From the "we're not in California anymore, Todo" department - Online story: "California on Tuesday agreed to end its unlimited isolation of imprisoned gang leaders * No other state keeps so many inmates segregated for so long, according to the Center for Constitutional Rights. The New York City-based nonprofit center represents inmates in a class-action federal lawsuit settled Tuesday on behalf of nearly 3,000 inmates held in segregation statewide. * The state is agreeing to segregate only inmates who commit new crimes behind bars and will no longer lock gang members in soundproofed, windowless cells solely to keep them from directing illegal activities by gang members." -- Good grief..when did prisoners convicted of violent and excessive crimes get the Constitutional rights of law abiding citizens while incarcerated? There's a much simpler and more just solution available.. restoration of guaranteed death sentences to be carried out with 2 tears of sentencing for repeat or multiple violent crimes.

Online story: " CNN on Tuesday amended its criteria for the next Republican presidential debate, giving former technology executive Carly Fiorina a better chance at appearing in the Sept. 16 primetime affair." --
Excuse me, but why are there TV debates going on now when the presidential election,.. even the PRIMARIES aren't until next year? Besides, why would politicians even want to be over-exposed now when mainscream media has nothing to do but dig up dirt, and pit candidates against each other? Oh, besides, again.. why would Republican candidate even want to be on CNN... nobody who will vote for them will be watching.

Online headline /story: "Uber drivers granted class action status in lawsuit over employment * Uber drivers are entitled to class action status in litigation over whether they are independent contractors or employees, a U.S. judge ruled on Tuesday, in a case that could have wide implications for the sharing economy." -- Good grief.. when will contract lawn and maid service companies demand employee status from homeowners they visit once a week/month? Really.. how can a judge assign employee status to someone who sets their own hours.. even their own days .. which they will work? Oh..  wanna bet the lawyers are standing at the gate to add illegal alien migrant contract workers?

---
Online story: "while campaigning in Miami on Tuesday, Bush said Trump only resorts to insults because he can't talk about issues." --  Good grief.. this is exactly why Trump is good for the country.. other Republican candidates need to concentrate on what their message is.. so the voters will get a better idea of what they have to offer. As it is now.. Trump doesn't need to do anything but show that he is a business success, that he loves his America, and he wants to use his talents to get America back on track.... and he doesn't care what other politicians think about him, and he's demonstrably more than capable to defend himself.

---
Donald Trump's popularity just got a world-wide boost..even the European Union citizens have abandoned their disdain for America's concern for illegal aliens. We better elect him before Europe offers him a better deal to come there.

Online headline: "Obama shares global warming views" -- Wow.. that must have ISIS shaking in it's sandals.

The latest murder rates in major cities has been released for 2015 compared to 2014 for the same period:

City                     2014 Murders       2015 Murders     % change
Milwaukee                59                        104                   76
St Louis                   85                         136                  60
Baltimore                 138                       215                  56
Washington               73                       105                   44
New Orleans              98                        120                   22
Chicago                     244                      294                   20

Of course, all of these cities have Democrat run governments, and the next election will not have any different results. Why isn't Al Sharlatan in any of these cities urging voters to change their blindfolded vote for Democrats?

HuffPOOPOO headline: "Bye, Miss Piggy! Meet Kermit's new girlfriend Denise * Miss Piggy and her longtime froggy boyfriend broke up earlier this year, but now it looks like Kermit has found a new ladylove." -- wait a minute... keep waiting... I haven't heard it yet, but I expect the "other shoe" to fall any  minute.. does Kermit really have a new "ladylove".. the new pig looks a lot like Caitlyn..

While the figures are still small, of note is that Americans giving up their citizenship to move to another country had a 14% increase in the past year..it's happening because of taxes.. and let me say, that the folks leaving are not folks getting income tax credits so their income tax refunds are trebled (or more). The top 3 countries of destination are Austria, Switzerland, and  )are t=you ready for this) New Zealand...

About 16 months ago, I had a long sit=down meeting with one of our City Councilors about the inherent danger of a proposed "Traffic Circle" that involves a state highway, 4 other local street egress/e=ingress points. One concern I had was the number of logging trucks that frequent the state highway that would have to slow down going down hill, make a semi circle detour  then swing back to the original state highway. Having recently read of a logging truck that tipped over its load making a turn with an elevation change that resulted in a "reverse bank turn" which caused a "load shift". I pointed out that the "Traffic Circle" design would put the same circumstances in for a lot more logging truck that use this stretch of highway.  The project was suppose to start a year ago (fortunately it hasn't ..yet), but yesterday, I got behind a logging truck turning off said highway onto the entry ramp to access a limited control highway. From a standstill, the driver turned left up the pretty severely sloped ramp, and as quickly as he could, built up speed going into a right swing part of the ramp to get up to speed to access the main highway at a decent speed. As the truck got into the middle of the curved route, centrifugal force brought the rear inside wheels off the ground.. the driver did eae of the fuel and the truck settled back down, but this circumstance on the proposed "Traffic Circle" will be more likely to send logs sprawling across the intersection. Local readers, please contact your Councilors and state House and Senate reps to look again at the folly of making a "Traffic Circle" on a state highway that caters to logging trucks.

Since they are finding even more classified emails in the latest batches of e-mail that Porkchop HILL says she determined to be unclassified, we really ought wonder, and demand to see the ones hat she hasn't released.

TV lawyers are pretty uniform in saying that the Kate Steinle family won't have a chance suing San Francisco et al over the release of the oft deported illegal alien who killed their daughter. They say the family will have to prove "gross negligence"... hmmm, how hard could that be?

---
The International Friendship of Christians and Jews wants us to call our Congressional representatives and ask them to support Israel. I think that organization could get more and better results if it focused on voters who elect Democrats, and the Democrat candidates.

NOW Obamageddon is concerned about Russian Imperialism..remember how in 2012 he got mainscream media to do a hatchet job on Romney when Romney said Russia should be our biggest concern ?

L-E story: " (Phenix City, AL) Finance Director Stephen Smith said raising the water and sewer rates will cost the average household $1.26 for a combined bill of $42.66. The cost is still 35 percent less than the next system in the area, Columbus. “Does that not demonstrate that we are operating efficiently and keeping the cost down?” he asked." -- in a word.. "NO"! .... but it does demonstrate that Columbus citizens are being either excessively gouged or paying for a very inefficiently run Water Works.

---
L-E story: "A Columbus teen wanted in a high-speed chase early Monday died after a Harris County deputy armed with a Taser stunned him, authorities said." -- You know, this ..and most confrontations with police officers, could have been completely avoided if the perpetrator/suspect just complied with the orders of the policeman. Anything challengeable can be done in court.

---
L-E editorial commentary: "Rebuilding pre-K - In other encouraging education news, Georgia IGov. Nathan Deal has proposed a funding boost for Georgia’s prekindergarten program, to reverse some of the hits the program has taken." -- Why is this necessary? Millions.. hundreds of millions of dollars have been thrown at this in the past and the system has failed.. why invest more good money into a failed system when there's no effort to change "the system"?

---

L-E headline: "'THE RAISING OF AMERICA' * Film focuses on early child development * About 100 people attend event at library" -- Hmmm... "about 100 people will attend"? Yeah.. anout 100 people with a personal agenda at how they can benefit themselves..
