic impact.. You know.. if
the taxpayers only had $1,000,000.00 "invested", getting about 3.5% Return On
Investment would be pretty good. Unfortunately it's in the neighborhood of
$15,000,000.00, perhaps higher, but the total figures are not what Mayor
Obamalinson wants to talk about. Even more unfortunately.. the future
maintenance costs will grow as well.
---
Hey.. if Phenix City will chip in its share of the Whitewater fees, the
$244K Riverwalk can be paid off in about 8 years... now if only Phenix City will
chip in some toilet paper as well.

Online headline: "Biden Warns: We Will Chase ISIS 'to the Gates of Hell' --
Well, it's a given that Biden can't get too close to the "Gates of Hell" as his
forehead will melt....

Online story: "Karen Lewis, the Chicago Teachers Union president who rails
against wealthy residents of the city for not paying their fair share, makes
more than $240,000 a year and owns three homes. * One of the homes is in Hawaii,
and another in the upscale ‘Harbor Country’ area of southwestern Michigan
* Lewis last year blamed rich white people for the systemic problems in the Chicago school system and wants to raise their taxes to fix things." -- Hmmm... guess Lewis thinks of money as racial.. light green vs dark green?

First, some background on Mike Dickinson. He is attempting to run for a VA
seat in the U.S. House of Representatives. By Dickinson’s own admission, he
still is running, despite the fact that he missed the filing deadline and wasn’t
on the ballot. If that doesn’t prove that liberals live in fantasy-land, I don’t
know what does. - Online story: "Americas favorite brain dead liberal is at it
once again. Mike Dickinson, a democrat, says the NRA is like ISIS! Dickinson
also prays that NRA members contract the deadly Ebola virus, and die." -- Guess
we can be glad Dickinson is a liberal, and probably doesn't believe in God, so
his prayer will go unanswered.
---
Obamageddon has promised "justice" for the beheaded journalists. Hmmm.. in other words, he's just drawn another line in the sand.

Disappointed LIV's L-E "soundoff": " It’s impossible for any president to
have a perfect strategy for every crisis in today’s world. Partisan and media
critics are often unrealistic in their expectations and evaluations." -- Only
people who believe Obamageddon walks on water expect a "perfect strategy". The
rest of us would just like to know that his strategies are simply in the best
interest of our children's/grandchildren's future.
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "Republican warmongers are vocal in condemning the
tragic beheading of James Foley, but you won’t see them lining up at recruitment
offices to avenge this evil." -- Hmmm.. guess this "soundoffer" didn't make it
there either.
---
L-E headline: "Detroit man gets 17 years in porch shooting" -- Oooops, my
bad.. was wondering how this porch's wounds could be distinguished from any
other Detroit house's wounds?
---
L-E story: "Egypt’s top religious body demanded Wednesday that a new
belly-dancing TV show be suspended for “corrupting morals” and serving
“extremists” who could use it as a pretext to depict Egyptian society as
anti-Islamic." -- Hmmm, and here in the USA, Common Core probably offers
belly-dancing school classes in regular and AP versions.
---
L-E headline: "Obama casts Russia as threat to peace" -- Hmmm, isn't
Obamageddon the same person who relayed a message to Putin that he would be
"more flexible after the election"?
---
Hmmm, why would any country feel secure of Obamageddon now drawing lines in
the sand that the UN will support?
---
I hope the Council sent observers from our traffic engineering office to
check out the underpasses on 1st Ave north of TSYS, and the 11th Street one by
Cott Beverages to see what roads look like in a heavy rainwhen you tunnel under
railroad tracks.
