What a story; what a memory. The season has ended for our Northern LL champions. District, State, and Regional championships, and they beat both teams playing today for a spot in the US Championships. Well done, young men, and we'll look forward to following you in the future levels of Columbus baseball.

Speaking of baseball...do you think there are 12 potential jurors in Washington, DC qualified to carry Roger Clemens's jock strap? Do I think he did wrong...yes; do I think it was of concern of the US Congress to investigate..."No!

I do have one question to ask concerning a play in the Little League game yesterday. A Hawaiian runner collide with Northern's catcher on a play at the plate. Why wasn't the Hawaiian player called 'out' instead of being credited with a run? Little League rules specifically say that a runner MUST slide when a play is being made at any base.

BTW, I'm pulling for Texas today. If Hawaii wins, everyone might expect potUS Imam-a to throw out the first ball, and he's already struck out with the Boy Scouts, Memorial Day, and the National Day of Prayer.

The last thing we need in Congress is a politician who ignores the court dates and racks up arrests warrants." -- Wrong! The last thing we "NEED in Congress" is anyone who will vote for a bill he hasn't read!!!

L-E headline/story: "CSU’s fall enrollment sets record * “We made a strong push this year to attract more academically qualified students,” (Dr Timothy) Mescon said. “Retention statistics prompted us, with faculty encouragement, to move up our application deadline to June 30 and to raise our minimum academic qualifications for entry" -- Hope this means there is a reduction of the 1000+ "CSU" students who were enrolled in remedial classes at Columbus Tech. That was a hard to believe statement from last year.

L-E headline: "Bernanke says Fed has powers to help economy, but delays action" -- Yeah...like what's he going to do...pay banks to take more money they are printing so they have more they aren't going to lend out?

It's not really a question about the Northern LL team missing school to play baseball; it's a question about why the MCSD makes children go to school in August versus being able to play and swim.
