HuffPost "headlie"/story: "NATO allies agree to take on Islamic State threat * The U.S. and 10 of its key allies agreed Friday that the Islamic State group is a significant threat to NATO countries and that they will take on the militants by squeezing their financial resources and going after them with military might." -- America plus 10 of its key allies"? Hmmm.. there are 28 countries in NATO...11 countries don't even make of a majority,
---
Online headline/story: "Nato creates 'spearhead' to deter Russia * The force was ordered into life Friday by President Barack Obama and other NATO leaders at a summit meeting in Wales to deter Putin and make NATO's most vulnerable members, such as Poland, Romania and the Baltic republics, feel safer from Russia's million-strong armed forces in light of Moscow's military involvement in Ukraine." -- Good grief.. one day.. two new wars Obamageddon and mainstream media will eventually blame Bush43.
---
You know... while Obamageddon is drawing more lines in the sand in the Mid-East and Eurasia, ISIS/alQaida and Russia can outflank him by sending troops in from our Tex-Mex border. Of course, Obamageddon and mainstream media will blame Bush43 for letting them camp on his ranch.
---
Online story: "NBA commissioner Adam Silver said that he would consider putting games on as early as 10 a.m. to accommodate the global market, especially in China." -- Yeah.. I can just see Lebron James or Carmelo Anthony calling the hotel desk and asking for a 6:00 AM wake-up call.
---
HuffPost headline: "Clinton has been elusive about whether she will run for president -- but on Friday, she finally gave a timeline for when she'll decide." -- "elusive"? Well, what's new? She's elusive about Bengahzi, cattle futures, Whitewater, Rose Law Firm, Vince Foster, accomplishments as Secretary of State, and the whereabouts of Bill as well as the announcement date-line drawn in the sand.
---
L-E headline/story: "Local leaders discuss jail overcrowding solutions * ...ankle bracelets, a more unified approach to bonds and programs to keep fathers involved in the lives of their children were possible solutions. * a program called Legitimation Station, which was created by local judges, attorneys, court personnel and other agencies to assist non-custodial fathers in becoming better parents." -- Excuse me, but how does putting fathers with ankle monitors back in homes help as a role model for children? To me, it just reinforces that the court system doesn't make the consequences an effective deterrent.

With the MCSD wanting to make criminal charges against a "consensual" middle school couple for hugging, I feel pretty sure the MCSD would have gone for the death penalty at the Pacelli-Seminole County game. The band's flag corps twirled fake rifles, and one of them twirled flaming batons.
---
L-E headline/story: "High school student charged with stealing teacher's Mercedes * Police say an 18-year-old Jordan High School student stole his 68-year-old teacher's silver 2014 E350 Mercedes after he found the key on her desk Wednesday, according to court testimony. -- "2014 Mercedes E350"? "key on her desk"? How enlightening... a myth exploded about low teachers' pay, and an entrapment defense for the 18 year old man.. well, at least a civil suit for endangerment cause by reckless abandonment of said keys.
---
Online story: "“Alarming” numbers of inactive voters are fattening election rolls in North Carolina, an electoral group charges. * The Voter Integrity Project of North Carolina reports that voters classified as inactive grew from 460,065 in 2007 to 739,041 this year – a 62.3 percent increase. * VIP calls them “missing voters” who election officials can no longer locate." -- Nothing a photo-ID wouldn't solve....You know... what lawful American citizen could be against photo-IDs that protect the rights of American citizens... Oh, yeah,,, Pric Holder and Obamageddon...
---
Online headline/story: "Sen Kay Hagan, D-NC: Look, I didn’t realize people would lose their health plans ’til a few months ago * Hagan didn’t just vote for the provision that triggered mass cancellations; when Republicans offered a resolution to spare consumers from that rule’s consequences, Hagan voted in lock step with her fellow Democrats to bury it" -- You know... voters' remorse was once the exclusive domain of the voters who elected Democrats to office...
---
Online headline: "Kerry Says It Is Our Biblical ‘Duty’ To Protect Muslim Countries Against Climate Change" -- Good grief... Does Kerry expect the world, especially the Muslims, to believe that115-120 degree weather in Iraq et al is a sudden phenomena of climate change?
---
Why are people so intent on making the death, at age 81, of Joan Rivers seem tainted by trying to destroy a medical team. She was 81...don't know for sure, but probably on cummadin (or similar blood thinner) and had to stop taking it week before the surgery. She had a cardiac arrest, which is a known danger in such situations. Mainstream media has already tainted the legacy of Robin Williams...how about not doing the same to Joan Rivers.

Recent polls have Obamageddon at his lowest approval rating.. 38% (well deserved.. and earned) ever. That sounds pretty bad, but what's even worse is that his disapproval rating is 54%. That means that even with the support of ALL the "not sures", Obamageddon has less than half the country's approval.
---
Why does the Republican leadership insist on shooting itself in the foot on important issues? Why is Boehner convening a committee to bring Kerry in to explain what's going on? All that happens is Republicans look petty as Kerry and Democrats on the committee play their mainstream media "pity party" serenade about Republicans being mean spirited. Boehner should just make a Republican policy statement.

Online headline: "Florida city backs plan to buy one-way bus tickets for homeless" -- Ah! Now Mayor Obamalinson's drive to rid Homelessness in Columbus, and the high speed rail to Atlanta begin to clear up...
---
Online story: "Michelle Nunn pledges to “end government shutdowns and self-inflicted crises” by supporting Sen. Mark Udall’s amendment to require Congress to balance the budget and a “no budget, no pay” law that would block lawmakers from getting paychecks if they fail to pass a spending plan." -- Say what? "supporting ...Udall's amendment to require Congress to balance the budget"? Good grief.. Section 4 of the 14th Amendment basically rules out a balanced budget ("The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned") to give Congress and the President the power to act immediately on any aggression, domestic or internationally. In other words..Know-Nothing-Nunn's will Udall's amendment proposal that would neuter US response time to an attack, and may repeal the entire 14th Amendment on which includes the basis of same-sex marriages civil rights suits.
---
Online headline: "Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Michelle Nunn lays out 8-point plan to help small business" -- Good grief.. what does a person politically appointed to a non-profit corporation which operates off of government grants (tax dollars) and personal donations know about helping a private business owner?
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "How come we can find enough private and/or public funding for massive projects such as $672 million baseball stadiums, but we can’t find a few million to keep from having to lay off teachers?" -- Definitely a Low Info Voter.. obviously doesn't read about a teacher's new Mercedes E350 being stolen at a school here in Columbus.
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": " A letter writer says the South was making progress back in the ’50s. Telling an elderly black lady to stand up so a young white man could sit down is not progress." -- probably not, but it was the beginning of progress. Unfortunately, bigots, like this "soundoffer", try too hard not to see progress, and work too hard at derailing progress.
---
L-E headline: "Kool & The Gang to host free concert Sept. 13 at York Field" -- Ooops.. my bad.. Thought there was a typo in the headline, and should have read, "Kool-Aid & The Gang to host free concert Sept. 13 at York Field" and that it was a Democratic Party voter registration event.
---
It was a big night for Columbus area high school football teams.. Pacelli and Carver and Central (of Phenix City) all impressively beat playoff quality teams!
---
L-E headline story: "Plenty of light! Feds are selling off lighthouses * Sixty-eight of the lighthouses have gone for free to preservationists while 36 others sold at public auction thanks to the National Historic Lighthouse Preservation Act of 2000, which allows the government to dispose of federally-owned lighthouses" -- Hmmm... sounds like something Bill Clinton would sign into law..... anything to shut down a spotlight on what goes on in government.
