The Breakfast Club - August 27, 2010

Online headline/story: "Carter Helps Secure Release of American Jailed in North Korea * Gomes had been arrested in January, accused of crossing into North Korea illegally from China." -- What's the purpose? Do the DIM/DUMBs think it will spur Calderon to come up and negotiate release of illegal aliens who have been jailed here? Not going to happen.
---
If the latest housing and retail sales aren't definitive enough for liberals to understand the economic trend is tanking, the fact that gas prices are spiking down the week before Labor Day should convince even the liberalist of liberals.
---
What was Hannity thinking when he advertised he was going to go one-on-one with Jerry Springer on this show Thursday night. Hannity couldn't honestly think that I would watch, could he?
---
I heard a DIM/DUMBorat strategist on Fox News Channel quoting scripture about judging/being judged, and it was about a human rights report potUS Imam-a sent to the UN tattling on US. Will DIM/DUMBs ever cease to stop trying to win back the extreme leftist factions of their party?
---
Online headline: "Film Student Accused of Stabbing Man (cab driver)" -- The libs are having a major melt down that one of their own did this and they cannot connect the T.E.A. Parties with him.
---
Online headline: "Was Darwin Wrong? An Alternative Theory Emerges" -- This is not "The Year/Week of the Liberal". The 'Summer of Recovery' is a scam, one of their own assaulted a Muslim cab driver, and now Darwin has been exposed.
---
Thinking about the arguments liberals use "for" building the 'Hamas-que' in the shadows of Ground Zero, will those same liberals accept their own arguments as to prayer in schools and the 10 Commandments being displayed in government buildings/court houses? How about nativity scenes in town squares or schools?
---
From the L-E report of the political forum last night, two things seem apparent: none of the Mayoral candidates exhibited the kind of strong leadership we need, and Roy Barnes apparently had nothing to say, didn't think Columbus was important enough to show up, or figures he has Columbus wrapped up.
---
L-E headline/story: "Iraq combat mission comes to end, but U.S. may stay past ’11 * The American mission is far from over, however, and it may have to be extended, according to former senior U.S. officials, foreign diplomats and private analysts" -- Looks like potUS Imam-a has either flown the "Mission Accomplished" banner too soon, or he's just broken the last campaign promise left standing.
--
L-E headline/story: "Fish knocks paddler out of water during river race * The fish flew as Pennington was trying to return to shore to repair his kayak" -- Does anyone know exactly where Rahm Emanuel was at that time?
---
It's more than just ironic that the mayor's plan (for Parks & Recreation being the main recipient of the Public Safety slush fund) uncovered that the Parks & Recreation Department had already set up its own slush fund.
---
L-E headline: "Goodwill converting Ben & Jerry’s to donation center " -- Aside from the fact that Goodwill never should have used its resources to compete in such a commercial endeavor, it would be even better if Goodwill got out of the lease on that property altogether.
---
From L-E story: "(Congressman) Bishop confirmed the two (he and Edward Wilkens) had talked: “I tentatively agreed to meet with him then was unable to meet with him. I didn’t bother to follow up. We didn’t know if he was trying to secretly tape me or to provoke me. We just knew he was not a happy camper. He wanted to make trouble for Jamey (Crozier).” -- What an attitude for a Congressman! Crozier had already made trouble for himself, and Bishop was not interested in correcting/soothing the situation. Fire Bishop and Crozier goes, too!
---
Looks like CB&T didn't pick a a name that fully compliments their new East Columbus branch. It should be called the CB&T Banking and Booking Center. Wonder if your fingerprint needed for check cashing will go directly to police files?
---
From above: Wonder if the bank that gets the City of Columbus' banking business next time will also get to use this banking facility?
---
L-E headline: "Will tough times trigger corporate art selloff?" -- Hmmm, aren't we glad we got the library's art purchase stopped, but what about the Viagra Falls sculpture at the Rivercenter? Since it ended up being funded by private dollars (versus Water Works dollars - ours), who actually owns it?
