HuffPost headline/story: "Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie Ousted By Sen. David
Ige In Primary * Abercrombie, who has spent nearly 40 years in Hawaii politics,
is the first Hawaii governor to lose to a primary challenger (66% to 31%) * His
defeat comes after President Barack Obama last month urged residents of his
native state to back Abercrombie, invoking the Hawaiian word for family in a
radio ad, saying Abercrombie is "like ohana to me. * Abercrombie tore through
$4.9 million through July 25 compared with Ige's $447,000" -- "like ohana to
me"? Looks like the Democrats of Hawaii backlashed at what they heard as "like
obama to me".
---
In the Hawaiian Democrat Senate race, Abercrombie appointed interim Senator
Schatz held a slim lead over Factless Shrugged's preferred Hanabusa with a
couple of precincts still left to count. Schatz better be on top of things as
it's rumored that one of those precincts was from Chicago.
---
No wonder Factless Shrugged, according to the HuffPost account, "fled
Washington" to Martha's Vinyard.. He wanted to be able to say he "knows
nothing" about his guy getting creamed in Hawaii because he gets no newspaper
delivery on Martha's Vinyard.

Online story: "A day of anger over a fatal police shooting of an unarmed
black man in suburban St. Louis turned to mayhem as people looted businesses,
vandalized vehicles and confronted police who sought to block off access to
several areas of the city. * The tensions erupted after a candlelight vigil
Sunday night for 18-year-old Michael Brown, who police said was shot multiple
times the previous afternoon after a scuffle involving the officer, Brown and
another person in Ferguson, a predominantly black suburb of the
city.
Afterward, a convenience store was looted. Several other stores along a main road near the shooting scene were broken into, including a check-cashing store, a boutique and a small grocery store. People also took items from a sporting goods store and a cellphone retailer, and carted rims away from a tire store." -- What a great tribute to honor the dead.. looting his neighborhood vendors. Like I contend.. it's a cultural decay.

The PGA Championship.. Wow! what excitement.. what GOLF! Tiger who?

Rory McIlroy is under contract to Nike as is Tiger Woods. They both wear
Nike clothing. This tournament, I think Nike sent McIlroy clothing designed for
the bowling department.

85 years ago today, Babe Ruth hit his 500th home run.. the first to ever do
so. He went on to become the first to hit 600 and 700 as well. All without
asterisks and all without PEDs.

Online story: "New Jersey is about to do something about other states
billing New Jersey car owners for speeding tickets that are generated by
automatic cameras. Lawmakers in the Garden State have introduced a bill
that will stop New Jersey's Motor Vehicles Commission from providing
license-plate numbers or other identifying information to another state or an
interstate information network for the purpose of doling out a fine" -- Of
course, Governor Christie could also just shut down a bridge or two.
---
Online story: "Former secretary of state and potential 2016 presidential
candidate Hillary Clinton had sharp words for President Barack Obama's foreign
policy in an interview with The Atlantic's Jeffrey Goldberg, dismissing the
president's "don't do stupid sh*t" foreign policy approach for not being "an
organizing principle" worthy of "great nations." -- Hmmm.. a catchy new acronym
for political disaster - "2D2S" (DDSS). Of course it could also stand for "Dumb
&Dumber, Samo Sh*t". While Hillsbury DOUGHgirl wants to blame the head chef,
she was the caterer, and delivered the sh*t.

Democrats lock in one issue voters by demonizing corporations as the reason
jobs aren't staying in America. The Republicans should go out with promises to
make better laws that will make it more profitable for corporations to bring
those jobs back for American workers. When the mainstream media attacks this
plan based on it's "a tax break for corporations", the Republicans should
counter with, "the taxes are already being avoided by the corporations moving
headquarters and jobs overseas; our plan will make corporations want to come
back and bring the jobs with them".

I'm curious...what is the update on Mayor Obamalinson's "Committee to end
homelessness in 10 years"? You know, the 10 years sorta corresponds with her
plan to get people to Atlanta by her high speed rails.
---
Former RINO Gov. Charlie Crist is running again in Florida.. this time as a
Democrat. By Factless Shrugged standards, Crist is a perfect Democrat
candidate.. he stands on both sides of the red line drawn in the sand.

Online story: "A New Jersey teacher said he was charged nearly $9,000 after
he showed a cut middle finger to a hospital emergency room aide. * Baer
Hanusz-Rajkowski said he went to the Bayonne Medical Center last August after he
cut his finger with a hammer and thought he needed stitches. He didn’t. Instead
he was sent home after he got a tetanus shot from a nurse practitioner who also
sterilized the cut, applied some antibacterial ointment to it, and put a bandage
on it.
Then he got the bill: $8,200 for the emergency room visit, $180 for the
shot, $242 for the bandage and $8 for the ointment, plus hundreds of dollars for
the nurse practitioner. * "I got a Band-Aid and a tetanus shot. How could it be
$9,000?" -- Though the total bill I got from a similar situation in 2003, I
"only" had to pat $293.00 for a butterfly strip and a bandage. Of course, I was
up-to-date on my tetanus booster, and after "talking" with the hospital
management, they were happy with just getting $293.00 for the bandage. I reckon
so..

CBS is starting the 2016 election bias season early. CBS had scheduled a
show called "Madame Secretary" about a fictional, womanly Secretary of State..
Looks like John Karney is trying to wrap-up the transgender vote for another run
at the Oval Office.
---
Online story: "South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham sounded the alarm Sunday
about the growing threat of an Islamic State attacking on American soil, unless
President Obama takes more decisive action to stop the terror group’s surge
across Iraq and Syria" -- Will someone stick a sock in Lindsey Graham's mouth
until after the November election? Nothing comes out of his mouth but political
fodder for Democrat ads against Republicans in general.
---
Online story: "A state Democratic convention is a natural venue for
Republican-bashing, and a slate of statewide candidates has been doing just
that." -- Hmmm ... "a natural venue for Republican-bashing".. hmmm, sort like
the news of mainstream media?
---
Online story: "The Democratic Party of Georgia has announced its selections
for the leaders of the state party's coordinated campaign. * Tracey Lewis,
former strategic adviser for Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, has been
chosen to serve as the campaign's executive director. Lewis has also worked with
the Alliance for Climate Protection and has held leadership positions in several
other campaigns and voter outreach initiatives." -- Hmm.. "strategic advisor for
Elizabeth Warren" and "climate change advocate"? Advertising this and the
Carter-Nunn connection with their Hamas outreach program is all the Republicans
need to advertise.

L-E headline/story: "JUDGE DENIES MISTRIAL OVER BANDAGED CODEFENDENT * For
a second day a codefendant testifying for the prosecution in the murderand
racketeering trial of Daphene and Jamal Castille and Dantrell Marshall took the
witness stand with a bandage on the left side of his face. * And defense
attorneys were not pleased with that. * (Attorney) Suellen F*******, who
represents Jamal Castille, asked Judge William Rumer for a mistrial, recalling
that Terrell Mars told the jury Saturday he had been attacked by two Muscogee
County jail inmates belonging to a gang called the Gangster Disciples." -- Wait
a minute.. this may be a cause for an appeal.. Mayor Obamalinson protested that
we don't have gangs in Columbus when she was running for re-election, so how
could this be?
---
"Gets it" L-E "soundoff": " That’s just fabulous. The city is going to get
two percent for each zip line ride. It’s time to start looking for a new
council." -- Hey, and don't forget Columbus taxpayers get to build and maintain
the property, and patrol the property and cleaning up our $244K bathroom. Whatta
deal!
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "We never used illegal aliens for doing work
Americans (some of whose forefathers were illegal) didn’t want to do? How about
the Chinese and Irish who built the transcontinental railroad? And migrant
workers who stay?" -- Excuse me... the illegal aliens issue is not about jobs or
whether Americans want or not want to do.. It's about an invasion of illegal
aliens and an unsecured border.
---
L-E's "Thought for Today": “Neither in the life of the individual nor in
that of mankind is it desirable to know the future.” — Jakob Burckhardt, Swiss
historian (1818-1897). -- Hmmm.. He must have been a disciple of Nostradamus ,
and foresaw Factless Shrugged and was trying to prepare us for his pillage of
the Constitution.
---
From L-E's "Today in history" feature: " In 2001, Timothy McVeigh, 33, was
executed by injection at the federal prison in Terre Haute, Indiana, for the
1995 Oklahoma City bombing that killed 168 people." -- Hmmm only 6 years to
execute him and no liberal protestors about the death sentence. Now, if we can
get that time frame down to two years or less it would be perfect.
---
L-E headline: "(Angelina) JOLIE AND U.K.’S HAGUE HOST SEXUAL VIOLENCE
SUMMIT" -- Now if we could get Jolie to speak out about violence and sex in her
own movies.
---
In the Spring, Mayor Obamalinson was gung-ho on her roundabout plans at
River Road/Bradley Park/Cascade/ Green Island Drive. She stated the project
would begin soon after the May elections. The purpose was to alleviate (which
will not happen) morning school traffic. Well, here it is in August, and
school's started. How will school traffic be alleviated now that there is school
traffic that will have to be "detoured/rerouted" and which also means there will
be only 1 exit access from Green Island Hills area to River Road fro the
construction time. Ironically, that will throw even more school traffic onto
River Road.

L-E's "Looking back | Fifty years ago today, August 11, 1964 * Atlanta Cafe
Defies Court Mixing Order
* Lester Maddox, operator of a segregated restaurant, continued resistance to federal court orders today with the declaration that “we are not going to ever integrate." -- Hmmm. the same Lester Maddox who won the Democratic Party Primary and became governor after the Democrats in the GA House of Representatives voted him in despite the Georgia voters' stated desire for Republican Bo Callaway win.

You know, since Columbus invoked a law requiring all
boaters/rafters/swimmers et al wear PDFs in the Chattahoochee, why are tickets
given out for triathlon swimmers?
