She knows that being street affluent in English will make a difference in their lives. What's sad is that I remember taking Spanish in high school and my teacher in Spanish II asked us to converse in Spanish in class, She was applauded for her techniques of making students become better bi-linguists. In today's academic chaos, she's probably would get fired, too.

Do you know what a 1098-T tax form is? What it is...is a bribe to buy student votes. From what I can decipher, it more or less provides a tax credit for the student "fees'' that are added on to every semesters' bills that are paid by parents or Student Loans, It can put a $2,000-$2,500 bucks (via tax refund) in students hands around Spring Break. Why are not the parents getting this, or why isn't this being paid to the Student Loan originators to reduce the students' loan debt? This is of interest as I just got through paying two different semester tuitions.. one had $1,100.00 in fees, and the other $900.00.. The $900.00 fee is especially egregious as this daughter is an online student, and doesn't even go to campus for which the fees are paying for her activities.
