The Breakfast Club - August 29, 2010

Online story: "Federal authorities said Saturday they will take over the investigation into the massacre of 72 migrants at a ranch in northern Mexico because evidence suggests drug traffickers were responsible. * They also said an Ecuadorean migrant who was the lone survivor has refused Mexico's offer of a humanitarian visa and will return to his native country." -- DOH? Why would a young man who survived what was supposed to be a 73 person massacre think that there was ANY 'humanitarian' concept in Mexico?
---
There's a story going around that potUS Imam-a is trying to use the "Toxic Substance Control Act of 1976" to ban lead from ammunition. Huh...because getting shot with lead is more toxic than being shot with something else?
---
Online story: "The Obama administration has shelved the planned prosecution of Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri, the alleged coordinator of the Oct. 2000 suicide attack on the USS Cole in Yemen, according to a court filing." -- It isn't because a--Nashiri is a reborn Christian..

L-E's "Thought for Today": “It is one thing to show a man that he is in an error, and another to put him in possession of the truth.” — John Locke, English philosopher (born this day in 1632, died in 1704). " Rush Limbaugh has the same problem with today's DIM/DUMBorats 300 years later.

After all these years, Tim Chitwood finally gets it. City departmental audits should be conducted like the Health Department conducts inspections. A knock on the door is all the time needed to start an inspection.
---
L-E headline/story: "Auburn may not be able to operate pilot school * The Federal Aviation Administration says Auburn University’s flight program can no longer train pilots because of the resignation of its chief pilot, but school officials disagree with the agency’s interpretation of the rules. * The program’s last head pilot, Rae Williams, resigned after an unidentified student pilot flying with him in May landed the school’s Cessna trainer without lowering its landing gear, damaging the aircraft. * The school has yet to hire a new chief pilot, and FAA spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen said rules prohibit a flight school from operating without someone in the position." -- Like it would improve? It doesn't take a licensed operator to understand a plane lands better using wheels.

The saddest moment of Glenn Beck's "Restoring Honor" rally in Washington, DC was Al Sharptons 'lack of honor' demonstration down the street. I'd wager that Dr KIng would have participated in Glenn Beck's rally before he'd have joined Al Sharpton. King had a dream, not a nightmare.
---
L-E headline: "Obama: Baghdad to chart its own future" -- Well, with a lot of hard work, maybe "WE" can start to re-chart of future in November in spite if the direction potUS Imam-a wants.
---
Take a look at the pictures of Melanie Oudin and Brett Favre in the L-E Sports Section today. If you shaved Favre's beard, could you tell who was who?
---
Don't know who the writer of the "Keep an eye on this guy" section on Mississippi State's Chad Bumphis is (or should be "was"), but how do we know where Bumphis will be from week-to-week since the writer puts him in a Rebel's uniform as well.
---
Just a few days ago, a fellow BCers and immense UGA fan told me how proud he was of the few arrests of Bulldog players he was; I suggested it may be because of so many in the past, he'd become desensitized to the ones this past year. The L-E says the same thing.
