Online headline: "France Implements Enormous Tax on Rich" -- Looks like the prequel of "2016: Obama's America" is "Live!", on stage, as we speak.

---

From a fellow BCer:

---

Online story: "Sears and Darden Restaurants -- the parent company of the Olive Garden, Red Lobster and other chain eateries -- plan to start giving their employees a pot of money and letting them choose both their insurer and level of coverage from an online marketplace, The Wall Street Journal reports. The move may mean that employees end up paying more for their coverage out of pocket if the sum provided by their employers doesn’t go up as quickly as health care costs. " -- Welcome to HELL-thScare 2013's "unintended consequences"... "collateral damage"! Sears and Darden employees will get a double dose of reality as their paychecks look bigger, their tax class gets higher, their healthcare escalates, and their net income takes a hit.

Middle Tennessee State University? Maybe GA Tech will start a trend next year or the one after that since it has 12 games to schedule, why not schedule them against front line teams so that if you get beat by some other teams, you won't be embarrassed by losing to a "W"-padder.

---

Why is Fox News getting lambasted? I did not see the live (nor any reruns that haven't been redacted) view of the chase/crash/suicide, but it was live, unfiltered news, not the pabulum mainstream government kowtowing media giants want to give.

---

I like an enthusiastic home team crowd, but some of the crowd at Medinah sounded like they were recruited from Caddy Shack II and Happy Gilmore.

---

From a fellow BCer..worth a peek and pass along: "Produced in San Diego County by local college students, and
local high schoolers.....can you believe it....in California!!
This 3-minute, professional-quality video is
perfect to
share across the nation with family, friends and everyone in between!! Put your computer sound on and go to full screen. "
---
The latest from barackobama.com: "Every donation counts -- will you chip in $5 or more now?" -- Up until a week ago or so, all King Arpege asked for was a $3 donation; now he wants $5. This, from the same guy who insists that there is no inflation so SS checks do not get a COLA bump.
---
The HuffPost has pictures of the 50 states' Capitol buildings. 49 of them are straight on post card type photos.... GA's was not one of them.
This one must have been taken in the early 1990's when GA politics leaned heavily to the left.
---
I like the new rules for selecting a Chief Judge of our Supreme Court Circuit every two years. Seems like a pretty good method of balancing opinions and work loads for all concerned.
---
L-E headline: "Shelnutt to plead guilty to reduced drug charges * Attorney could avoid jail time. retain law license in plea deal" -- Boy, this really cleans up the image the public already has about lawyers... NOT!
---
Amendment 1 on our GA ballot will give parents more options for educating their children. Send a message to the MCSD board and administration that change is needed, wanted. Vote "FOR" Amendment one to allow charter schools without the MCSD board approval. We can become our own "superintendent" versus the ones the MCSD wants.
---
Karl Douglass is about to take the ride of his life. Raising teens is no easy under the best of circumstances, but modern technology undermines teens getting low doses of reality over a 6-8 year period as parents would like. Facebook, cell phones, TV oriented teen shows give teens warped senses of freedoms they are not ready to digest and assimilate all at once, must less put to practice.
---
L-E headline/story: "Alcohol enemas a new fear at college * Thanks to the drunken exploits of a fraternity at the University of Tennessee, alcohol enemas, a bizarre way of getting drunk, is giving parents, administrators and healthcare workers a new fear" -- A "new fear" indeed! Now our schools can't even teach students which end to funnel shots into! Well, I guess it might be an attempt to fool a 'breathalyzer'.
---
Who cares what the former UGA running back with a tendency to hoard stolen guns under his car seat does for a minor league team? UGA does not seem to miss him at all, so why does the L-E even want to follow him?
