Soapbox moment: This police/teen shooting in Missouri.. why is mainstream
media in such a hurry to crucify a police officer... outside a court? People who
step forward and voice their opinion, unsworn and unverified, are called
"witnesses" but in truth, they are "alleged witnesses". Think about how the
mainstream media treats other situations... you know, even if a "perpetrator"
has been videoed and confesses to a heinous crime, he/she is referred to as
"the alleged perpetrator" until he/she is convicted. Mainstream media is trying
to convict the police in the media. Justice will not... can not.. be served this
way.

HuffPost headline: "LAPD Shoots, Kills Black Man During 'Investigative
Stop' -- Here we go again.. is it more relevant that the LAPD shot a "black" man
, or that the LAPD shot " a man"?

HuffPost story: "As Francis became the first pope in 25 years to visit South Korea on Thursday * North Korea, made its presence felt by firing three short-range projectiles less than an hour before he arrive * It wasn't immediately clear what the projectiles were." -- Rumor has it that Ambassadors Dennis Rodman and Bill Clinton have assured Obamageddon that it was simply a "fireworks show" to celebrate the Pope's visit.

HuffPost headline: "Israeli tactic criticized" -- Good grief.. since when
is self-defense from genocidal jihadists considered a criticizable tactic?
---
HuffPost "headlie"/story: "Koko the gorilla mourns Robin Williams' death *
Robin Williams is being remembered for his acting talents, his comic genius -
and one moment we didn't see coming: the time he met Koko the gorilla. In 2001,
Williams met Koko, a female who, her caregiver says, can understand sign
language. * The GORILLA FOUNDATION also published a note saying Koko had seen
her team learn the news of Williams' passing, and by the end of the day, "Koko
became very somber, with her head bowed and her lip quivering." Basically, the
story of Koko mourning Williams is going viral" -- Good grief... I hope the
"Gorilla Foundation" gets stricken from every supporting charity donor's list!
The sanity of the Gorilla Foundation administrative staff comes into question.
Surely there is a government agency such as the DFCS for gorillas to go in and
evaluate the living conditions for poor Koko...
---
You know... sadly, Robin Williams' legacy of comedy will play second fiddle
to the circus mainstream media has made of his suicide. His legacy will never
Rest in Peace.

L-E story: " As she waited to welcome her students during last week’s
opening of Dorothy Height Elementary School, principal Tammy Anderson
proclaimed, “We’re going to be the premier elementary school in this district
and then in the state.” -- Hmm, and now we wait to see what devious new
regulation/rule is placed on her back to thwart her enthusiasm ... and
success.
HuffPost headline: "US troops reportedly return to Iraq * U.S. Marines and
special forces have landed in Iraq to help rescue thousands of trapped Yazidi
refugees, according to various reports" -- "reportedly return" and "special
forces have landed"? Good grief.. can't mainstream media put two consistent
statements together?
---
Online story: "President Barack Obama now says predecessor George W. Bush
and his administration were responsible for the 2011 withdrawal of American
troops from Iraq, according to The Washington Times. * Despite couching the
"full removal of U.S. forces from Iraq" as the White House’s having made good on
a 2008 Obama promise to do just that — it was a key talking point in his
campaign speeches — the president is now back-stepping, according to the Times"
-- The Washington Times is finally upset with it's personal choice? Hey.. it's
just one of the signs of the times for Obamageddon.. the sign that he carries
around that says, "Blame Bush".

L-e headline/"story": "MAYOR, SMYRE VISIT D.C. TO PITCH RAIL LINE PROJECT *
Next step for city is seeking grant to complete environmental study * The
consulting firm, HNTB Corp., conducted the study and developed three possible
rail proposals, which it estimated would cost from $1.3 to $3.9 billion dollars
over a 20-year span. * That study concluded that the most expensive of the
proposals, a rail line following the rights of way of Interstates 85 and 185 at
speeds from 150-220 mph, could be profitable in its first year of operation. *
“This isn’t just about going to Braves games,” Tomlinson said when the study was
released. “It’s literally about making Atlanta a bedroom community of Columbus
and Columbus a bedroom community of Atlanta.” -- Good grief.. where do we start!
1 - "city is seeking grant to complete environmental study" -- Wait a
minute.. she says the rails will follow the rights-of-way of I-185 & I-85.
Haven't those rights-of-way already been environmentally been studied/tested and
approved already?
2 - "The consulting firm, HNTB Corp., conducted the study and developed
three possible rail proposals, which it estimated would cost from $1.3 to $3.9
billion dollars over a 20-year span." -- First, it doesn't look like Mayor
Obamalinson's first "suggestion" that it will be operational by 2020 is even in
the ballgame, but you know as well as me, that even the lowest estimated cost of
$1.3 BILLION won't come in under the highest projection of $3.9 BILLION.
3 - "That study concluded that the most expensive of the proposals, a rail
line following the rights of way of Interstates 85 and 185 at speeds from
150-220 mph, could be profitable in its first year of operation." -- Whoa..
Mayor Obamalinson cannot name one government operation, even locally, that is
profitable. Every local " government" built/operated activity, whether public or
public-private partnership, is subsidized by tax dollars. The bike trails,
Whitewater, natatorium, South Commons, Civic Center, Bull Creek Golf Course,
RiverWalk, B.I.D./Uptown, the dog park, heck, she can't even balance the city
budget from projected revenues.
4 - "“It’s literally about making Atlanta a bedroom community of Columbus
and Columbus a bedroom community of Atlanta" -- It would be a lot cheaper to
just pay for Mayor Obamalinson to move to Atlanta. Of course, the high speed
rail system, if completed by her original 2020 date could have helped her
accomplish on project on time.. ending Homelessness in Columbus in 10 years..

HuffPost headline: "Whole Foods Market has begun selling rabbit meat in
select stores nationwide, and the move has rabbit advocates hopping mad." --
Good grief.. "rabbit advocates"? Where's the balance in this liberal purge? What
about the "rabbit ranchers" and their side of the story? According to a
University of Florida study, "Rabbit meat is an all white meat that is low in
fat, high in protein, relatively low in cholesterol, low in sodium, highly
palatable and easily digested. Rabbit has a higher percentage of protein and a
lower percentage of fat than chicken, turkey, beef, or pork. Not only is it a
rich source of unsaturated omega fatty acids but it a rich lean source of
protein that can be substituted for red meat and poultry in most recipes."

HuffPost headline: "Dog Is Elected Mayor Of A Minnesota Village" -- Hmmmm..
Democrat for sure, but we'll have to wait to tell if it's a "yellow dog" or
"blue dog" variety.
---
You know.. in order for the Republican Party to be competitive at
attracting enough supporters to win the presidency, some things are going to
have to change. based on the past 3 elections, the Republicans need to start
with fresh analysts and advisors. The issues that the Republican Party has
pushed to the front undermine the basic principles most voters can get
behind.

L-E story: " Ford Motor Co. and DTE Energy Co. plan to build a large solar
array at the automaker's world headquarters in suburban Detroit. * The companies
announced Thursday that the project, funded by Detroit-based DTE Energy, will
provide Ford employees in Dearborn with 360 covered parking spaces and 30
charging stations for plug-in electric vehicles." -- You know.. offering spots
for 30 recharge stations, even with two shifts a day says even Ford is not that
committed to primarily electric vehicles.
---
L-E story: "LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles Times reports that city officials
plan to introduce on Thursday a free public WiFi service at six parks, as well
as a mobile service request site." -- Hmmm.. now every druggie/loiterer in the
area will know where an abundant number of laptops/tablets/smart phones will be
congregating if they need to rip-off one for a quick fix.
---
Online headline: "ABC News Apologizes For Streaming Video Of Robin
Williams' Home" -- Good grief.. ABC finally tells the truth, and it apologizes?
This is another new low for mainstream media. Now, ABC should have made an
apology, but for over reporting/covering Williams' death at the expense of
national and world-wide NEWS stories.
---
Online quote source: "“Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good
thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously. And because all things
have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your
gratitude.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson" -- Hmmm.. you know.. this needs to be
printed on every government employees' pay check, and on every entitlement check
and EBT card.

Online story: "Hillary Clinton is "absolutely" going to "hug it out" with
President Obama at a party they'll both be attending on Martha's Vineyard, the
former secretary of state said Wednesday, after facing criticism for remarks she
made insinuating reproach for his leadership abroad." -- "Hug it out"? I think
she means " hang on for dear life" as she'll get no help by hanging on to
Obamgedden's Teflon coattails. On the other hand, if Obamageddon gets in a good
squeeze, we'll get to see the Hillsbury DOUGHgirls with "muffin tops".
---
Have you seen David Perdue's campaign buttons? At first I thought it was an
Obamagedden button, but then again, it might be an intentional move to get more
switchover votes.
---
Well, while I didn't want to join the liberals glorifying Robin Williams I
suicide, I must warn you to expect Sen Feinstein & Rep Pelosi, both
California Democtrats, to introduce new legislation to ban belts.
--
A few years ago, when BRAC was in full anticipation, upwards of 30-40,000
new jobs/people/students were projected for Columbus/Ft Benning. None of it
happened. Now we are projected to lose 10-11,000 military/civilian jobs
associated with Ft Benning, and I don't see Mayor Obamalinson making so much as
a whimper.

LIV's L-E "soundoff": " We have always been brainwashed in this country to
think that we have the best form of government on earth. We do not. Canada and
Great Britain have the best form of government." -- Good grief.. what are they
teaching in public school! Canada is split between French/English forms, and
England use to run America. England, who has a system of justice that presumes
you are guilty unless you can convince a panel you aren't, and state religion,
and social classism.. bains of freedom.

Author Jamie Vollmer, "Schools Cannot Do It Alone", will be in Columbus in
a couple of weeks. He's right.. schools cannot do it alone.. My question is, why
does public education insist on trying to do so. The school systems want to
pick'em up, feed'em, stifle individual thoughts, care for them after school,
then drop'em off at home for bed time.
