HuffPOOPOO headline: "Obama presses for gun control" -- Hmmm... and law abiding gun owners press for Obamageddon control...
---
The recent.. I guess we can still call it "recent" even though it happened 2 weeks ago... escape by two murderers in New York, plus the Obamageddon led attempt to restore diplomatic and trade relations with Cuba, have refreshed the fact that in 1979 Cuba gave asylum to ASSata Olugbala Shakur, f.k.a, Joanne Deborah Byron Chesimard, a cop killing member of the Black Panthers and Black Liberation Army, and terrorist bombmaker Guillermo Morales, Morales was associated with the FALN, a Puerto Rican separatist group long linked to a deadly 1975 explosion at the landmark Fraunces Tavern in lower Manhattan where 4 were killed and more than 50 injured. Congress, which has the last say so in restoring trade rights, should demand that those two be handed over to the US by Cuban officials before any other negotiations are considered.

HuffPOOPOO headline: "Why Trump's 2016 Run Could Be 'Terrible' For Republicans" -- Hmmm... maybe we should look closer at Trump.. when the HuffPOOPOO does an assassination piece on a candidate, you can bet the HuffPOOPOO fears someone winning. In fact, a HuffPOOPOO commentator claims that Trump's "combover" is embarrassing... "embarrassing"?... no, what's embarrassing is that mainscream media would pick Trump's "combover" as a focal point versus his ability to create wealth and jobs.

Random thought: With annual budgets over a quarter of a BILLION dollars for years and SPLOSTs that have added about 3/4's of a BILLION in additional revenues this century, why is the MCSD accounting/budget software so inadequate? Or is it... perhaps it's a personnel problem or intentionally crippled by the MCSD administration. No private business would get away with its CFO presenting an outline budget to its Board of Directors.
---
Whew... the Stanley Cup made it through the Chicago parade without being shot like during the 2013 victory parade. What happened.. did the parade route change.. or.. perhaps the thugs that shot in 11 times in 2013 have become part of the death statistics since then.

HuffPOOPOO headline/story: "Bernie Sanders Wants To Bring Back Your 40-Hour Workweek * "A hundred years ago workers took to the streets" to fight for 40 hours, Sanders told The Huffington Post." -- Hmmm.. well, 100 years ago, people were working 60-70 hours a week (and no overtime pay) to keep their jobs, and wanted more family/personal time. Now the people who vote for Democrats want $15.00 per hour so they can work only 20 and still get what they are getting now..
---
Hmmm.. what will mainscream media call Sanders now that he's on record for everyone working a 40 hour work week...a Republican?

Online story: "Confidence in police in the United States has dropped to the lowest level in more than two decades, with just 52 percent of Americans expressing "a great deal" or "quite a lot" of confidence, according to a Gallup poll released on Friday * Since 1993, American confidence in police has ranged from the low of 52 percent to a high of 64 percent in 2004, the Gallup poll found. * The annual poll on confidence in U.S. institutions was taken earlier this month with a random sample of 1,527 adults aged 18 and older living in all 50 U.S. states and Washington, D.C. The poll had a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points." -- " a random sample of 1,527 adults aged 18 and older living in all 50 U.S. states and Washington, D.C."? Random... my arse..any poll about "confidence in police" not restricted to American taxpaying citizens earning their own way is bogus...
---
From above article: "Gallup said that African-American confidence in police has averaged 30 percent over the last two years, well below the national average of 53 percent, and much lower than any other subgroup." --Well.. it's happened.. Gallup considers African-Americans a subgroup.. talk about racial profiling and labeling..
---
Random thought on the above: If I polled my friends, I imagine 90% would have unshaken confidence in our law enforcement officers.. I would go higher but I do have a number of defense attorneys among my friends...
---
From the "now we understand the Gallup Poll "random" claim" department - Online story: "On Thursday, 2016 Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton blamed the Charleston, South Carolina church shootings by racist Dylann Roof on the rhetoric of 2016 Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.
* Speaking with host John R(_*_)lston, she explained, “Public discourse is sometimes hotter and more negative than it should be, which can, in my opinion, trigger someone who is less than stable.” She continued, “I think we have to speak out against it. Like, for example, a recent entry into the Republican presidential campaign said some very inflammatory things about Mexicans. Everybody should stand up and say that’s not acceptable.” -- Hmmm.. typical Hillewinsky logic.. if victims are not dried up old women running for president, they are all Mexican immigrants... wonder how she saw Ambassador Chris Stevens in Benghazi since he was a 'dried up old woman running for president"?

Online headline: "White House to call for dramatic cut in emissions" -- How about starting with the emissions coming out of the White House Press Room announcements...
---
Online headline/story: "Obama makes 'Freudian slip' about life in the White House * The president was speaking about federal prisoners at a Hollywood fundraiser hosted by actor-producer Tyler Perry on Thursday night that left many thinking he feels like a prisoner in the White House. * "We should be reforming our criminal justice system in such a way that we are not incarcerating non-violent offenders in ways that renders them incapable of getting a job after they leave office," he said. * Obama isn't the first president to compare his office to prison. Back in 1993, then-president Bill Clinton called the White House the "the crown jewel of the federal penal system." -- Could it be as simple as two liars feeling guilty?
---
Instant repeat - Online story: " Obama isn't the first president to compare his office to prison. Back in 1993, then-president Bill Clinton called the White House the "the crown jewel of the federal penal system." -- Hmmm.. Clinton seems to claim all the "firsts" Obamageddon wants credit for.. including being the "first black president"..
---
Online story: "MODESTO -- A Modesto woman won $5 million after she stopped into a CVS to use the restroom. * "I walked into the CVS, used the restroom and on my way out I saw the Lottery machine," Daniel said, in a release published by the California Lottery. * Daniel says she put $20 into the machine, scanned her ticket and saw what she won." -- Good grief.. leaving a bathroom and she happened to put $20.00 in a slot to get a lottery ticket? That's an addiction! Of course, to an addict, what's the difference in putting $20.00 in a lottery ticket after leaving a bathroom where you just flushed your "deposit" down a toilet.

Online headline/story: "Watermelon' snow in Sierra Nevada * People in eastern California are wondering why their snow-capped mountains are suddenly pink! * High in the sierra Nevada mountain range exists an odd phenomena it's called "watermelon snow" not just because it looks like the fruit it actually smells like it, too. * However, that's where the similarities end. Turns out, the pink stuff is algae." ooops. my bad.. thought maybe it was a Gay Pride Skiing Event..Ooops.. it will be next year..

Chambers Bay time.. day two:
1 - Rumor has it that the golf pros are already booking future tee times at Seattle Putt-Putts for practice rounds in case the USGA rebooks Chambers Bay.
2 - Jordan Spieth got nailed complaining about #18's layout today..seems he was too close to a camera microphone. I'm gonna bet that the rest of the golfers take up a collection to pay the fine that's sure to be coming.
3 - I remember early days of the Columbus Steeplechase at Callaway. Had boxes at "Top o' the Turn".. There was a fixed hurdle in front of us that the horses had to maneuver late in the race on top of a high point on the track. Three horses broke legs that day as all of us protested loudly about that hurdle placement. After the third horse was put down, officials " heard us' and removed the hurdle. Chambers Bay is like that hurdle. Take it down, USGA!
4 - Between ever present slow moving freight trains, blimps, and announcers of every unrelated diversity possible, Chambers Bay ought to rename itself TheBarnum & Bailey & Bungling Brothers Circus.
---
Random thought: "Those obnoxious ads on TV ...you know..the ones that announce to all in the room that if you have "one" that lasts for 4 hours or more, please call your doctor..yeah..if I have one of "those" I' m calling Guinness.

We mourn equally with the Charleston, SC church and family members . We want all these senseless and heinous crimes to stop...but...BUT no new gun laws, not even the existing ones on the books would have stopped the (_*_) from his dastard deed. What will, however, is strict enforcement of death penalties. Make a uniform law that gives a maximum delay of two years from sentencing for executions to take place.
---
After reading about no-bid contracts being in the MCSD budget, perhaps a forensic audit of such companies is in order to make sure no board members or school employees are partners/beneficiaries of those contractors.

Chicago's star pitcher.. Chris Sale wears jersey number 49... I think he should wear number 4.. (don't make me spell this out for you).

From a fellow BCer:
Here are six Conundrums in the United States of America:
1. America is capitalist and greedy — yet half of the population is subsidized.
2. Half of the population is subsidized — yet they think they are victims.
3. They think they are victims — yet their representatives run the government.

4. Their representatives run the government — yet the poor keep getting poorer.
5. The poor keep getting poorer — yet they have things that people in other countries only dream about.
6. They have things that people in other countries only dream about — yet they want America to be more like those other countries.
They are also the campaign strategy of the Democratic Party.

A "truly get's it" L-E "soundoff": " You’re right — other people’s personal and sex lives are none of my business. Which is why my business shouldn’t be forced to condone it or pay for it." -- Amen!
---
Jonathan Gruber triple extra stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": "Only DNA analysis can prove someone has zero black ancestry. The Spokane NAACP president could have a great-great-grandparent who was black, making her 1/16th black." -- Hmmm.. I can imagine what her 4 generations removed Germanic/Scandinavian ancestors DNA would look like...

L-E story: "A retired judge has released a dashboard camera video from a Chicago Police car that shows a white officer repeatedly firing his handgun into a car full of black youths who had been pulled over for speeding and posed no apparent threat. * Berman said he felt obligated to make the video public and gave it to The Chicago Reporter magazine, which first reported on it Thursday. The retired judge told The Associated Press “it just showed a reckless and callous disregard for human life by somebody who is sworn to serve and protect.” * “No one knows for sure, but my strong gut feeling is that these shots never would have been fired if the kids in the car were white,” Berman said." --
Three things:
1 - "it just showed a reckless and callous disregard for human life by somebody who is sworn to serve and protect"? -- It also shows the fear of police officers everywhere about the disrespect they get in routine situations.
2 - " my strong gut feeling is that these shots never would have been fired if the kids in the car were white"? -- This judge would have upheld the prosecution's "objection" had a witness volunteered this opinion under oath.
3 - How did a "retired" judge have access to release this video?

L-E headline: "Relatives face accused killer in court" -- Improved headline: "Relatives get hands on accused killer in court"
---
From L-E commentary by District Court Judge, the honorable Clay D Land: "Eight hundred years ago this month, in June 1215, a meeting occurred at the English meadow of Runnymede between rebellious Englishmen, who had grown weary of the arbitrary rule of the Crown, and an all-powerful king, who wisely decided he must listen to his subjects’ grievances to avoid a civil war. * If those reeds along the River Thames could speak, they’d tell the tale of the meeting at the meadow between the Englishmen and the king. Those reeds would recall a victory for the rule of law when King John affixed his seal to a document called the “Charter of Liberties,” which became known as Magna Carta (“Great Charter”). Magna Carta came to symbolize that no person, no matter how powerful, is above the law and that all sovereigns must recognize and respect the individual rights of the people." -- "no person, no matter how powerful, is above the law and that all sovereigns must recognize and respect the individual rights of the people."? Thank goodness King John was not a visionary and could see how Obamageddon disregards this premise, or King John would never have signed the Magna Carta.
---
L-E story: "Despite not having played in the NFL since 1997, (Herschel) Walker claims that he can still run a blistering 4.3 40-yard dash. * Since his playing days, Walker has found a new passion: mixed martial arts." -- Whoa! Bet he could throw a mean "straight arm" at anybody trying to tackle him...
