The DOW is soaring, but don't let that distract you. Money is pouring in as investment funds shuffle money in to stocks from bonds as the American and Japanese mints run overtime printing 'new' money. Bernanke won't stop the presses until unemployment hey 6% (though who knows how he will determine what 6% unemployment is) and the Japanese won't stop printing until their inflation rate hits 2%. It's a toss up as to whether the Japanese or American "balloon" will be the first to pop.

Anthony Weiner says he's going to run for Mayor of NYC. Mayor Bloom-ing-idiot-berg was deciding if a ban of certain sized deli sausages would stop him.

---

Apparently, 'someone' bugged Senator McConnell's campaign staff office and illegal taped a discussion of Ashley Judd after she discussed potentially running against McConnell (she changed her mind after 'googling" herself and finding out what a flake she actually is). You have wonder if McConnell-gate is an intentional distraction for Benghazi-gate. Where is the mainstream media outrage for illegal wiretapping that it exhibited over Nixon's Watergate scandal or Bush 43's Patriot Act directives? Where are the subpoenas for Mother Earth's executives and reporters?

The student who stabbed 14 others at a college in Texas is being described by his childhood neighbors as "a nice kid". Guess Sen. Diane Fienstein will introduce a new law outlawing "nice kids".

In anticipation of the next Congressional DUMBERat assault on weapons, art students surged into Michaels and depleted the "Exacto" stock.

I know this is not about the Masters, but watching a former NFL player involved in a suit against the NFL, I can't let this slide. Any NFLer who can honestly say he had no idea of the relationship of body collisions and injuries is lying.

L-E story: "McKoon also criticized Senior and other board members who are to take a trip to San Diego this weekend for the National School Boards Association conference, which he called a poor spending choice in light of other district needs." -- Whoa! Members of our school board are going to California to learn about economic and educational efficiency? Of all places to discuss such, California is obviously the worst choice, though Chicago and New York and Washington, DC would give California a good race.

L-E headline: "Obama budget: Spending cuts, higher smokers’ taxes" -- "higher smoker's taxes" will solve the budget deficit? What's Judas 00-bama trying to do... justify his own smoking as a way he can contribute to the economy, or using a higher tax as an incentive to quit? Just "quitting" is the way to stop smoking AND spending.

I'm mystified.. Gas around Columbus seems to be ranging from about $3.46 to $3.55 +/-, but this past weekend, I bought gas in Dothan (Shell, at that) on the way back from Florida for $3.33. I guess this is what happens when one company owns over half the gas outlets in town. Senator McKoon... surely there's an ethics question you can ask...

Speaking of Florida, here's a trick question: What is my bride holding in her hand?

Wrong! It's not a chicken wing... it's a fried crab claw at Harry T's! A little pricey at 11 for $20.00 bucks, but delicious and came with an outstanding waterfront view.

Why is Social Security under attack as a government entitlement program? If you're talking about payments made to illegals or even under the SSI programs you're talking about a totally different program than the one people pay into for their retirement years.

---

I do not get this... Why are certain Congresspeople so fired up about extended background checks to keep mentally ill and felony convicted people from being able to buy guns? Let's face it, the number of incidents involving mass killers using legally acquired guns is minimal. Congress should be demanding the courts sentence people who have stolen guns, possessed stolen/illegally acquired guns, or used stolen/illegally acquired guns to "life ending" terms, whether by execution or lifetime sentences without parole or appeal.

You know, if you took all the money used to produce and run charity ads to raise funds to feed, to heal, to raise children, there would be plenty of money to accomplish all those things without raising more.

---

I can remember when $4,141.00 would buy you a brand new tricked-out 1967 GTO with a 400HO engine. Now $4,000.00 might get you into a "Cash for Clunkers" candidate.

---

L-E story: "WASHINGTON — The U.S. federal budget deficit grew more slowly in March than the previous month, keeping the annual spending shortfall on pace to finish below $1 trillion for the first time in five years. " -- Hmmm, 'the sequester' is working!

---

I'm looking forward to seeing "42". I just hope the writers/director have not injected made-up situations like the writer/director of "Glory Road".
