Online story: "CENTENNIAL, Colo. — A psychiatrist who treated James Holmes told campus police a month before the Colorado theater attack that Holmes had homicidal thoughts and was a danger to the public, according to documents released Thursday. * Dr. Lynne Fenton, a psychiatrist at the University of Colorado, Denver, told police in June that the shooting suspect also threatened and intimidated her." -- So much for extended background checks.... besides, the first time someone is outed by a psychiatrist, the courts will toss the case based on 'profiling' and/or you can't arrest someone until he/she actually commits a crime. From another aspect, how many women would be spared domestic abuse/death if the police could arrest an estranged/divorced spouse BEFORE he injures/kills her?

Online story: " President Barack Obama cozied up to California Attorney General Kamala Harris on Thursday, during a speech at a Democratic National Committee fundraising lunch in Atherton, Calif. * "She’s brilliant and she’s dedicated, she’s tough," Obama said. "She also happens to be, by far, the best-looking attorney general ... It’s true! C’mon." * The crowd reportedly laughed at Obama's effusive praise." -- Can you imagine the outrage of the mainstream Media and N.O.W if ANY Republican politician made the same remark? This is in the same category of the 'pass' Biden got when he described 00-bama as " “I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy,” he said. “I mean, that’s a storybook, man.” The media basically yawned then, too.

---

Just hinking about Judas 00-bama converting his campaign site into "Organizing for Action" really puzzles me. It's a 501 (c) 4 charity which means it cannot donate money to political candidates or parties, so what is his agenda? I can only guess he wants to accumulate as much money as he can for post-presidential activities after 2016.

---

Whatta conman.... Judas 00-bama endeared himself to the mainstream media with his token return of $20,000.00 in salary then hopped on the $180,000.00 per hour Air Force 1 jet and flew off to a political fund raiser.

---

Hmmm, 1st time unemployment applicants number is back at 385,000. As Mel Allen might respond at seeing the 1st time unemployment applicant back at seasonal highs, "Well, how about that".

---

Since we Republicans have a ruling majority in the House, it would behoove the Republicans to abandon Mark Sanford in the SC special election to replace now Senator Scott. Giving the mainstream media and DC such political fodder this close to the 2014 races is a page out of the DNC's political handbook.

A school in Ohio was sued by 5 students' parents to take down a long ago hung picture of Jesus. The school took it down as to keep from pouring more resources into legal costs. Did that alter the plaintiffs lawyer actions... no way. The lawyer came on TV to say he wouldn't slow down until there's a permanent agreement. He said it didn't matter that he represented so few , and the minority needs protection. Hmmm, let's agree with him... based on that contention, the minority who voted against Judas 00-bama need our rights protected as well, and let's get the Supreme Court to overrule HELL-thScare, TARP, and the 2008 & 2012 elections on the same basis.

---

What is it with Courts that they now side with fringe minority opinions against what the majority has voted on? Recognizing the needs of the minority opinions be recognized is the American way, BUT nowhere in the Constitution does it say the opinions of the minority rule over the majority interests .

---

Using the ACLU's argument that no law is Constitutional if even 1 person claims it goes against his rights, then the expanded background check bills are void for checking out anybody's known criminal and/or mental disabilities. That would be profiling as well.

Online story: ""Could a father not marry his son?" Irons asked HuffPost Live host Josh Zepps. * Jeremy Irons argued that "it's not incest between men" because "incest is there to protect us from inbreeding, but men don't breed," and wondered whether same-sex marriage might allow fathers to pass on their estates to their sons without being taxed. * "It seems to me that now they're fighting for the name," Irons said of advocates for same-sex marriage as opposed to civil unions. "I worry that it means somehow we debase, or we change, what marriage is. I just worry about that." -- Hmmm, tax... uh, "investment" avoidance. That could sway Judas 00-bama, or at least twist his head off his neck looking back.

From the 'it's not one world' department - Online story: "A court in Saudi Arabia has sentenced a man to be medically paralyzed unless he can raise 1 million Saudi Riyal (almost $267,000) to pay a man he stabbed in the back. * When he was 14, Ali al-Khawahir stabbed his friend in the back, paralyzing the victim. The assault earned al-Khawahir a spot in jail -- a spot he's occupied for the last 10 years, the Saudi Gazette reports. Now 24, al-Khawahir either has to pay the victim for forgiveness or have his spinal cord cut, as eye-for-an-eye justice." -- Sometimes, the blind pig finds an acorn. This sentence just took sharia law out of favor for DUMBERats as it would surely dry up all donations from the Trial Lawyers Association. There's not an American lawyer who would go to court on a personal injury case that would only get chump change as a trial result.

Online story: "PHILADELPHIA — A former clinic worker testified Thursday that he routinely saw babies born alive and then killed with scissors at an inner-city Philadelphia clinic that catered to minorities, the poor and women with late-term pregnancies. * "I believe that Dr. Gosnell was honestly trying to help women and protect them from abuse and neglect," Stephen Massof, a prosecution witness, said on cross-examination." -- He believed the doctor "was honestly trying to help women"? Massof may claim that, but what he means is he had convinced HIMSELF of that to justify staying at work there.

---

Online headline/story: "Fast Food Workers Strike In New York City * Stephen Warner works part-time at a McDonald's in New York City, earning the legal minimum wage of $7.25 per hour. He hasn't seen a pay bump since he started six months ago. " -- Hmmm, I'd say he hasn't done anything at work that has impressed the manager where he works that he's made an effort to demonstrate he worth rewarding so he'll stay working for him. He obviously has no gratitude that McDonald's gave him an opportunity to show what he's capable of doing.

---

Online headline: "University Of Rhode Island Lockdown Lifted After No Gunman Found On Campus" -- Now we're going to get unfounded responses like this any time the gas driven Security Guard carts backfire.

---

Online headline: "Obama to Offer Budget Cuts in Latest Deal, Official Says" -- Budget cuts? What we need are "spending cuts"!

---

HuffPost headline: "AOL Readers' Secret for Buying Electric Cars: Don't!" -- Don't you love it when liberals eat their own?

---

Speaking of Judas 00-bama's agenda.... what's the latest on all those green energy loans to solar panel and electric car makers that have collapsed or become defunct?

---

L-E headline: "1974 MURDER CASE * KILLER WANTS CONVICTION OVERTURNED" -- What convicted killer doesn't want this? The real question is why is this the lead front page story?

---

L-E headline/story: "Cab program kicks off tonight downtown * “Grab a Bud, Grab a Cab,” a new program that encourages people to party responsibly in downtown Columbus. It begins tonight and runs through Dec. 31. * These cab rides aren’t free," -- Hmmm... now the big questions... How many drinkers who are still able to walk/totter are going to opt to pay for a cab ride home, have to leave their vehicles overnight, get up bright-eyed/bushy-tailed enough to want to call/pay for another cab back downtown to pick up their cars if they still remember where they parked them?

---

Hey, John Turner, was building a cement pond in the Chattahoochee your original plan when you first proposed your idea of "restoring" the Chattahoochee?

---

L-E's "Thought for Today": “If you don’t have time to do it right, when will you have time to do it over?” — John Wooden, basketball Hall of Famer (1910-2010)." -- Hmmm, this is the question that should have been asked Judas 00-bama during the 2012 debate series. If it weren't for Wooden being dead and in California, I'd feel pretty good that Wooden would not have voted for 00-bama's re-election, but like I said, Wooden is dead and lived in California so all bets are off.

Random thought: Why are coffee maker's allowed to "lie" without FDA challenges? My bride and I are lucky to get 2 cups each out of a '12 cup' coffee pot.

---

With Kim Jong Un II's announcement of reopening a plutonium reactor, why is that facility still standing?

---

L-E story: " COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Gov. John Hickenlooper on Thursday announced an audit to ensure the state’s prisoners are serving their correct sentences, two weeks after a parolee who was mistakenly released four years early was identified as a suspect in the killing of Colorado’s prisons chief. " -- Since so many prisoners have already be released with the ecuse of budgetary problems, is this sorta like closing the barn door after the cows have left?

---

L-E story: " Anderson was charged with obstruction of law enforcement officers, possession of cocaine, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, concealing license plate, driving while license is suspended, possession of marijuana and improper lane change." -- Once again, a charge of "driving while license suspended" rears up. Why aren't people who get their licenses suspended required to have their vehicles impounded (better yet, "booted" in their driveways), until the suspension is over?

---

L-E story: "Consolidated Government leaders on Thursday introduced the physician who has been chosen for the city’s new Employee Health and Wellness Center." -- "The" physician? Guess City employees will be returning back to hospital emergency rooms pretty soon after the clinic opens because the 'wait time' will be shorter than at the City Clinic.
