Online story: "After James Foley was apparently beheaded, the White House issued a statement on the matter. It was attributed to NSC spokesperson Caitlin Hayden. * “We have seen a video that purports to be the murder of US citizen James Foley by ISIL. The intelligence community is working as quickly as possible to determine its authenticity. If genuine, we are appalled by the brutal murder of an innocent American journalist and we express our deepest condolences to his family and friends. We will provide more information when it is available,” the statement reads." -- "If genuine, we are appalled"? Good grief.. who does the White House think produced the video.. the Special Effects department of James Tarrantino? For that matter, we can't even be sure that the "we" at the White House who might be "appalled" even include Obamageddon!

---
Comment about above: You know... that response is pathetic!........ Pathetic in that with the track record of ISIS/ISIL, the White House and mainstream media exercises caution in reporting and responding to it, yet... both the White House and mainstream media treat every rumor, every hearsay report by unverified "witnesses", as evidence to convict a police officer... no, convict the white portion of a community, with a lynch mob mentality.

Oh.. yesterday, I wrote that when Missouri Governor Nixon lifted the curfew Monday night/Tuesday AM, that their were 31 arrests.. I apologize.. later if was confirmed there had been 2 shootings and 78 arrests. To be fair, most of those arrested were not from Ferguson, which makes me believe the Governor should cordon off Ferguson from people who have no business or reason to actually be there.
---
There was another police/black man shooting death in N. St. Louis just three miles from Ferguson. This time police had caught another robber, and when confronted, the robber, excuse me, the "alleged" robber pulled a knife out and assumed a menacing stance, then started approaching the police while taunting them. He ignored all police warning to stop, and when he got within striking zone of the police, both shot him. Mainstream media quickly got "witnesses" to comment. One said the police could have tasered him instead. Excuse me, but when a criminal is obviously and menacingly armed, police do not pull out their tasers.

---
Online headline: "FERGUSON TURMOIL: Gov calls for 'vigorous prosecution' of shooting" -- What lynch mob mentality! Let there at least be a thorough investigation, and court trial rather than a media one.

---
You know.. it's an absolute shame when the Missouri Governor, and the Attorney General and President of the US, three men with power to lead and heal, cause more racial pot-stirring than Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson.

---
Online story: "Negotiators worked late into the night in an effort to persuade two men barricaded in a home in the southern Chicago suburb of Harvey to end their standoff with police and release the last of six children and two adults they took hostage. * Authorities say the two men took the captives after Harvey police responded to a call of a burglary in progress at a home about 12:50 p.m. Tuesday. There was an exchange of gunfire that left two officers wounded." -- Guess Obamageddon doesn't feel that he needs to send in the DOJ since it's only police officers who have been shot.

---
Online story: ""Here, in the United States of America, police should not be bullying or arresting journalists who are just trying to do their jobs and report to the American people on what they see on the ground." * That was President Obama the day after two journalists were arrested while covering protests in Ferguson, Missouri * Also Monday, two reporters working for a German newspaper were arrested. One of them, a veteran who has reported from Gaza, Iraq and China, said Ferguson was the first place he'd been arrested and "treated rudely by the police." * a reporter for The Telegraph was arrested Sunday along with reporters from Sports Illustrated and Financial Times. They were all released less than ten minutes later." -- Excuse me but why are reporters from Germany, or representing Sports Illustrated & the Financial Times even in Ferguson, MO? It sounds to me that the reporters are more interested in BEING the news than reporting the facts.

---
HuffPost headline/story: "Hillary Clinton Is Everywhere, But Still Nowhere To Be Found On Ferguson * Clinton hasn't said a word about protests in Ferguson, Missouri, following the Aug. 9 shooting of Michael Brown, an unarmed black teenager, by a police officer." -- First, how long is mainstream media going to persist in imaging an 18-year-old, 6'4", 292 pound man as a "teen"? Secondly, the Hillsbury DOUGHgirl is not going to Ferguson, and there are no reporters where she is... wherever that is, politically or geographically, at the moment.

California....the Legislature that won't give farmers water because snail darters and smelt might be disturbed from their habitats, is now trying to cut off people from another food source.. fast food restaurants. A law has passed one Democratic Party controlled chamber and going to the other that will effectively sever quality control procedures for franchisees of major. The new law pretty much castrates McDonald's, BK, et al from making sure the franchisees keep the standards of the corporate menus at a level that the nationwide public expects when it goes into one of those franchise stores everywhere in the country.

---
Mainstream media used to rail against former NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly. MSM whined about "stop & frisk", whined about Kelly's Zuccotti Parl/Occupy Wall Street policies, whined about Kelly's spyng on Muslims, and about the three unarmed black men who died under Kelly's regime. Yet yesterday, Ray Kelly made a statement that "police in Ferguson, Missouri, have gone way too far". Ray Kelly is now a mainstream media darling.

HuffPost chart info:

In 2010, 45% of child gun deaths in the US were black; 46% of gun injuries were among black children and teens, but black kids make up on 15% of all children and teens.

In 2011, 46% of all homicides of children and teens were black males between the age of 15-to-19.

What the HuffPost doesn't include nor infer is "why"... the why is pretty obvious.. illegal guns, and cultural decay in the inner city black communities.

Online story: "An ObamaCare tax on medical devices is falling short of its revenue target because thousands of companies aren't paying it, according to a government audit released Tuesday. * The audit by the Treasury inspector general for tax administration says the IRS needs to do a better job policing the tax. The tax agency, however, doesn't have adequate tools to identify which companies owe it, the audit said. * The report could add fuel to efforts to repeal the tax, which is opposed by Republicans and many Democrats." -- Not sure what to do with info as I'm sure this is just a beginning of a fight, but have you noticed the dwindling number of "indoor tanning salons" around the Cilumbus (and I'm sure elsewhere as well)? With 8% local/state sales taxes added on to a 10% federal discrimination tax on users, owners are less able to keep their doors open.
---
Headline that wasn't: ... "minority teen skateboarder brutally attacks unarmed Park Ranger in Philadelphia park" -- Hmmm, and where are the reporters...Ferguson, MO?
---
Online story: "Johnny Manziel raised his middle finger toward the Washington Redskins bench as he returned to the huddle late in the third quarter. It was one of the few times a Cleveland Browns quarterback actually found his intended target." -- Well, the limelight does capture the essence of a man's character, but on the other hand, it's nice to see a reporter who has a sharp sense of humor to point out the real story.
---
Online headline: "American Federation of Teachers chief pledges $1M if Karen Lewis runs for mayor of Chicago" -- Hmmm... not much of a stretch nor even newsworthy.. it's ordinary Chicago politics...Karen Lewis is an American Chicago Public Schools teacher and labor leader, and the current president of the Chicago Teachers Union, local 1 of the American Federation of Teachers.
---
Those dry...contemplative ads for Liberty Mutual auto insurance.. have you noticed the "product placement" of our Statue of Liberty in the background. Question: Are "we" getting compensation for a private company using our symbol of Liberty?
---
What's going on with the FCC? Now there are ads about sex needn't be painful after menopause..just take a pill. Good grief.. parents and grandparents are trying to curtail their children/grandchildren's natural sex curiosities, and here comes a pill-pusher telling the children that old people still do it!
---
L-E headline: "Police: Goldens' Foundry employee tries to steal $6,000 in nickel" -- Good grief.. One man gives another man a job, an opportunity, and that man still wants to steal from that man. There's just another cultural disconnect....another major cultural disconnect.
---
L-E headline/story: "Walmart to open ‘care clinic’ in Whittlesey Boulevard supercenter * Using the slogan, “Quality healthcare doesn’t have to cost a fortune,” Walmart says it will charge a flat $40 for visits — $4 for covered Walmart employees and family members — with extra fees for lab tests, immunizations and other services" -- Sounds like a better deal than what Mayor Obamalinson has put our City employees on.
---
Online "headlie": "Republican snubs Mexican prez for holding U.S. Marine" -- You know.. the real headline is that California Governor "Moonbeam" Brown has schedule a luncheon at the Governor's Mansion to honor the Mexican President. Republican politicos just do not think that's appropriate.. and they are correct!
---
You know... after reading how so many political candidates, especially Democrats, are relying on mostly other people's money just to get elected, maybe we do need some campaign finance changes. The more they become accustomed to spending other people's money just to get elected, the more probable the elected politicians will enjoy spending other people's money on entitlements.
---
Yesteday, we read about 15 in NYC, today we read: "The national media has been focused intently on the unrest going on in the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson, Missouri, this week, and some reports noted that two people were shot during the rioting over the weekend. However, during that same weekend 29 African Americans were wounded and 7 were killed in the all-too-common gang violence in Chicago." -- Hmm and that number didn't include the 9 that were shot on Thursday..Guess there were no white cops involved in Chicago...either that or all the victims were possibly armed so it wasn't a mainstream media worthy story.
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": " The video of the young man intimidating a store clerk and walking away with $50 in stolen merchandise was very sad. It’s the last thing he did in this life." -- No.. the last thing he did in his life was challenge the police officer's authority and orders.
---
L-E's "Today in History" feature: "In 1940, during World War II, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill paid tribute to the Royal Air Force before the House of Commons, saying, “Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few" -- No wonder Obamageddon wanted to get Churchill's bust out of the White House... Obamageddon didn't want to bring anymore attention to the National Debt he's piled on the shoulders of the working minority of American citizens.
---
L-E editorial comment: " It failed by the narrowest of margins once before, as a stand-alone item in a special election. Seven years later, Columbus decision makers in both public and private realms think the TAD is worth another shot. * TAD is an acronym for Tax Allocation District — an incentive for developers to revitalize deteriorated neighborhoods, and a way for city governments to get tax money from areas that generated little or none before. Now in place in all 50 states and many other cities in Georgia, TADs have become a popular means of restoring blighted areas without raising taxes." -- "without raising taxes"? Good grief.. has Kool-Aid replaced coffee as the beverage of choice at the L-E? Putting a band-aid on declining property areas, doesn't stop the decline. It may slow it down so the citizens of a declining area (usually renters) are subjected to squalor that much longer (until the area bottoms out on it's own and developers see at light at the end of the tunnel).
---
From above editorial: "Obviously, such conditions do not make for substantial tax revenues. But once a TAD has been designated, then any increased revenue above what the designated district was generating before goes into a special fund which must be separate from the city’s general fund * That special fund could then be used for infrastructure improvements and other incentives for further development" -- "special fund"? So how are other property owners outside the TADs going to benefit? This just directs any tax receipt gains into basically a "slush fund" controlled by the sitting Mayor/Council, and will be used to do projects to get re-elected.
---
L-E headline: "PHENIX CITY BOARD OF EDUCATION * SCHOOL BOARD HIRES NEW ATTORNEY * Opelika’s Robert ‘Bob’ Meadows replaces Sydney Smith, who resigned 3 weeks ago" -- Good grief.. I'm not opposed to bidding jobs/contracts out, but shouldn't there be a control factor against hiring out-of-town, no local interest vendors to do Phenix City's work? I remember not to long ago that Cook County, ILL hired a new attorney that couldn't take the job until after he actually moved into Cook County. That should be a reasonable condition for local government jobs.
---
L-E headline: "U.S. preparing changes to no-fly list rules" -- Ooops, my bad.. thought maybe Delta and American might be grounded.
---
Russian officials are enraged over Bulgarians vandalizing Soviet-era monuments to look like superheroes and other Western characters. -- Hmmm, and yet Americans are sitting back when Marvel Comics has abnnounced it was going to transgender "Thor" into a woman.
