Apology .. well, more of an explanation.. about yesterday's "non-delivery"
of The Breakfast Club. We were out of town visiting our eldest daughter in
Athens, GA. We stayed at our previously preferred hotel, the Athen's Hilton
Garden Inn as we have many times before. When I tried to connect on the Hilton
Honors WiFi, I.. basically, couldn't. The front desk was useless Sunday evening,
so I called the provider early Monday AM.. a very eager ATT IT-guy tried to
connect my computer, but wasn't able to. A long time ago, I was a customer of
AT&T... but not in decades.. AT&T probably wonders why I left them and
don't respond to their constant efforts to "reconnect me". Hey, AT&T... CAN
YOU HEAR ME NOW? Oh, Hilton.. guess I'm going to have to find another "home" in
Athens next time.

Hillewinsky said she's the "Champion of the Middle Class"... Hmmm, there
she goes again lying about things we already know are lies... she's nowhere near
the middle (far left of), and she certainly has no class.
---
Sorta strange that "mainscream media" is negatively fixated on Jeb Bush's
campaign strategy "Jeb! - 2016".. after all, " mainscream media" is in love with
Hillewinsky's "H>"

There's a story on a Colorado youth football team's equipment trailer being
stolen with $150,000.00 worth of equipment..excuse me, but I want to see
receipts paid for that $150K before I consider any donation. Then, if those
receipts can be provided, I'd work hard to have that coach disbarred from you
sports.. Let's face, if that tean had 25 players, that would mean there's
$6,000.00 of equipment for each player. What this sounds like is that the coach
had Tammy Faye Bakker buying the equipment..that or it was purchased with a
government credit card.
UPDATE: The trailer and equipment were revovered and none was missing.. The
League's president comment that the rush to capitalize on sympathy in hopes to
raise money to replace the equipment had brought in $4,600.00 on "GoFundMe", and
the dilemma was whether to return those donations or buy updated equipment..Good
grief.. "GoFundMe" should make that decision and refund the donors money, and
Lafayette, Colorado council on youth football should ban the league's president
on a "morals turpitude" reason for lack of honesty and leadership for young
football players!

WTVM9 "editorial" story: "COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Yahoo! News recently
released a ranking of America's shrinking cities and named Columbus number one
on that list. * Mayor Teresa Tomlinson calls the list and the ranking
"irresponsible" - and we agree. It is also a very superficial ranking that does
not reflect the real Columbus. * The ranking is based on 2014 census data and
cites manufacturing job loss as the sole statistic. For people who have lived in
Columbus and know its strengths, that's old news. * It's precisely because
Columbus faced up to the loss of manufacturing years ago that Columbus has
successfully reinvented itself, diversifying its economy and vastly improving
the quality of life." -- "successfully reinvented itself"? Good grief, when you
lose manufacturing jobs.. skilled, higher paying jobs... and replace them with
service industry jobs.. you are not "reinventing".. you're basically prolonging
death... This is quite apparent in the stagnation of sales tax revenues, and the
renewal of the MCSD SPLOST on July 1st will only speed up the "shrinking" as
more tax dollars will be taken out of consumers' pockets so government can spend
it.

L-E headline/story: "Kirby Smith homicide: Judge orders Haynie's ankle
monitor to be removed * (Judge) Jordan asked (Senior Assistant District Attorney
Don) Kelly on Monday why the defendant hasn't faced an indictment now that her
case is over a year old. Kelly said he and District Attorney Julia Slater have
spent hours going through hundreds of witness testimony and two investigations'
worth of information. He also said one of the main cold case detectives has been
tied up with the Steve Toms' homicide trial that has now entered its third week
just a few doors down from Jordan's courtroom." -- Excuse me, but like the
judge, I do not buy this.. If the "Cold Case" info was strong enough for the DA
to issue an arrest warrant, this case should have been ready for a grand jury
presentation.

Online story: In Hillewinsky's "second" declaration of candidacy speech,
"he also asserted, without irony, that “we have to stop the endless flow of
secret, unaccountable money that is distorting our elections, corrupting our
political process, and drowning out the voices of our people.” -- Good grief..
most of the "talk" about "secrets and unaccountable money" has been...
justifiably... about HER!

That "black" woman who's president of the Spokane NAACP... To me it's not
about whether she's black or not (after all, Bill Clinton claims he was the 1st
"black president"), but whether honesty has a place in the black vote...track
records, such as the black vote for Clinton and Obama's second terms, where both
men demonstrated their disdain for the truth in their first, show the black vote
does put any faith in honesty,

L-E story: "Board to vote on assistant principal appointments Monday * The
Muscogee County School Board will vote on four assistant principal appointments
Monday. * The board meeting will begin at 6 p.m. (last night.. haven't seen
results as this is a technically delayed item) in the Muscogee County Public
Education Center on Macon Road. * The board will also likely vote on principal
appointments at Fox Elementary School and Lonnie Jackson Academy but the names
of those to be recommended by superintendent David Lewis are not listed on the
meeting agenda because final reference checks are being made." -- " final
reference checks are being made"? Good grief.. what kind of leader schedules a
confirmation for promotion that hinge of an ongoing investigation?
---
Online "STORY": "The two killers who cut their way out of a
maximum-security prison apparently used tools routinely stored there by
contractors, taking care to return them to their toolboxes after each night's
work so that no one would notice, a prosecutor said Sunday." -- Good grief..
hasn't a "light bulb" gone off in the prosecutor's head yet? Think about it.. On
a daily basis, two convicted murderers supposedly had access to a locked storage
area area each evening where they could "check out" power equipment before
retiring to their cells, and then have access early in the morning to check said
equipment back in... and no UNION guard "noticed" anything?
---
Hmmm, after running up $1,000,000.00 a day looking for the two escaped
murderers, don't you wonder if Governor Cuomo is second guessing New Yorks doing
away with the death penalty?
---
Oh... that CNN reporter who called the Dallas wacko who shot up the police
station "brave" & "courageous" has backstepped a bit..While she didn't
actually apologize, she did say she "misspoke" . Good grief, she's just a
liberal bitch...and, that is not a "misspeak" on my part.

Online story: "Rachel Dolezal resigned as president of the NAACP's Spokane
chapter Monday amid a furor over racial identity that erupted after her parents
came forward to say she has been posing as black for years when she is actually
white. * The announcement was posted on the civil rights organization's Facebook
page. It said the attention surrounding Dolezal has distracted from the group's
goals." -- "distracted from the group's goals"? Huh? Insn't the group's goal to
promote diversity and harmony between all races? Allowing for her to resign just
exacerbates the racist divide and the racist attitude of the NAACP.

Online headline/story: "Reporter says Clinton camp denying him access to
events * a reporter for DailyMail.com, a website affiliated with the Daily Mail
in London, said the Clinton camp said his newspaper wasn’t part of the official
group -- known as the print pool -- that covers the White House on a rotating
basis. As a result, he was blocked Monday from covering her events in person for
the pool." -- Because "his newspaper wasn’t part of the official group...that
covers the White House "? Hmmm... mighty presumptive.. seems Hillewinsky is
counting her chickens a tad bit early.
---
Online story: "The Internal Revenue Service may have found 6,400 emails
from Lois Lerner, who oversaw the tax agency’s Exempt Organizations Unit, but
the government agency has no plans to share. * Attorneys from the Department of
Justice representing the IRS say the emails won’t be shared because the service
is making sure that none of them are duplicates." -- Because the DOJ wants to
make sure "none of them are duplicates"? Good grief.. does that really
matter?
---
Online story: "Keeping loaded guns out of airports is the goal of a bill
announced Monday by Georgia Congressman Hank Johnson." -- Hmmm.. guess ole Hank
doesn't want the Atlanta airport to be in jeopardy of "tipping over" if too much
equipment is gathered in one place...?
---
L-E story: " (MCSD) Board newcomers John Thomas of District 2 and Frank
Myers of District 8 cast the opposing votes. Thomas, an IRS agent, insisted this
past month that the various ways the administration presented the budget to the
board continued to fall short of the line-item format he requested. As board
members arrived for Monday night’s meeting, the district’s chief financial
officer Theresa Thornton delivered printed copies of a 72-page, spiral-bound
collection of documents, including line items, plus a five-page summary. That
detail wasn’t available to the public on the electronic agenda, but Thornton
gave the Ledger-Enquirer a copy after the meeting. “This is the detail I’ve been
looking for all along,” Thomas said. * He asked why it wasn’t presented that way
to the board last month. Thornton explained the district’s financial software
system didn’t allow it, but her staff worked for hours to put it in the current
format." -- "the district's software system didn't allow it"? Sound more like
the IT department has been using an abacus rather than accounting software! If
there is a problem with the "software" it's the "soft ware" between the ears of
the IT Department staff! Even basic spreadsheet programs do the basic reports
this would require.

From the above story: " Five years ago, the Georgia Legislature passed a
state law that in part requires public school districts to choose for the first
time one of three options for governance. The deadline is June 30. * Monday
night, the school board unanimously approved Superintendent David Lewis’
recommendation to send the state DOE a letter of intent to become an IE2
district while still exploring the Charter option. * (Option IE2): "An IE2
district has a performance contract with the Georgia Board of Education granting
the district freedom from specific provisions of state education law, state
board rules and state education department guidelines in exchange for increased
accountability." -- Wouldn't a voluntary forensic audit achieved better
accountability?

I have a suggestion.. After hearing the route of the new "trail" to be
built for bikers/runners/walkers , it might be prudent for the CPD to post a
daily-updated crime map at both ends of the trail.. also for the existing one
built over the old train tracks..

Yesterday, we were in Athens visiting our daughter.. Athens still has
parking meters ... Took a picture of the one we used at the restaurant
(Marti's... wonderful!) where we lunched. I'm at still wondering who the Athen's
Parking service was targeting as "meter users".. the sign said "Fines - $10.00
for an Expired Meter, but added that if you parked longer than the allotted
time, you had to pay $15.00... Guess you have to be a "Dawg" to know the
difference..
