Watching the footage of the methodical search for the # 2 bomber (how appropriate is it that he will be remembered as "# 2"), I'm amazed and confused at the number of Police and National Guardsmen being used. One view Friday morning showed hundreds of police, FBI, and Guardsmen surrounding a house, guns drawn by multiple lines of defense as a couple was escorted out of the house. If someone had yelled, "Fire", I think most would have been killed by friendly fire.

An article in today's L-E correlates the incidents of school paddlings and the poverty level. Another element needs to be discussed as well..... parenting.
