Soapbox Moment: Yesterday, I was driving on the still-in-"progress"-Whittlesey-Road- project and noticed something that looked "just wrong".. The workers are finishing up a sidewalk that runs alongside the road. I thought... "wait a minute".. why is the sidewalk being finished before the road? On top of that, why is this crew, a crew that is 6 months late and a MILLION dollars over budget working on a sidewalk instead of finishing the road work? The I thought again.. why is a sidewalk part of the GA DOT contract?" Good grief.. our own City employees could put in a sidewalk once the road is finished, and knowing that the GA DOT builds Queen TT Lounge bathrooms for nearly $250,000.00 dollars, I wonder how much over reality does the GA DOT consider a sidewalk is worth.

The Governor of Maryland. a Republican who was in office foronly 4 months when Baltimore imploded is now being blamed for what happened..Good grief...Baltimore has been under Dem. Elijah Cummings..for..forever, was under current Den presidential candidate McCarthy for 8 years as Mayor & 8 years as Governor, and is currently under under Democrat control..how can any responsible journalist find Republican blame ?

Update on the St Elmo School classroom A/C problem... I reported about 2 months ago about a classroom A/C going out and the stream of promises made to fix it that were then broken.. I guess a squeaky wheel does get even the MCSD's attention.. instead of August finally being the "fix date" as previously reported, said A/C has been repaired as of yesterday...after 2 and one-half plus months... the kids really were first on the MCSD priority list.... NOT!

Good grief... after the first Ranger class with women entrants was finished and none of the women qualified to attain the "Ranger" status.. there has been talk.. or suggestions... to lower some of the standards... HUH? The Ranger, and Navy SEAL, standards are in place to celebrate EXCELLENCE, not DIVERSITY, and IMHO, I do not think that any of the women who made this historic effort would ever be pleased to get a "Ranger/SEAL" badge with an asterisk assigned to it.

Online headline: "Former US President George W Bush is now more popular than his successor Barack Obama, according to a CNN/ORC poll released today." -- Hmmmm... this is historic.. not that the people like Bush43 better than Obamageddon, but that CNN actually reported the truth about it.
---
Good grief... Pbamageddon.. the president who read about Benghazi in the newspaper after the fact now has time to "twitter".. and twitter with Brucey Jenner.. Obamageddon responded to Jenner's "tweet" about his "long struggle to be living my true self" with this: "It takes courage to share your story.".... Hmmm.. well, Obamageddon.. how about YOU being "courageous" and share YOUR STORY about your college years and travel papers. I guess Obamageddon is taking a page out of the Clinton playbook, and defining "courage" in his own manner.

From a fellow BCer... if you had to depend on "mainscream" media, you wouldn't know what's going on...this is a "must watch".. takes less than 5 minutes but will have you popping shirt buttons: https://www.youtube.com/embed/0dFIZX_RXuU

Online headline: "Chinese hackers suspected in govt security breach" -- Oooops, my bad.. thought Hillewinsky's e-mails had been recovered from one of her donors.

Online headline/story: "These Jeopardy Contestants Couldn’t Name the Attorney General * The $600 question even came with a visual clue—an image of America’s newly minted “top cop” was flashed across the screen as host Alex Trebek asked the three contestants to identify her." -- Hmmm.. probably looked like a trick answer.. Seeing "top cop" made the contestants hesitate because a "top cop" should be upholding current laws, not dictating laws of her own.
---
Online headline: "Prosecutor seeks to block release of Gray's autopsy * Baltimore State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby plans to get a protective order that would keep the official report on Freddie Gray's death from the public." -- Good grief.. what part of the prosecution concealing evidence is a part of the American justice system? Especially after she has convicted the police officers via the "mainscream" media from day one.

Online story: "The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and group of automakers and industry suppliers are trying to engineer drunk driving out of existence. * The coalition on Thursday updated the development of the Driver Alcohol Detection System for Safety (DADSS) it’s been working on since 2008. The goal is to create a passive, factory installed system that can determine if the person sitting in the driver’s seat is intoxicated without requiring them to breathe into an interlock device, like the ones mandated for DUI offenders in several states. * The project has focused on two technologies that are currently being refined to zero in on the driver and isolate them from any passengers that have consumed alcohol. * The first collects air and directs it to an infrared sensor or series of sensors located throughout the cabin that can analyze the ratio of carbon dioxide an alcohol. By positioning them in strategic locations researchers believe it could be designed to accurately isolate the driver’s breath from that of any passengers in the car." -- "could be designed to accurately isolate the driver’s breath from that of any passengers in the car"? Gimmee a break.. even an alcohol free designated driver can't contain the exuberance of a car full of party goers from laughing and belching and infusing the whole car cabin with alcohol in the air.. Want to stop drunk driving? Irrevocably confiscate the car, whether it's theirss or someone else's whenever an arrest is made until the court hearing, and permanently upon conviction.

Promise.. well, gonna try, that this is the last Jenner comment I'm going to make..You know.. after all the years that Jenner was basically a 5th-wheel for the Kar-flashians, wonder how his wife like living in the publicity shadows of "him"?

Online headline: "Calif. lawmakers advance right-to-die legislation" -- Ooops, my bad.. thought for a second legislators were withdrawing the protected status of smelt and snail darters so dams could be opened up to bring water to the people..
---
L-E headline: "Log truck crashes on J.R. Allen Parkway, backs up traffic across town heading into Alabama" -- Oooooooh.. can't wait for the River Road/Bradley Park "roundabout" opens and all those logging trucks attempt all those 180 & 270 turns on an unbanked roadway..
---
L-E headline: "Ex-FIFA official threatens to spill ‘avalanche’ of secrets" -- Sepp Blatter is gone.. who cares about any of this, anyway?
