Tiger Thoughts:

I admire Tiger Woods but if I were in attendance in Augusta, I'd turn my back on him. As it is, I just switched stations whenever he was being shown.

---

Listening to CBS's lead in show to yesterday's Masters broadcast with its heavy reliance on Tiger's commentary and participation in the Master's, offer's no doubt as what controlled the Masters' decision.

---

The defense the Committee is using that it made a decision while Tiger was playing on 18 lost credibility when it didn't it report to anyone at the time that it had reviewed it.

---

We're going to have to really find out where Judas 00-bama was overnight. He had a guest host sit in for his Saturday AM propaganda session so where was he. Perhaps he was in Augusta issuing an Executive Order to overrule his golfing buddy from being DQ'd.

---

The Masters' damage control person, Fred Ridley, must have had an earphone to get words from master spinmeisterJay Carney on what words to say in trying to spin why Tiger wasn't DQ'd. People in his position, as he demonstrated in other aspects, are much better speakers than the stuttering response he made trying to warrant the Committee's decisions.

---

Not withdrawing will do nothing to build, rebuild, Tiger's image. He may never shake the image of being a cheater on his wife and family, but being even hinted at cheating in golf will stick with him forever.

---

Tiger should have taken the penalty situation and voluntarily withdrawn. Even if were to shoot lights out and win by one stroke, he would never get it out of his mind that there would always an invisible asterisk by his name. If he gets the 19th major, historians would be skeptical unless he could get even a 20th major. Barry Bonds Home Run record will always looked at with a squinted eye. On the other hand, Hank Aaron beating Ruth's record will not.

---

In1968, Roberto Due Vicenzo signed an incorrect Masters scorecard. The rules said if you sign a card with a higher score than you made, you had to take that score as correct. It also says if you sign a card with a score lower than you actually made, then you are disqualified .Tiger Woods just got a 2 stoke penalty added to the score for an improper ball drop. The rules say his card was properly signed with a lower score. The penalty says that is a DQ. I have read Rule 33 of the USGA, and I do not see where "the Committee" could overrule the USGA rules.

Online story: "Senate Democrats are holding up a resolution to honor former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, who died on Monday at age 87, a Heritage Foundation affiliate reports. * The resolution was to pass late Wednesday in the Democratic-controlled upper chamber, said Katherine Rosario of Heritage Action for America. * Meanwhile, the GOP-controlled House of Representatives on Tuesday unanimously passed a resolution honoring Thatcher" -- Have been sitting on this a couple of days to give the DUMBERats an opportunity to progress, but I cannot find where they have. I hope the Queen returns the DVD's, and the I-pod full of Judas 00-bama speeches he sent her as a gift.

Low-info voter's L-E "soundoff": "More children were killed at Newtown than we have actual cases of voter fraud every election." -- As Reagan would say, "Well, there you go again,"...The only truth here is that the L-E should be ashamed of selecting this outright misrepresentation of fact, and senseless analogy for publication.

---

Maryland is initiating a "rain tax". You heard me, a "rain tax" by taxing so-called “impervious surfaces,” anything that prevents rain water from seeping into the earth (roofs, driveways, patios, sidewalks, etc.) thereby causing stormwater run off. *" Fees will be calculated on the surface area of properties as the theory is that roofs, driveways and carparks create more potential for drainage problems and water contamination" -- "Rain" tax? Sounds a lot more like a "Reign" tax. BTW, how are they going to assess the 'rain tax' on public/government buildings and such?

L-E story: "ATLANTA — Georgia is moving forward with a plan to standardize annual evaluations for teachers and principals based, in part, on student performance. " -- ARRGGGHHHH!!!!! Bet the Atlanta teachers who got fired for cheating on their students performance will get consulting jobs out-the-anos to teach other teachers how to get raises.

---

The Columbus L-E has a lot of figures on the housing market in the area... a lot... but mostly useless figures that indicate that the housing market is still floundering. Maybe Mayor Obamalinson will issue a 'price freeze' at 2010 levels so the 'tax freeze' prices want reduce property tax revenues.

---

Dusty Nix's disdain for the boring names of public buildings/facilities is shared by me as well, but Dusty has been partially responsible as a longtime associate of the L-E. The L-E has been a joint partner of the politicians in creating the aura of political correctness on any issue that should be discussed openly.

L-E editorial: "Georgia already has one of the most successful and widely emulated pre-kindergarten programs in the country. Funded with income from lottery sales, it regularly receives the highest possible ratings in every benchmark of quality. Amid all the distressing news about Georgia’s shortcomings in education, pre-K is something at which this state is measurably and demonstrably excellent. " -- "Successful"? By what standards? Our Bible and our logic tell us that if we build something on a solid foundation, whether our faith, our homes, or our education on a foundation of rock, rather than sand, our lives will be solid as well. What is solid about GA's pre-K progarm that gets solid results for the children as they progress up the line of education. Surely test results do not confirm this.

L-E story: "LONDON — Hundreds of opponents of former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher partied in London’s Trafalgar Square to celebrate her death, sipping Champagne and chanting “Ding Dong! The Witch is Dead.” * We’ve been waiting a long time for this,” Richard Wat-son, a 45-year-old from eastern England wearing a party hat, said. “It’s an opportunity of a lifetime.” -- Typical liberal, socialist, union "crap". The guy was 22 when Margaret Thatcher stepped down, and probably had no clue to where he'd be today if Margaret Thatcher had no saved the British economy from its downward spiral in the late 70's.
