The Breakfast Club - August 5, 2010

Online headline: "Prop. 8: California's Same-Sex Marriage Ban Ruled Unconstitutional" -- You know, with the judge in question being 1 of 2 openly gay federal judges, and the venue being San Francisco, was there any question about his decision? So much for the theory that judges can rise above their prejudices in making decisions.

With potUS Nero-bama's approval rating hovering @ 41%, can you imagine how low it would be if his followers didn't believe most of the current debt problems are Bush's fault?
---
Since he split with Hannity and now does his own show, does anyone know what network carries the Alan Colmes Show? I've never seen it, and don't want to accidentally get counted if I'm channel surfing.
---
Pray for the families of the people murdered in a hate crime in Connecticut. Can you believe anyone's claim of racist persecution caused him to be fired when video cameras caught him stealing beer from his employer's company? Now, for his relatives to pass along that the man claimed racism is racism itself.
---
Can't you picture Roberto Duran leading a protest over the Ground Zero Mosque? Can't you hear him leadin a chant, "No Mosque, No Mosque"?
---
You know...the MCSD says it will report tuition fraud to the IRS, yet "government" has covered itself by not requiring non local resident teachers who get full or partial tuition for their children to report the same as income. That's a 'little' self-serving, don't you think?
---
L-E headline: "Petraeus renews limits on airstrikes * Soldiers fighting Taliban can only call in help if no civilians are present " -- What a "catch-22"! Like the Taliban wear uniforms that announce their presence, and aren't likely to have unwilling civilian men/women/children to hide behind.
---
L-E story: "Georgia Power, several weeks ago, said it is seeking a ratehikeof$10.88permonth, an 8.2 percent increase, for the average residential customer." -- GA Power is seeking an 8.2% increase. Considering that the US government forewent Social Security cost-of-living increases due to lack of inflation, what even gives the right for GA Power to ask for an inflation flaming increase?
---
L-E story: "A woman netted by Columbus police in an online prostitution sting pleaded not guilty Wednesday in Columbus Recorder’s Court. " -- Here we go again. When a person pleads 'not guilty' in Recorders Court, but is convicted later in State/Municipal/Superior Court, shouldn't lying to the judge in Recorder's Court be added to the charges?
---
The disappearance of the oil spill residue demonstrates one glaring flaw in Global Warming and wacko environmentalists claims. Earth can/does/will take care of itself DESPITE man. Why don't such wackos donate their time/energy/money to areas of need that can be positively affected by man.
---
L-E headline/story: "FTC says computer buyers to benefit from Intel deal * The FTC’s case is built on the argument that those prices haven’t fallen as fast as they could have. * Intel has long denied the charges and has pointed to the industry’s falling prices as evidence that the market is functioning normally." -- Seeing as I can buy top performing laptop for under $1000.00 today versus the $4,200.00 I paid for my first (a 486 chip) in 1994, I tend to agree with Intel; especially when you consider the FTC probably has never reduced it's costs from a previous years' budget.
