The Buffalo Bills... you know, that name is probably more offensive to Native Americans than the Washington Redskins. Buffalo Bill got his name for the indiscriminate slaughter of buffaloes which took food out of Native American children's mouths. How about renaming the team the Buffalo Bobs? That way, the NFL could get Howdy Doody as its new puppet Commissioner.

Online headline: "Next Buick Regal coming in 2017, could be imported from Germany" -- And Factless Shrugged calls companies that move to other countries "unpatriotic"? American taxpayers "lost" $10 Billion dollars from the man-of-Steal's bailout, and now GM is effectively moving jobs overseas...Oh... wait a minute.. that vehicle is already being made in Canada..tell me again hoe America benefited from bailing GM out?
---
Online headline: "Pope Francis Shares Top 10 Secrets To Happiness" -- Wow.. who knew David Letterman could be considered as the next Pope?
---
HuffPost story: "No one on the Supreme Court objected publicly when the justices voted to let Arizona proceed with the execution of Joseph Wood, who unsuccessfully sought information about the drugs that would be used to kill him" -- Good grief.. why should anyone, including the sentenced-to-death criminal, be entitled to know or pick what's used? Such animals didn't get to choose from Federal/Remington/Winchester bullets when firing squads were used, nor a choice of hemp/sisal/polystyrene ropes when lynching was the order, nor AC or DC when the electric chair was the option.

Online story: "John Kerry's diplomatic phone calls were wiretapped by Israeli intelligence, according to a report from German magazine Der Spiegel. * The magazine says Kerry used unencrypted devices to make some diplomatic calls that were then intercepted by Israel and one other country's intelligence agencies. " -- "encrypted devices"? With Factless Shrugged or John Karney (Jay's cousin), their lips are "encrypted devices" as somewhere in their lies may be a smattering of truth.

HuffPost headline: "Obama dismisses Russia" -- Well, glad that's over! Good grief...typical liberalese.. if you address something definitively, then the problem is solved and "we" can move on...

L-E headline/story: "21 processors to help provide free dear meat * Twenty-one meat processors will participate in this year's Hunters Helping the Hungry program." -- Hmmm.. I guess we're about to see a surge in "missing dears". I wonder if "dear meat" tastes like chicken?

Online story: "The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports state corrections data shows the number of black men sent to prison in the past five years declined by 19 percent and the number of black women sent to prison in the same time period dropped by 33 percent. Georgia has seen an overall 15 percent drop in inmates since 2009, according to the data. * The drop may be linked to a large decline in crack cocaine use which was used primarily by African Americans, said Georgia Bureau of Investigation Deputy Director Russell Andrews. Meanwhile, authorities throughout the state have seen an increase in cases involving methamphetamine, according to GBI records." -- Declines in the number of people, black. white or other, incarcerated is welcome news as long as it's based on a decline in crimes. Let's pray that the decline is not skewed by the number that are killed in street crimes that just never get to court to be part of the statistics.

Online quote source: "“Any fact facing us is not as important as our attitude toward it, for that determines our success or failure. The way you think about a fact may defeat you before you ever do anything about it. You are overcome by the fact because you think you are.” - Norman Vincent Peale " -- Hmmm...so "Any fact facing us is not as important as our attitude toward it"? It's especially egregious pertaining to liberals who are also just averse to facts.

Online story: "Sandra Fluke was catapulted to Democrat stardom after she testified before Congress on the woes of having to pay for her own birth control. She contended that she could not afford the $3,000 a year cost for birth control, so the taxpayers should provide it for her. * This was used to craft and push the false narrative of a Republican ‘war on women.’ The ‘right’ to have sex with no personal responsibility was at the heart of the argument and anyone who objected was deemed as being against women. * Fast-forward to today and Sandra Fluke is now a Democrat candidate for State Senate in California. She boasts of fundraising prowess * a breakdown of her campaign finances reveals two startling facts. * The first is that Sandra Fluke and her family are personally responsible one-third of her campaign donations * But, the bigger story is that Sandra Fluke, who complained to be unable to pay for birth control, has given her campaign a total of $116,826,27. Of that, $12,000 was donated outright, $4,826.27 was given in non-monetary contributions, and $100,000 was given by Fluke to her campaign in the form of a loan." -- Hmmm.. so she COULD afford her own birth control... My question is why didn't her mother practice birth control better?

Online story: "In an interview with Israeli Ambassador Ron Dermer on Thursday's NBC Today, co-host Savannah Guthrie noted how "anti-Israel protests around the world" "have taken a disturbing turn and become anti-Semitic in nature," but proceeded to blame Israel for the prejudice: "Do you ask yourselves, 'Okay, we may be winning militarily but are we losing the larger battle, the PR war?' And perhaps, as one headline put it yesterday, minting the next generation of terrorists?"" -- Good grief.. we knew there was liberal bias as a rule at NBC, but we didn't know that NBC is an anagram of Noticeably Biased Commentary.

Online story" "Actor James Woods is no stranger to political tweets. He has been quite vocal in the past of his criticism of Barack Obama and other far-left progressives. * But, following Nancy Pelosi’s strange behavior on the House floor (previously noted in The Breakfast Club), during which time she broke decorum and interrupted Republican Rep. Tom Marino before chasing him around the floor, Woods tweeted concern for Pelosi. The outburst was so outrageous that he questioned her mental sanity. * Woods may not be alone in pondering whether Pelosi has a mental issue. Pelosi’s fellow Democrat, Rep. Nita Lowey, D-NY, uttered an incredulous “What is she doing” while witnessing Pelosi’s bizarre antic" -- What a double-dose of good news.. a Hollywooder and East Coast liberal agreeing on a Democratis act of lunacy.

I got an answer from the resident expert in Columbus about my concern as to why Michelle Nunn Martin is going on the ballot as "Michelle Nunn" versus her voter registration name. The expert says: ""Here's what the State Election Board rule says A candidate's name shall always appear in the following form: given or first name or initial, if desired by the candidate; middle name or names or initials, if desired by the candidate; nickname, if desired by the candidate; and last or surname in full. All names shall be in substantially the following form: John Lincoln "Jack" Doe; or J. Lincoln "Jack" Doe; or J. L. "Jack" Doe Jr.; or any of the above combinations without the intervening nickname" -- Hmmm ... nowhere do I see that a candidate is allowed to use her "Maiden Name" at her discretion. Aren't we glad Ray "You can call me Ray" L Johnson, Jr. is not going on the ballot...

L-E headline: "Auburn football: Former lineman Shane Callahan enrolls at Colorado" -- Hmmm... sounds like Auburn's football program is "going to pot"...

Golf yesterday was excellent. Mickelson fired a 62, but the head-on-head between Sergio Garcia & Rory McIlroy was exciting, but I tell you what, McIlroy's tee shots demoralized Garcia. There was usually 25-30, sometimes 50 yards difference. I will say I thought McIlroy's etiquette was lacking. He went to his shot while Garcia was sizing up his own shots from way back, and McIlroy often stood there so Garcia had to see him as he was playing his shot. I do believe I would have asked him to move.... that or send a low warning shot across his "brow".

You know , if Netanyahu said what he says from behind the desk in the Oval Office, the middle-east would be a lot less explosive. Of course, when our president is actually in the Oval Office, we have a "NothinYahoo".

From the "suspicions confirmed" department - Online story: "The New York Times had its first-ever full-page marijuana-related ad run on the heels of its editorial board calling for the drug's legalization. * The ad, from a company called Leafly, ran on page 17 in the paper's A section, and featured the tagline "Just Say Know." -- Well, we have always known the folks at the NYT were smoking something....
---
Online headline: "Marion Barry released from hospital after wrong-way crash on Pennsylvania Avenue" -- Hmmm... an accident... or did Factless Shrugged use his "pen and phone" to order the traffic flow reversed?
---
L-E story: "There are crimes -- and then there are crimes that leave one with the head-scratching feeling.
* Take the one that was reported to Columbus police on April 1 in Shirley Winston Park, a city facility with a gym, baseball fields, a swimming pool and a football field. * No, this is not a late April Fool's joke, though if you keep reading, it is outlandish and brazen enough to be one. * A person -- or persons, and I am betting on the latter -- went into the facility and stole all of the benches off the football field bleachers. * Let's repeat that so there is no misunderstanding. They did not take the bleachers, just aluminum benches (48 of them) that were once securely attached." -- ROFLMAO wondering why Mayor Obamalinson hadn't required aluminum, like the copper directive, have secret identifying marks put on the benches so a metal recycler might notice they benches were stolen...DOH! Good grief... did anyone even bother to check eBay or Craig's List?

At my church yesterday, we had a "Blessing of the Backpacks" Litany.. Even the new School Superindent was in attendance. The leader led, mentioning all the stages of a child's daily routine for a school day. The children responded after each item, "Jesus is with me". According to the Litany, "Jesus is with them" when picking out clothes, eating breakfast, getting the bus, meeting their teachers/classmates. playing at recess, finding the right bus home, and telling their families about their day at school. This is not an original service at our church, and is offered many ways throughout the country. What it left out is Jesus being with them in their classrooms, and isn't that one of the biggest (if not "the biggest") problems we are facing.
