At Georgia Tech freshmen will pay 102 percent more in Fall 2015 than in Fall 2008. On average across the system, tuition and mandatory fees increased an average of 74.6 percent from Fall 2008 to Fall 2015. Do you think the legislature should have the final say on approving increases to college tuition at state colleges and universities? --  And it's even worse than this when you consider that the Lottery supported HOPE Scholarships have been tiered in a way that most students get even less to offset the soaring tuition and mandatory fee costs. On the other hand, have jobs and salaries been cut at the Lottery or the University levels in attempts to hold down the rampant costs?
