In retrospect, the BCS just exposed its Achilles Tendon. Alabama would not have been in the BCS Championship game if either Oregon or Kansas State had won their last regular season game.

---

Isn't it what you would expect from mainstream media... in the Bama-ND game, Brent Musberger drooled over AJ McCarron's girlfriend AND his mother, and has been criticized by all the politically correct media types (sure, he is a boor, but what's new?). On the other hand, on New Year's Eve, crude comedienne, Kathy Griffin mimicked a "Lewinsky" on openly gay Anderson Cooper. The mainstream media pooh-poohed this as playful. Sounds like the media publicly stereotyped Cooper so it didn't matter. Hypocrites!

---
Online headline: "ESPN issues apology for Brent Musburger's Katherine Webb comments" -- ESPN/ABC needs to go one step further in its apology. They need to apologize to sports fans everywhere for even putting Musberger in the announcing booth.
---

Curiosity question: How do pot-US Obluster and Eric Holder come across as 'genuine' about 'gun control' after their "Fast & Furious" scheme put fully automatic weapons in the hands of Mexican drug gangs?

---

Online story: "The Illinois House voted 65-46 on Tuesday in favor of a bill to give driver's licenses to undocumented immigrants, after advocates argued that the legislation could make the roads safer and prevent people from driving without insurance. * The bill will now go to the desk of Democratic Gov. Pat Quinn, who plans to sign it. The state Senate already approved the measure, also with bipartisan support. " -- "bipartisan support"? The Illinois House is made up of 64 DUMBERats & 54 Republicans, so if 64 "D's" and 1 "R" is bipartisan... Of course, passing the bill had/has no concern over driver's licences for illegals; it's about clearing the main obstacle to registering to vote.... a valid state license pretty much says you are a citizen, and will not be challenged when registering to vote.

---

Proof of above: HB4096 - Amends the Illinois Insurance Code. Provides that an insurer issuing a policy of automobile liability insurance listing a driver as insured shall not deny coverage to that driver for the sole reason that he or she lacks a valid drivers license, provided that such person was identified on the application for the policy as an unlicensed driver. Provides that advertising or otherwise promoting the sale or solicitation of a policy of automobile insurance that includes a statement that a valid driver's license is not required in order to obtain automobile insurance, followed by the denial of coverage based on the lack of a valid driver's license when a claim is made on such policy of automobile insurance is defined as an unfair method of competition and unfair and deceptive act or practice in the business of insurance. Effective immediately." -- "Provides that an insurer issuing a policy of automobile liability insurance listing a driver as insured shall not deny coverage to that driver for the sole reason that he or she lacks a valid drivers license". If no license is need to get insurance, why is Illinois making sure everyone can get a valid license?

pot-US Obluster always talks about his spending as "investing". Tell you what, if he wants us to "invest" in his projects, he better start showing us some return on our "investment". Right now it looks like a bigger "Ponzi Scheme" tham Bernie Madoff's.

---

Do you suppose that if Bleep Veep Biden was in a car accident, and his head got caught between the steering and side airbags that the botox would erupt like a pinched pimple?

---

When two groups have the same, a common, goal in mind, they can discuss different plans, make compromises, join their efforts, make progress, and attain the common goal. Unfortunately, pot-US Obluster and his DUMBERat gang have no common goal with the taxpayers so the Republican Party cannot make any compromise with the DUMBERats that will keep the nation headed towards a common goal.

Algore has sure either changed his views or sold his causes out. By selling his TV network to Aljezeera, Algore has accepted "oil money" and has become basically a lobbyist, a promoter of Mid-East oil interests.

---

Just paid for my UGA daughters book for this semester. My semester tuitition when I went was less than this amount.

---

The New York Times has endorsed some government spending cuts. Shocked? Don't be... the NYT is only endorsing spending cuts for the illegal alien capture/deportation program.

---

Hold on to your wallets, your children's, and your grandchildren's. Your taxes funneled $542 MILLION (half a BILLION) dollars into Planned Parenthood.
---

Online story: "In its latest annual report for fiscal year 2011 to 2012, Planned Parenthood reveals that it performed 333,964 abortions in 2011 – a record year for the organization." -- Sick! ... and Planned Parenthood is proud of it.
---
Same online story: "Planned Parenthood reported receiving a record $542 million in taxpayer funding, according to a Susan B. Anthony List analysis of the report, in the form of government grants, contracts, and Medicaid reimbursements. The amount is 45 percent of Planned Parenthood’s annual revenue. -- Sicker! Planned Parenthood is not as proud of this as it thinks it deserves more.
---
From the same stories: "Contraceptive services at Planned Parenthood have dropped by 12 percent since 2009, and cancer screening & prevention services have dropped by 29 percent." -- Sorta undermines the public image Planned Parenthood wants us to believe.
---
The new "volume spike" law is a farce! The BCS bowl game was so loud that when you turned in down then flipped to watch something else during commercials, the other station's volume had to be turned up 5 notches to get to a normal volume, and when you flipped back to the game, your ears got blown off!
---
You know, there really is nothing more peaceful, more serenic than seeing, watching, a baby sleeping; especially through the eyes of her grandfather.
---
Have told you that I could care less about the NBA' especially on TV, but watching the ESPN morning show discussion on the whipping Obama gave the Irish, I saw a clip on a NBA game that highlighted a player making '4-point' shot. I thought... huh? 4-point shot? I had to Google that to learn that it's true. Good grief!
---
L-E headline/story: "200-unit apartment complex near rear of subdivision not public housing, mayor says * While initial plans call for no subsidized rentals at the Moon Road complex, eventually some might be included, but only a "very, very small number," he (Len Williams, president of the housing authority) said." -- Mayor Obamalinson may have revealed herself, even stopped her re-election. Two questions: Why is the Columbus Housing Authority in the non-subsidized housing aspect to begin with, and is
"eventually some might be included, but only a very, very small number" sorta like only being a 'little bit pregnant'?
---
L-E headline: "Richard Hyatt commentary: What's taking the school board so long?" -- Hmm, maybe the MCSD is thinking that if we keep Phillips as interim on for a few years at "only $8,000.00 a month" maybe we can average out the years we paid him way too much.
---
pot-US Obluster is going to have a lay person, Mrs Merlie Evers-Williams, widow of the late Medgar Evers, to give the prayer at his inauguration. Wonder how the Reverends Jeremiah Wright, Jesse Jackson, and Al Sharpton fell about be left out?
---
The worse thing about the $16 TRILLION dollar National Debt is not how much the government is beholden to the Chinese or Japanese, it's the fact that 75% of the debt is owed to the Social Security "trust/lockbox", and we see how concerned Congress or the President is about seniors and the social security program.
---
No doubt the young man at Russell County High School is "disturbed", and needs a change of scenery, but for a law official to state that 'dip tobacco cans' filled with pellets were "a step or two away from being ready to explode," is insane. Finding neither explosive substances or fuses/detonators readily available meant those pellet-filled cans were about as dangerous as a baby rattle. Has it come to fruition that 'thoughts' are an arrestable crime?
---
A L-E "soundoff" asks this question: "I would like to know why Columbus with a population of over 187,000 people has mail postmarked from Macon, whicj has a population of 93,000. It doesn't make sense." -- Writer... reread what you wrote, and rethink what you said.... in simplified form, the answer is in the November election results. In government processing, this actually makes more sense than the pot-US Obluster being elected, and a lot more sense than him being re-elected.
---
L-E's "Thought for Today": "Defeat doesn't finish a man, quit does. A man is not finished when he's defeated. He's finished when he quits." - President Richard Nixon (1913-1994) -- For a moment, get over who said this, because it's a truism "we" have to grasp if we can overcome the blight this era of DUMBERat Rule that's been thrust upon us.
---
L-E headline: "Lawyer says Tunisian suspect in Libya attack freed" -- Looks like pot-US Obluster and Hillary are back to square one.
---
South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley should have replaced Sen Lindsey Graham with Senator Tim Scott, and let Senator DeMint's seat have a special election. Graham and Mccain are great reasons the Republicans should impose a party term limit.
---
From L-E story: "the Georgia system has 31 colleges and universities with 315,000 students, 40,000 faculty and staff, and a $7 BILLION annual operating budget." -- Hmmm, "40,000 faculty and staff, and a $7 BILLION annual operating budget"... let's give more credit than is probably called for and assume 30% of that $7 Billion goes for maintenance and other expenses, and that 70% (the MCSD percent of salaries/benefits is 85% of revenues) which would be a "B" or "B+" for a private service corporation, goes to salaries and benefits. 70% of the $7 Billion is 4,900,000,000. That comes out to $122,500 per employee!. Assuming that the system is efficient and that there are more 'Indians than Chiefs' (I know, both are a stretch), then there is definitely a top heavy administrative cost. In addition, just the books my daughter had to have for this semester at UGA were over $500.00 ($215 for one French book), and student fees were nearly $1,100.
---
What's wrong with this picture:
Considering the in-state rivalry with Auburn, wouldn't Red Powerade been more appropriate than Orange?
---
Consumer borrowing increased in November by $16 billion raising the consumer debt to a seasonally adjusted record of $2.77 Trillion. Borrowing on credit cards was 'just' $817 Million, while car and student loans soared by $15.2 BILLION. Looks like another bailout is eminent, only add colleges in this one.
