Well, it's Jan 2nd, and every one is back at work, but there are 6 more bowl games scheduled (well, only 5 real ones; the "go, daddy" one shouldn't count). Fortunately, there are still four SEC teams playing in them. G-T-H, BCS!

---

Online story: "HARRISBURG, Pa. — Gov. Tom Corbett (R) said Tuesday he plans to sue the NCAA in federal court over stiff sanctions imposed against Penn State University in the wake of the Jerry Sandusky child sexual abuse scandal." Tom Corbett must be a RINO! In an age when women fear what Republicans try to do to micro-manage their personal lives, one Republican steps forward to claim that the penalty imposed on a man who is a convicted molester of some women's children is unfair to the football team!

If the top 10 richest people in the world, the world mind you, were to donate 100% of their wealth ($437 BILLION total) to the pot-US Obluster checking account, he'd be bouncing checks in less than 6 months.

---

HuffPost headline: "Pope Slams Capitalism, Inequality Between Rich And Poor In New Years Message" -- How can one man be oxymoronic, conflicted and self-incriminating in one sentence? He's the head of probably the richest 'church', should be able to win the wealthiest to Christ, lives in his gated community.

---

The lemming stopped at the edge of the 'fiscal cliff'. We are run by a government that does not present our country as the best it can be. Nathan Hale is probably thinking he died in vain!

---

Online story: "Liberals were unhappy Democrats left out a number of their goals for the bill, and that they did not push for setting the upper limit for retaining the old tax rates at $250,000 -- a promise Obama campaigned and won on. Obama had hoped to raise $1.6 trillion in revenue over 10 years. The bill only raises $620 billion, suggesting to many Democrats that future deficit reduction could come from cutting cherished programs. * "We're going to look back on this night and regret it," said Rep. Jim Moran (D-Va.). -- "Liberals were unhappy Democrats left out a number of their goals for the bill"? Besides the obvious difference of opinion as to all DUMBERats being liberal (some are just more liberal than others (Animal Farm II, the ongoing sequel), at least the furthest left liberals will look back in regret most of the country felt the morning after the November election reports came in.

Unbeknownst to all of our BCers, while we either were sleeping when midnight arrived or were watching ABC's version, Kathy Griffin apparently tried to give Anderson Cooper oral sex live from their New Year's Eve CNN broadcast stand. Cooper stood his ground valiantly at her every attempt, for which he should be commended, but would he have faltered if Barney Frank had been his co-host.... I can't believe I just reported this, but it really is necessary to out CNN for not shutting the two down.

---

Online headline: "'Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve' Wins Big" -- Thank God! This means even less people were exposed to the crap on CNN.

---

Online story: "New York Times correspondent Chris Buckley was forced to leave mainland China on Monday because the Chinese government did not renew his visa for 2013, the paper reported. * Buckley, an Australian national, has lived in China since 2000 and re-joined the Times earlier this year after working with Reuters." -- We should be so lucky to have NY Times reporters to be cut off from reporting their side of any issue.

---

WRBL3 story: "Six people were stabbed in Atlanta during an early morning argument. All the victims are in stable condition, but were hospitalized with stab wounds. * Police said the incident started with an altercation between two men. One of them started stabbing people when they tried to intervene. -- Hmmm, somewhere, some liberal spinmeister will try to say this was better than them having guns. Just proves the point that when "guns/any weapons are outlawed, outlaws will try to kill you with something else".

---

After watching 'the hit' by South Carolina's Jadevon Clowney on a Michigan running back, the NCAA should issue an immediate ban on the rasta dreadlocks players are wearing. The running backs helmet was blown off during the hit, probably because of the inability of a rasta dreadlock player's ability to fully secure his helmet with that much looseness caused by the clump of hair on his head.

Online quote site: "America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves. ― Abraham Lincoln" -- No wonder pot-US Obluster seems to avoid the connection that he was sworn in as president in 2009, the 200th anniversary of Lincoln's birth.
---
Northwestern won the Gator Bowl. Just proof that half the 35 bowl games should never have been scheduled.
---
Don't you have to wonder what the Senate actually passed, and whether anyone has actually read the whole thing?
---
Hey, "regular people", did you hear that? The sound of additional Obamacare taxes falling out of your next paycheck?
---
What's wrong with this picture:

This picture was copied from the website (note date) yet doesn't show that the wavershaper and the paved basin that are in it. What else is being hidden?
---
That psycho, who used his brother's ID and his mother's guns to massacre 26 children and teachers; is it known whether or not he had a photo ID of his own? Let's muse that... without a photo ID of his own, he couldn't have bought a gun, but he could vote for pot-US Obluster.
---
L-E headline: "Clinton gets blood thinners to dissolve clot " -- Guess they're hoping it will warm up her blood.
---
It sure was refreshing to note that the first baby born in the area had a mother and father present.
---
Of all the stories recalled from "Looking Back" 50 years ago, rehashing Viet Nam is the worst so far.
---
If "No Kill Columbus" is going to demonstrate/protest euthanasia at the Animal Control site, all members should walk-the-walk by all showing up with pets they have adopted (and with 'doggy bags').
---
Josh McKoon shouldn't have to be pushing for better ethics among legislators; that should be a given, but until then, "Go, Josh!"!
---
L-E headline: "Hospitals going paperless to boost efficiency" -- "to boost efficiency"? How about to eliminate a paper trail.....
---
L-E story: "CARTERSVILLE — A Bar-tow County school board member is free on bond after police say she hit a teenager with her SUV in a dispute over a Walmart parking space. * Police say the unidentified 17-year-old girl was standing in a parking space Friday trying to save it for someone. " -- Hmmm, guess the school board member was practicing what she preached... steamroll the students.
---
This one hits home for most of us (though it happens rarely):
---
L-E headline: "Restaurant employee robbed at gunpoint of Chinese food" -- Knew Chinese food was loaded, but didn't know you could point it..
