The New York Times has declared Marco Rubio is not "Rich Enough" to be president...hmmm it didn't seem a good reason for not supporting Obamageddon who basically had a RICO mobster co-signing for his mortgage..
---
Clinton Correctional Facility New York...what an ironic oxymoron... how can you correct a Clinton?
----
Good grief...Hillewinsky is having a "redo" of her presidential availability campaign. Seems the road trip to Iowa had a flat tire.
---
The U of California System has banned professors from using the phrase, "America, the land of opportunity" because it's "racist, sexist, and microaggression".....it has also banned using questions like "where are you from?" for the same reason" -- Good grief.. (what I am thinking is not appropriate for a family column)

Remember the adage... "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned"? Seems Baltimore's State Attorney Marilyn J. Mosby's scorn for the police has brought hell onto the streets of Baltimore. This link shows graphically what neutering the authority and respect of the police department does to crime..

Online headline/story: "The Los Angeles Unified School District Board LOWERS STANDARDS TO LET 22,000 FAILING STUDENTS GRADUATE, SOME AS OLD AS 22 * the Los Angeles Unified School District Board has decided it is better to let failing students graduate with D grades rather than deny them a diploma because of their poor grades in college prep classes." -- How does this make the students better prepared for life? A "D" ranges from a 60 to 69 average which is already failing in my book, but to extend the range from "showing up for roll call" is horrible..

While lenient charges are being made against the prison sewing shop worker, it appears this is a scape-goat ploy.. no major charges have been filed and one woman getting all the blame.. Wait a minute.. even if she smuggled in power tools to the sewing room, the killers still had to smuggle those tools back into the cell block and their cells.. who let them do this? I mean.. a power tool that would allow them to cut their way out of cells, through steel bars and metal piping is not a "Popeil's Pocket Saw". Sounds like the sewing woman is "taking one for the union".
---
Just to be "the Devil's Advocate" for a second.. could the escape path route have been opened up from the end of the escape back to the cells before the actually escape? Makes more sense. That "cut" in the (looks like quarter inch) steel pipe was awfully neat and straight to have been made in a hurry in the darkness of the pipe itself. Guess metal filings location will determine this....

Online story: "Federal agencies pledged another $110 million in aid Friday to help states struggling with the crippling drought after President Barack Obama talked to leaders from seven western states." -- Hmmm.. this is on top of the previous $190 Million already pledged (no mention as to whether it's been distributed). Now.. if you were responding to a "drought". what's the first thing you'd think of to help? Me.. water.. but not the feds.. that 110 Million includes money for lobs programs ($18M), farmer protection ($30M), cleaning up landscapes in fire prone areas ($10M), grants (grants = no payback) for water management improvement projects ($6.5M), and drought-related needs of water utilities and households ($7M). Did you add those figures up? How about $81.5M.. what is happening to the other $29.5M?

Online headline: "Trade bill blocked, Democrats revolt against Obama" -- Looks like a pattern developing here.. Democrats revolt .. against America.. and Democrats are... revolting....

Online story: " suburban Philadelphia county was victim to an embarrassing misspelling on signage posted around the local community: the word "commissioners" with only one "m" on 26 signs. * Montgomery County officials say it will take about 10 days and $4,000 to correct the error with adhesive labels. * The 6-foot-tall signs bear the county's website and the names of the three county commissioners. They were posted in parks, along the county trail system and in front of the courthouse several months ago. * The signs replaced out of date and mismatched signs around the county. * A county employee noticed the error and reported it to officials." -- Good grief.. why were 6' signs being placed intentionally in parks and on the county trail system? Even if spelled correctly, 6' signs are an eyesore intrusion for "a walk in the park". One thing for sure.. they were Democrats, and I guess were use to doing things the Pelosi way.. not reading them until they were posted...

Online headline: "Chronic condition Favre deals with * The quarterback may have been tough on the field -- but off, he suffers from a tough affliction. * What Bill Clinton and Ashlee Simpson also have" -- Ooops, my bad.. thought Favre and Simpson owned up to having sexual addictions, too.
---
L-E story: "At least 10 people were arrested this week during a two-night operation focusing on Sex Offender Compliance and suspects wanted on felony violations, Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office said in a release. * “These teams spent hours in the neighborhoods and rural parts of our county in order to make this operation a success and in order to make our community safer,” the sheriff said." -- Maybe this is why Mayor TomLYINGson wants to cut back the Sheriff's Department budget... so there aren't enough deputies to handle the follow through on case management..
---
L-E headline: "Food trucks make debut on Phenix City riverfront" -- Hey Mayor TomLYINGson... no sales taxes nor fees into Columbus' coffers.. Whitewater is really paying off for us.... NOT! Maybe you could post a sign charging Phenix City residents to pay a "dumping fee" to use the "Queen TT Lounge" after they eat..

Jonathan Gruber triple-double extra stupid (squared) LIV's L-E "soundoff": " A frequent letter writer complained of MCSD and CCG leaders raiding fund balances their predecessors built up. They have no choice. Revenues aren’t keeping up with inflation. You can thank the tax freeze for that." -- Good grief.. Mayor TomLYINGson must only be serving Kool-Aid to her staff...Dipping into the fund balance for frivolous needs is like raiding your child's piggy bank to buy yourself an extra "Twinkie", and one day, all the "Twinkie" money is gone, and there's no money in your child's piggy bank and she has no "Twinkies".
---
Another Gruber triple-double extra stupid (squared) LIV's L-E "soundoff": " After years of war, trillions of dollars and failed diplomacy, the Middle East turmoil is worse today than it was a decade ago." -- Hmm.. intyeresting.. on in knowing this is definitely a lib with no comprehension of facts.. In the entire course of America's military, since 1776, $7 Trillion dollars have been spent on earning and protecting our freedoms.. On the other hand, since LBJ started the "War on Poverty", $22 TRILLION has been spent on entitlement programs (Heritage Foundation findings for both statistics). For $7 Trillion,. we are still free.. but after $22 Trillion, the War on Poverty has yet to win even a skirmish...
---
Even another Gruber triple-double extra stupid (squared) LIV's L-E "soundoff": "If you had taken the time you would have learned that Mitt Romney’s health plan in Massachusetts and Obama’s are exactly the same. And it’s the exactly the same one Ronald Reagan proposed years ago." -- One.. Romney's plan in Massachusetts was read by even Democrats and didn't have wrongful federal subsidies.. and I can't say I remember anything like this proposed by Reagan, but... BUT, if Reagan had done so, it was Democrats who voted it down. Reagan did say that, “It isn't so much that liberals are ignorant. It's just that they know so many things that aren't so.”

L-E story: "WASHINGTON — Union members broke into cheers when Hillary Rodham Clinton said she supported their efforts to create a $15-an-hour national minimum wage. * “Thank you for giving me this chance to tell you all how much I support your movement,” she told a conference organized by the Service Employees International Union. “I want to fight with you every day.” * Clinton’s words last weekend weren’t quite the endorsement they may have seemed. * The next day, her campaign clarified her remarks, saying while Clinton supported the general push for higher wages, she wasn’t backing the more contentious $15 hourly minimum." -- Good grief.. now she can say she was for it before she was against it... again.. Flip-flops are her way of sitting on the fence, but flopping before she's completed her flip is a new record low..
---
L-E story: "A former Texas prosecutor has been stripped of his law license after a panel of the State Bar of Texas determined he withheld evidence and used false testimony to win a capital murder conviction against a now-exonerated death row inmate." -- Fair enough... now, let's apply the same standard for defense attorneys and maybe the scales will balance again.
---
Did you see the MCSD Budget Outline ad in the L-E today.. did you note the additional $5,000,000.00 dip into the "Fund Balance" drawing it further down to $29,000,000.00? Schools are basically funded for 200 days a year for the most part for teachers/students.. that makes the daily need of about $1.3 Million.. a 30 day balance fund would be almost $40,000,000.00..and that's the tipping point determining whether or not the bonds the MCSD issues get the best interest tier for the taxpayers. Demand better money management.. starting with a complete forensic audit!
---
L-E's "Quotable": “We have, I fear, confused power with greatness.” Stewart Udall American political leader (former Democrat Senator) (1920- ) -- Hmmm this must have been his response ate the end of the first "Re-elect Obamageddon" campaign meeting...
---
L-E commentary by John Tures.. associate professor at Lagrange College: "William T. Sherman in the field was a disaster. He allowed the Union army at Shiloh to be completely surprised by Johnston’s attack, leading the Northern army to come within an eyelash of being completely smashed, even as junior officers had begged him to take precautions days earlier. * Take your damn regiment back to Ohio,” he chastised a prudent inferior officer. “There is no Confederate army closer than Corinth.” Thousands of Union soldiers paid the price with their lives that day, and the next, just trying to retake the land Sherman gave up with his foolishness." -- "Take your damn regiment back to Ohio,” he chastised a prudent inferior officer. “There is no Confederate army closer than Corinth.”? -- Hmmm.. could Shiloh and Sherman be the Civil War equivalences of Benghazi and Hillewinsky? Has anyone done a genealogical search on their connections?
