Online story: "President Obama is putting a symbolic twist on a
time-honored tradition, taking the oath of office for his second term with his
hand placed not on a single Bible, but two -- one owned by Martin Luther King
Jr. and one by Abraham Lincoln." -- I'd say it's more than "a symbolic twist";
it'll be more like a "strangle hold". What's pot-US Obluster going to do, swear
to overturn the life work on the books of guidance of two men who fought for the
freedom all men?
---
I don't know why the L-E is so upset at the MCSD Board for dragging its
feet on finding a new superintendent. Until it does, with Phillips as the
interim, the job is getting done no worse than before, and heaven knows the
Board needs that $100K annual savings caused by the pension income rules.
---
WRBL3 headline: "Judge rules evidence sufficient for Colorado shooting
suspect to face trial on all counts" -- We don't need any more gun ban laws; we
need to ban stupid court proceedings! The psycho should have been "strung up" in
public the next day so all potential copycat psychos could see their
future.
---
You know, the media and liberal "feel tanks" must be mentally challenged!
They react to DUMBERat calls for gun legislation like there are no such laws
already on the books, and they have been for decades. Wish libs would funnel
their energy at the courts to change how they sentence psychos.
---
Case in point - L-E story: "Noblesville, Ind -- An Alabama man accused of
fatally stabbing his 2-year-old son wailed, banged his head on a table and asked
for a rope to kill himself during his initial court appearance." -- Why doesn't
the judge take the situation in hand and help this guy out before any more
lawyers jump on the freeload wagon?
---
Online headline: "Congressman Slams Obama's Second-Term Cabinet" -- Well,
pot-US Obluster should fire back and slam Charlie Rangel's re-election, and
everyone would be right.
---
There's a true caveat about manufacturing cars that drive themselves
electronically... the teenage kid next door will figure out a a new 'app' for
his iPhone, and take over your car by remote control.
---
Online headline: "Max Cleland: Hagel Was A Great Senate Colleague" -- This
is not an endorsement; it's a 'kiss of death'.
---
Sports fans better not sympathize with the findings about Junior Seau.
Before it's over, Seau's brain damages will be attributed to his first tackle in
Pop Warner football, and youth football will be converted to youth soccer with
football protective gear.
---
I just watched a video of a Fresno State player's 'dunk shot'. It was quite
entertaining but was it legal. As he drove down the court he threw the ball hard
at the backboard (not really a 'shot') then caught the carom and completed a
one-man alley-oop play. I didn't think you could pass the ball to yourself; that
would be a form of 'traveling' or 'air dribble' when I played. Oh well, like
with guns, if you don't enforce the rules, people will continue to break
them.
---
Bill Clinton was the special attraction for Samsung at the Las Vegas CES
convention. He went on a tear about large capacity gun magazines. What he didn't
do was rip into violent electronic games or their endless magazines of
ammo.
---
Also, The National Father's Day Council had announced Bill Clinton is its
"Father of the Year"......I think he's the "mother of the year" at best.
---
If liberals wanted a complete ban on automatic weapons, they should have
insisted that pot-US Obluster stop selling them to Mexican drug lords before
giving him their donations and votes.
---
Why is that liberals can't pat themselves on the back, the shoulder (or
even go to the airport for a full body pat-down) over their successful gun
banning laws? You say, 'huh? Yeah, they have successfully banned automatic
weapons and none were used in Colorado or Connecticut.
---
---
L-E story: "Agents assumed Reese ran back to where he'd been living at 4315
Yates Drive, but after blocking the street and sending in robots, they concluded
no one was home. A search of the house yielded drub=gs and weapons, including an
AH-47, they said." -- "AK-47"? Now THAT's an automatic assault weapon, andn the
L-E didn't realize it. On a hunch, went back to the byline to see if Hasn't Ben
Wright had anything to do with the reporting... my hunch was correct.
---
I see that the Committee to PAVE the Chattahoochee just met. Figures are
now up to $24 Million amusement park versus the initial concept of a $2 Million
dollar river restoration project. Can John T really say that the initiative he
proposed will be accomplished?
---
Liberal's L-E "soundoff": "Cleland, Kerry, Duckworth and Hagel -- all
Purple Heart winners and all attacked by the GOP" -- I don't know the stories of
Hagel and Duckworth, but I do remember the circumstances of Cleland's and
Ketrry's Purple Hearts, and I wouldn't categorize those as bravery under
fire.
---
Uninformed L-E "soundoff": "One reason Alabama schools got an F is that too
many Alabama parents are failing to encourage their children to graduate high
school. It doesn't pay to be ignorant." -- Arrggghhhh!!!!! Wrong! Too many
parents have bought into the DUMBERat "cradle-to-grave" night&daycare system
and are raising their children to follow the 'family business'.
---
An uninformed liberal's (I know, redundant) L-E "soundoff": "If you racists
don't stop hating Obama and realize he is in for four more years, you are going
to lose your minds." -- Since when is being a 'realist' considered 'racism'?
It's not about "hating" pot-US Obluster, it's about 'hating' what he ideas are
for our future, and we're concerned about losing our shirts, not our
minds.
---
L-E headline: "Biden: Public wants us to act" -- Well, that's partially
true. The public does want pot-US Obluster and Bleep Veep Biden to act.... to
act responsibly; to act reasonably, and to act like they are interested in the
future of our country.
---
Speaking of acting responsibly, the L-E could do so by not promoting
violent movies or their reviews. Cases in point: "Gangstar Squad", "Django
Unchained", "Zero Dark Thirty", "Texas Chainsaw 3D", and "Jack Reacher"
etc.
---
Wouldn't it be nice that Jamie Foxx, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Smauel L.
Jackson could make a movie about anything that we would want to take our
complete family to go and see?
---
L-E's "Late Laughs": A--Jazeera has purchased Al Gore's old TV network,
Current TV. So it's now owned by Al-Jazeera. And listento this: $500 million.
This is a little something Al Gore has come up with called "global fleecing." -
David Letterman -- Whoa! David Letterman is making a comeback! He actually said
something funny which is not his usual tactic. He usually just makes stupid
assessments that the smarter folk laugh AT him about.
---
Not to make light of the Hudson Family Foundation's generosity, but funding
"to help educate, train and equip college students to make a tangible impact in
the nonprofit segment of our community." makes my eyebrow rise. Wouldn't the
money be better used to promote students impact in the "for profit" segment of
the community?
---
L-E headline: "Jerry Sandusky's lawyers argue for new trial" -- If they
want one so the judge can hand out the death penaly, OK, BUT otherwise, throw
the leeches in the pokey with Sandusky.
---
L-E headline: "MLB to expand blood testing for HGH" -- OK.... but what
would be more effective would be for MLB to expand PENATIES for all illegal or
banned substances!
---
L-E headline: "FDA requires lower doses for sleep medicines" -- Drug
companies must have camped out on the FDA steps and begged it NOT tro throw them
into 'dat dare briarpatch". Now the drug companies can cut back actual costs,
but advertise their products as "New, Improved, and Safer" and at a higher
price. EWelcome in the era of HELL-thScare!

I wonder if it's more than just coincidence that the IRS is not accepting 2012 tax returns until the day Tim "Turbo-Tax" Geithner leaves office?
---
I wonder if it's more than just coincidence that the IRS is not accepting 2012 tax returns until the day Tim "Turbo-Tax" Geithner leaves office?
---
L-E story: "Washington -- Weekly applications for U.S. unemployment
benefits ticked up slightly last week, the latest sign of slow but consistent
gains inn the job market." -- Huh? How can any up-tick in the unemployment
applications be considered any kind of 'gain' in the job market?
