Online headline/story: "Wisconsin Collective Bargaining Law Struck Down By
County Judge * Dane County Circuit Judge Juan Colas ruled that the law violates
both the state and U.S. Constitution and is null and void. * In his 27-page
ruling, the judge said sections of the law "single out and encumber the rights
of those employees who choose union membership and representation solely because
of that association and therefore infringe upon the rights of free speech and
association guaranteed by both the Wisconsin and United States Constitutions."
-- More political BS. The D&Ds just cannot accept the people's will, and
abuse the court system for preferences of a private entity (the union hierarchy
itself) who can leverage its own power at the expense of an individuals right to
work.

Online headline/story: "Walmart Warehouse Workers Pilgrimage For 50 Miles
Over 6 Days To Protest Working Conditions * The Inland Empire group began on
Thursday a six-day, 50-mile march, which they are calling a "pilgrimage," to
draw attention to the poor working conditions that they say they can no longer
tolerate." -- If the workers who walked out want sympathy, they lost it by
announcing they would walk 50 miles in 6 days. If that's as productive as they
can be, the what ever Walmart paid them was too much. This is just more union
politicking.

WRBL3 story: "Georgia's resolve will be tested this week. Florida Atlantic
(1-1) has just two victories in the last 22 months, and one of those was an ugly
7-3 win over lower-division Wagner in the season opener. *The Bulldogs (2-0)
opened as a 44½-point favorite. * Florida Atlantic is essentially playing this
game for the money. The Owls will receive $1 million from Georgia, and another
$1 million payout next week to get beaten by ... uh, to play top-ranked
Alabama." -- The NCAA expanded the game schedules to allow matches like this?
Why don't teams just schedule a "varsity versus alumni" game if they just want a
"W". Some athlete on one of the fodder teams is going to get injured bad enough
to sue his own school/coach for reckless endangerment, and get this insaneness
stopped.

Online headline/story: "Ratings Agency Egan-Jones Downgrades US Debt *
Egan-Jones cited "the potential for the Federal Reserve's third round of
large-scale asset purchases to weaken the dollar and drive up inflation,"
without significantly raising the country's real gross domestic product. *
Egan-Jones was also the first to downgrade Enron and WorldCom, two of corporate
history's most notorious failures." -- King Arpege just cemented his place in
history... he was the first president to get the US downgraded, and now it has
become a trend. Hurry November!
---
At this point, I'm really glad the national media and polls are trying to
show King Arpege is still viable... this makes sure those of us who see the
continued destruction of this country will be out in force on election day to
stop it.
---
Judging from his remarks concerning the deaths of the US ambassador, it
seems King Arpege has graduated from Biden's School of Gaffes.
---
From a fellow BCer
---
"and the SEAT goes on.. BTW, I hope the last one is not picked up by the D&D spinmeisters claiming the army is racist by showing a hanging chair.
---
Paul Ryan said King Arpege didn't fail because his agenda was blocked in Congress, it failed because it was passed!

Thursday, I witnessed a CSU student purchasing Camel cigarettes at "The
Den" (the CSU student meal/convenience store downtown). He paid $6.31 for a pack
and used his CSU student account to pay for them (Hey dads, are you watching
where your son's meal money you provided is being siphoned up by CSU). Even
worse was that the Camel package was blue... what are they?
---
While we talking about CSU selling cigarettes on its campus, I also note
that I haven't seen a designated smoking area nor a single butt disposal unit
anywhere on the CSU downtown campus.

Had a harrowing experience at St Francis Hospital Wednesday! Went up early
to support a family member's procedure, parked unknowingly in the garage serving
the main lobby, then called family member to see where they were located. The
hall and floor setup is akin to an English Boxwood hedge maze. You can't get to
the endoscopy waiting room by verbal direction from the main lobby. Fortunately,
one staffer guided me there the last half of thr trek.

Liberal's L-E "soundoff": "It is very sad that while Condi Rice was a
speaker at the RNC, delegates were throwing peanuts at a black female, saying
"This is how we feed animals." Who more represents this party?" -- Don't know
which entity is the most ignorant and racist... the writer for his/her
undocumented claim, or the L-E for printing such undocumented garbage?
---
Another hateful liberal's L-E "soundoff": "Mitt Romney is about as
un-American as one can get. He banks overseas, he did his military service as a
missionary overseas, he sends jobs overseas, and his grandparents came from
Mexico." -- What is it about personal success in life that get's liberal's
shorts in a wad? To me, Mitt Romney and his family have achieved the American
dream by hard work, perseverance, and personal effort.
So President
Obama told us that, " You didn’t elect me to tell you what you wanted to hear.
You elected me to tell you the truth." Then he went on to explain his college
education plan:
· Cut the growth of college tuition in half over the next 10 years
· Recruit 100,000 math and science teachers over the next 10 years
· Train two million workers for real jobs at community colleges --
This has the reality factor of a 21st Century Mother Goose story written for a remake of the Twilight Zone!
