Online story: "NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- Albert Woodfox, the last of three high-profile Louisiana prisoners known as the "Angola Three," could walk free within days after a federal judge ordered state officials to release him immediately. * Woodfox, 68-year-old former Black Panther Party prison leader, was accused, along with three other prisoners, in the stabbing death of Brent Miller, a 23-year-old guard * Amnesty International and the United Nations have condemned Woodfox's imprisonment as inhumane. Human rights advocates contend solitary confinement of the kind suffered by Woodfox is a form of torture. * Jasmine Heiss, a senior campaigner with Amnesty International USA, called Brady's ruling "a momentous step toward justice." -- "was accused"? He was CONVICTED... TWICE...While there is an appeal promised to "stay" the federal judges ruling, but the LA Attorney General should also try to have the order amended.. he should get the judge to order Jasmine Heiss to be Woodfox's caretaker for the rest of his..and/or, her life. UPDATE: Woodfox's rerlease has been "stayed" until 1:00 PM on Friday.

From the "say what" department - From an online article about diabetes: "Limit 100-percent fruit juice to one 4-ounce serving a day. Or instead of fruit juice, consider tomato or vegetable juice." -- "Instead of fruit juice, consider tomato...juice"? Wait a minute.. tomatoes ARE fruits, so wouldn't tomato juice be a fruit juice?
---
Just watching the hoard of correctional and police officers involved in the search for the two murderers who escaped from the CLINTON Correctional Facility (doesn't that sound like an oxymoron?) and thinking.. wouldn't one helicopter scanning the woods with a thermal scanner be more effective in finding people in a forest?
---
Looks like the TSA must have gotten it's training manuals from the IRS.. seems the TSA, like the IRS, is more efficient at harassing everyday citizens than catching criminals.
---
There was a bomb threat and evacuation at the White House. The security staff should be terminated immediately just for the possibility of a bomb being possibly brought in.
---
Of course, the bomb threat at the White House could have been simply a misunderstanding.. some staffer may have casually suggested that Obamageddon's administration had "bombed" on foreign and domestic policies..
---
Random thought: wonder if Nike is going to put tape on Tiger Woods' clubs to cover up the Swoop?
---
Chelsea Clinton gets hundreds of thousands of dollars in fees for giving a speech about diarrhea (Ms. Clinton’s speeches focus on causes like eradicating waterborne diseases. (“I’m obsessed with diarrhea” is a favorite line.).. Well, being raised by Slick Willie and Hillewinsky, at least no one can say she wasn't knowledgeable on the subject.
---
Obamageddon is upset that the Supreme Court is hearing a challenge to OObamaCRAP..What he ought to be upset about is the way he got it passed without bi-partisan input or support or being read.
---
I have to laugh when Obamageddon says he doesn't have a backup plan for OObamaCRAP being unraveled by the Supreme Court...this IS his plan!
---
Dennis Hastert is under the microscope..rightfully so..but it makes you wonder why "mainscream media" ignored Bill Clinton's special friendship with Jerry Epstein..notorious pedophile and owner of "orgy island".
---
"Chiraq" ... Spike Lee's new movie about street gang violence in Chi-town us getting rebuked by Democrats throughout Illinois.. Guess Washington will join in on the protest when the sequel hits the market..rumor has it the working title is "Chiraq Obama".
---
You know what Obamageddon's biggest image problem is...he has a great golfer's tan.
---
With additional horror stories coming out about TSA failures, has the TSA leadership forgotten why it was created?
---
From the "let's not forget this" department - Online story: "A little-known private foundation controlled by Bill and Hillary Clinton donated $100,000 to the New York Times’ charitable fund in 2008, the same year the newspaper’s editorial page endorsed Clinton in the Democratic presidential primary, according to tax documents reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon. * The Clinton Family Foundation, a separate entity from the Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation, has been the family’s vehicle for personal charitable giving since 2001" -- You know.. the IRS should be scrutinizing this particular donation based on the political nature of the donation alone, but the FEC should be taking a very special interest in all of her and her foundations donations and redistributions.

A Boston Funeral Home has refused to handle the service of a Muslim terrorist.. Thank goodness he wasn't gay or there's be lawyers lined up to Connecticut ...
---
A tidbit found while browsing.... By the time an American child reaches the age of 18, that child will have seen approximately 40,000 murders on television? - Of course, with the local news coverage of South Chicago, the number has skewed the average for the rest of the country.
---
L-E headline: "DOWNTOWN STAKEHOLDERS * Closing 1000 block of Broadway to traffic on weekends draws discussion * Move to creating a safer festival zone would have to be OK’d by council" -- Good grief.. if the merchants and residents want a safer Broadway, then ban alcohol sales from Friday-Sunday so it will become family friendly!
---
With the huge split at First Presbyterian Church downtown.. I'm thinking the old YMCA will be back in the market place at sometime..
---
L-E story: "Columbus Council cut funding for a third deputy marshal from Marshal Greg Countryman’s fiscal 2016 budget on Tuesday to fund a new position in the city’s Information Technology department. * The decision came after IT Director Forrest Tolle made a plea for a network engineer, which he said would save the city hundreds of thousands of dollars over time, and after council was informed of some spending habits within the Marshal’s Office. * Tomlinson told council that Countryman has been keeping deputy positions open and transferring money for those salaries to other line items. For example, Countryman spent about $2,850 on a zero-turn radius lawnmower for use at the office’s firing range, along with about $4,440 for a 12-by-24-foot storage building at the range and almost $7,000 for a camera surveillance system for the range, Tomlin-son said. All that money was transferred from the salaries line item into operating funds. * Tomlinson also showed council pages of travel conference expenditures covering fiscal 2013 and 2014, which showed that the Marshal’s Office spent $32,789 and $23,256, respectively, on travel-related expenses. Most of that money was transferred from his salary line item, made possible by holding one or two positions open at any given time, Tomlin-son said." -- Looks like Mayor TomLYINGson has come up with some valid points for a change, but she should also be scrutinized for sending Public Safety money to fund the Junior Marshals program that has blossomed from the Countryman-Vivian/Sanford Bishop umbilical cord connection.
---
A "get's it" L-E "soundoff": "Charity is not something you legislate. It can only come from your own pocket." -- Hmmm, you can bet this will never be posted on the wall in a Democratic Party politician's office... especially Sanford Bishop's or Mayor TomLYINGson's.
---
Another "get's it" L-E "soundoff": "The new trail from Torch Hill Road to Cusseta Road should be named “Run for your life.” -- Hmmm... A "Pick of the Day" L-E "soundoff" that wasn't chosen as such.
---
L-E headline/story: "Possible lightning strike destroys Green Island Hills home * ight units with 24 firefighters battled the blaze for about 45 minutes before the fire was under control, said Battalion Chief Donnie Jones. By that time, flames had gutted the 4,600-square-foot structure valued at $1 million." -- Hmmm.. $1,000,000.00 value... then how come the Tax Assessor only values it at $636.000.00. Mayor TomLYINGson blames the "tax freeze" for revenue shortages, but this non-homestead exemption home, and the recent sale of some undeveloped property on Double Churches Road for nearly 10 times the value that the Tax Assessor's office carries it shows that many dollars are lost needlessly by not having properties evaluated properly.

From the "Walt Disney is rolling over in his grave" department - L-E story: "Walt Disney Co.’s ABC Family network has just debuted its first reality show starring a transgender person, gaining visibility from the widely publicized photos this week of transitioning TV dad Caitlyn Jenner. * “Becoming Us,” which started airing Monday, is an unscripted look at life for Ben Lehwald, an Evanston, Ill., teen whose father, Charlie, is becoming a woman named Carly. In a preview clip, family members wince at a photo of gender reassignment surgery and Ben meets the parents of his girlfriend, Danielle, whose father is also transitioning." -- "Becoming Us"? The only thing I'm becoming is a former ABC/Disney/Disney World fan... just from a demographics aspect.. how many situations like this will ever happen? Hmmm... maybe this is just payback for Pat Robertson selling "The Family Channel to ABC/Disney...
