From the 'it's not one world' department - Online story: "ISLAMABAD, Sept 2
(Reuters) - A Christian girl who was arrested under Pakistan's controversial
anti-blasphemy law may have moved a step closer to freedom on Sunday after
police detained a Muslim cleric on suspicion of planting evidence to frame her.
* Still, Rimsha Masih, whose arrest last month angered religious and secular
groups worldwide, may be in danger if she returns from jail to her village. *
Some Muslim neighbours insist she should still be punished, and said the
detained imam was a victim. * Under Muslim Pakistan's anti-blasphemy law, the
mere allegation of causing offence to Islam can mean death. Those accused are
sometimes killed by members of the public even if they are found innocent by the
courts. * "Pour petrol and burn these Christians," said Iqbal Bibi, 74,
defending the imam on the steps of the mosque where he preaches in Masih's
impoverished village of Mehr Jaffer" -- Is Israel the only civilized country in
the mid-East?

Desmond Tutu says Bush43 & Tony Blair should be tried on War Crimes for
invading Iraq and causing such political unrest in the area. This guy needs a
new name... I suggest something with more alliteration.. say DIM&DUMBERat
Demon DoDo.

For the record, BCer Jerry Luquire starts his new call-in talk radio show
today on AM 1370 beginning at 3:00 PM.

It's Monday morning so be careful where you pick up your cup-a-Joe this
morning. Looks like Midas and McDonald's had the same company design their new
facade logos:
There's also another "M" company (Mattress Company) on Veterans (too) that
uses the red color with a yellow swoopy thing.

Though not necessarily earned, the UGA Dawgs picked up a new fan Saturday
who's a lot cuter than Russ:

Seems the mainstream media noticed and has become agitated at Romney for
not using the Afghan War as a political football in his GOP acceptance speech.
Guess our military can breathe easier knowing their next Commander-in-Chief will
not be giving the enemy comfort nor our battle plans.
---
L-E headline: " (Former UGA thug running back) fizzles in his debut" --
Hmmm, sounds like he actually had a better day than his last one in Athens.
Wonder if he altered the logo on the football?
---
Liberal's L-E "soundoff": "George W. Bush was just in Columbus. Had he
known I was here and the disdain I have for him, I probably would have been
waterboarded." -- After nearly 4 years of King Arpege, one wonders how even the
lesser informed libs can still harbor all their resentment for the past. Of
course, since waterboarding is out, perhaps XPOTUS Bush43 could have
'straightened' this lib out, slapped a coat of waterproofing on it, and shot the
rapids on the Chattahoochee.
---
L-E's "Thought for Today": "It takes courage to grow up and become who you
really are." -- E.E. Cummings )1894-1962" -- Like all rules of nature, there are
exceptions to this one, too. It takes no courage to be a grown-up liberal
anymore.
---
L-E's "Quotable": "Liberals claim to want to give a hearing to other views,
but then are shocked and offended to discover that there are other views." -
William F. Buckley Jr., American journalist (1925-2008)." -- Buckley almost
nailed this, but the truth is that Liberals are shocked that there is any other
view than theirs.
---
According to L-E Online readers, there was a desire to know when all the
older Columbus high schools would be replaced like Carver. Don't sweat it, in
10-15 years, Carver will look just as bad as the rest. The MCSD doesn't set
aside enough revenue to have a true maintenance department.
---
What is it with true DIM&DUMBERat lawyers-turned-mayor? A late one
called any one opposed to his regime 'Neanderthals', and the current one refers
to them as trolls. Hmmm, I guess the L-E cannot print what some of the
neanderthals and troll think of them.
---
L-E story: "Atlanta - Government officials who approved finaning a failed
fuel plant that cost taxpayers at least $75 million did so despite repeated
warnings and strong opposition by some of the federal overseers who reviewed the
project. * Located about 80 miles west of Savannah, the Range Fuels operation
was proposed to transform wood chips into ethanol fuel, but it closed last year
without producing any (repeat, ANY) usable ethanol. * Taxpayers lost at least
$75 million in loan guarantees and grants." -- Once again another "green" energy
project fails, and the only "green" energy produced was the flames of another
bundle of green tax dollars going up in smoke.

What a show put on by Oosthuizen & McIlroy as the last pairing
yesterday. While Oosthuizen had a seven-birdie string on his way to an 8 under
par round of 63, McIlroy's 67 was really more sparkling as his late birdies came
after staring at a playing partner who was 8 under after 10 holes.

The L-E's "Box Office" results column was conspicuous today as it did not
include the "Top 10" list it usually lists. Googling the results shows that
"2016: Obama's America" was still in the Top 10. That must really rankle liberal
media sources such as the L-E. Especially since this movie was the number 3
movie in terms of average sales per screen, and not far behind the average of
the new release, "Lawless", per screen, and ahead of heavily promoted movies
such as "Expendables 2", "Bourne Legacy", "Timothy Green", "Dark Knight"
"Premium Rush", "Hope Springs", "Paranormal" and the rest.
