Online headline/story: "Obama Leads Romney Among NASCAR Fans * Barack Obama led Mitt Romney by 7 points, 49 percent to 42 percent, among the 202 voters who said they were fans of NASCAR, according to the survey, conducted by pollster John Zogby." -- Will the HuffPost spinmeisters stop at skewing figures of anything? Well, maybe this NASCAR is a different one than what we think the HP is talking about... maybe the "National Association of Sneaky Configurers and Revisionists".

Online headline/story: "America's Richest Cities: San Jose Tops List With Highest Median Household Income * The median income for a household in San Jose was $77,000, which is well above the national median of $51,000." -- Wait a minute! How can this be even close...the teachers in Chicago make more than this individually.

Some new guy is joining the NBC "Today" show this morning. Never heard of him, and not even sure of who he's replacing. Except for golf, I don't think I even watch anything on any of the NBC stations.

---

HuffPost headline: "CNN Pushes Back In Fight With State Department; Clinton Spokesman Tells Reporter To 'F--k- Off' -- That must been some sort of cat fight to see. This is the same CNN that kept its mouth shut in Saddam Hussein's Baghdad so the staff would continue to get invited to palace parties.

Why can non- pharmaceutical companies advertise/sell weight loss products as if they work, while if the products did work, the major drug companies would have them in FDA trials so they could get them approved for high mark-up prescription drugs?

---

It's amazing... a hundred plus of the world's leaders is in NYC this week, and King Arpege will welcome none of them personally. There are some that he needs to personally apologize to for his earlier apologies.

---

With a head's up from a fellow BCer - From the Washington Examiner: "The most important A better way to put it is that Barack Obama has proved he can't change Washington from the inside.lesson I've learned is that you can't change Washington from the inside," Barack Obama said in an interview Thursday on the Spanish-language Univision network. "You can only change it from the outside." -- Basic first... and first, you have to want to change Washington before you start. The only change King Arpege ever wanted in Washington was a 'change of address'.

Online story: "The Obama administration’s now-public list of Guantanamo Bay prisoners cleared for release or transfer to another country includes a former Usama bin Laden bodyguard, according to published documents and news reports. * The name Idris Ahmad Abdu Qadir Idris appears on the list of 55 detainees. He is believed to be an Al Qaeda member and was identified as a bin Laden bodyguard whose duty began shortly before the 9/11 terrorist attacks, according to Defense Department documents in 2008 made available by WikiLeaks. * He was brought to the Cuba prison camp in June 2008 and is considered by the Defense Department a “high” terror threat, the documents also show." -- So Osama bin Laden's body guard is going to be released from Gitmo. Guess King Arpege either thinks this guy has been fully rehabilitated or his recidivism will give King Arpege a pre-election boost as a SEALS Target.

Got even another request to enter the "Dinner with Barack" event. Since entries without donations are no longer accepted (all those Fast Food game lotteries have a 'no purchase necessary' option, but not King Arpege), I typed in $1.00. Got an error message "Please choose an amount higher than $3." Typed in $2.00; got same message. Typed in $3.00, and that was acceptable. What happened to the "Please choose an amount higher than $3" condition? The guy has absolutely no backbone. Canceled out rest of process.

---

Latest from barackobama.com: "When we launched this campaign, we decided not to take the easy money offered by Washington lobbyists and special interest political action committees." -- Who is this guy? Just above, he showed no backbone, but this claim is confirmation King Arpege is scruple-less as well.

I still do not understand why the City wants to move traditional downtown services out to the Columbus Square properties. Doing so will reduce daytime traffic to the downtown area the City is so involved in reviving. Downtown restaurants and retailers will feel the pinch on Day 1 once the Service Center opens.

---

The imagery conjured up by Romney's ad focusing on King Arpege's "prairie fire of debt" just keeps getting clearer. Hope Romney injects this phrase often in the debate series.
---

King Arpege has spent $70,000 on ads with him telling the Afghani people how America has a tradition of religious freedom. Haven't seen/heard them personally, but wonder whether he's speaking in Pashto, Dari, or Aramaic, because I can't imagine the Afghani people understanding a word of English.

L-E headline/story: "State's SAT scores rise 7 points, ending 5 year slide * The College Board's 2012 SAT reort released Monday puts the state's average at 1,452, which still lags behind the national average of 1,498." -- Remember when the SATs had two parts, both objective oriented to college preparatory skill (versus 3 parts with one being subjective - writing), and a top score of 1,600 combined? Even with the plus of having a written portion of the test to scale the test average up, this score averages less than a 500 out of 800 on each portion (484 per segment), and wouldn't have gotten you a second look at a major college. Now, combine this with how many Georgia students "qualify" for HOPE Scholarships based on a better than 3.0/3.75 GPA and you get an idea of how scoring in the public school classrooms has been dumbed down so ill-prepared students clog the freshman registration process.

Remember when the College Bowl season ended on January 1st, and everyone could get back to work on the next day? Now, with the new BCS format, the final bowl game will be January 15th, and the major bowls are becoming nothing but feeder games.
