Taliban jihadists have infiltrated the Afghan army, and an American General was killed and 15 other soldiers, including a German Genearl were wounded yesterday. Knowing the schedule of the drawdown emboldens the Taliban. That Mosqued-man is not just hard of hearing, he's pretty blind as well.

You know, mainstream media, even Fox News is wrong in their assessment of the The Party movement. The Tea Party movement could guarantee the defeat of Republican incumbents simply by running as a third party candidate in the General Elections.. The real cause of the Tea Party movement is to get the Republican Party to regain its difference from being so similar to Democrats.

Online story: "On MSNBC's Melissa Harris-Perry program on Saturday, Dean Obeidallah injected race into the debate inside the U.S. over the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict: "You saw a poll last week, young people 18 to 29: only 25 percent think it's justified what Israel is doing; 50 percent said, no. People of color, same numbers...It's really the Obama coalition versus white conservatives. That's the only group saying – the majority saying what Israel is doing is justified." -- Hmmm.. Yesterday we talked about liberal Juan Williams assertion on whites want impeachment... before that we learned Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nevada, thinks Constitutionalist Justice Clarence Thomas is white. Now we hear Palestinian comedian Dean Obeidallah says only white conservatives support Israel. Don't you wonder why any Jewish voter ever voted for a Democrat?

Why does Fox News keep bringing back Sgt Tahmooressi's mother on to speak? Fox should ask an official from the DOD or White House to come on.....either that or have reporters camp out on the DOD or White House doorsteps until someone gets Tahmooressi home.

Online story: "53% of Americans have an unfavorable opinion of Obamacare, up 8% since last month. This is the largest unfavorable opinion of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) in the survey's four year history, a poll by the Kaiser Family Foundation finds. Only 37% of people actually have a favorable opinion of the law. * Obamacare lost favorability with women, whites, and those in the low and middle income brackets, along with other groups - including Democrats." -- "including Democrats".... that actually does bring "Hope and Change" into the picture.

---
Hmmmm...looks like the new slogan for OObamaCRAP will be, "If you like your OObamaCRAP plan, you haven't seen the new payment/deductible for that plan."

---
L-E story: "Work on the Columbus side has already begun on the roughly $400,000 project that is being done by Whitewater Express, the lone outfitter on the Chattahoochee whitewater course, and Uptown Whitewater Management LLC, a non-profit corporation that manages the 2.5-mile whitewater park. * Whitewater Express and Uptown Whitewater Management are still working out details of who will pay for the project, he said. * Originally, Whitewater Express was going to construct and operate the zipline. Now, there is a probability that Uptown Whitewater Management will pay for the construction and own it, Bishop said.
* “We feel like it is a good idea for us to own it with it being on city property, rather than an individual own it on city property,” Bishop said." -- Hmmmm...just why is it a good idea for the Uptown organization to build/own it? Whitewater Express basically doesn't have any "skin in the game", and can "walk away" if the WE owner doesn't see success.

---
Hmm. Interesting observation...border patrol works when you patrol the border.

Depending on what station you watch, it seems like nearly every TV ad is about insurance, class action suits, medicines or promoting another show on that station. No wonder the economy is still sputtering.

---
L-E headline: "Candidate Nunn, father, agree that bipartisanship must return to D.C." -- Two Democrats agreeing on bi-partisanship? Gimme a break!

---
From above L-E story: "Michelle Nunn, a 47-year-old Democrat, said she would like to bring back to Washington the spirit of cooperation that was evident in her father’s tenure in the Senate, which ran from 1972 to 1997." -- Good grief.. Sen Sam Nunn didn't run in 1996 because he didn't think he could win after the voter's revolt in 1994 after 2 years of the Clintons. As is was, Max Cleland , D, won with only a small margin plurality as 2 other conservatives siphoned a few too many votes away from Republican Guy Milner.

---
From above L-E story: "“One senator in Washington can actually make a material difference,” Nunn (though I'm not sure which Nunn said this) said. “That person can help change the culture of Washington by joining forces with others, by reaching across the aisle, by actually realizing that there are good ideas on both sides of the aisle.” -- Good grief.. Name me one Democratic Party Senator who has crossed the aisle in the last 60 years to side with Republicans on an issue that has been good for America...The only thing self-evident is that no matter what a Democratic Party candidate says in a GE election, it will vote the party mantra in Washington.

---
Now you can name many Republicans who have extended a hand out to the Democrats, and have had their hands gnawed off by Democrats.. Presidents Reagan, both Presidents Bush, and presidential wannabe McCain.

---
Hmmm ... what's obvious is two Nunns do not make a Right... thinking representative for Georgia.

---
L-E story: "A 25-year-old woman reported Monday someone grabbed her buttocks while she was using the bike trail near Armour Avenue, according to a Columbus police report" -- That's two violent crimes on the Bike Trail in the last week. Perhaps the Crime Prevention Committee needs to fund more bicycle cops instead of street games.

---
L-E story: "Mayor Teresa Tomlinson and state Department of Transportation board member Sam Wellborn have been invited to be a part of a transportation study trip to Copenhagen, Denmark, courtesy of the Knight Foundation, Tomlinson announced this week. * The trip, from August 23-29, will study building more livable, sustainable and engaged cities, * “I’ve been hearing more and more people clamoring for a complete bike grid in Columbus,” Tomlinson said." -- Hmmm.. Mayor Obamalinson cannot put together a budget that matches anticipated revenues, and now she wants to plan more revenue negative projects? Having mindsets like hers in Washington is bad enough, but she has us on the track to become the Detroit of the South.

From the "did you know this went on" department - This past weekend, there was a pro-Hamas rally in Washington, DC.. in fact, it was held outside the gates of the White House. An American Marine veteran of Puerto Rican descent stood up for American and Israel's partnership and was beaten by the pro-Hamas throng. Mind you, this was basically on the steps of the White House, and very few people are aware of it. Now, on the other hand, if the KKK had staged such a rally, and had been stood-up-to by an American vet, this would have seen Factless Shrugged staging an attack on the KKK rally, and it would have been page one fodder for every mainstream media outlet until the November elections. Once again, how can the Jewish voters support the Democrats?

Online story: "It’s not just the Tea Party that the IRS is giving extra scrutiny too, it’s also checking into church sermons. According to Investors Business Daily the IRS agreed to an atheist group’s demands “to monitor sermons and homilies for proscribed speech that the foundation believes includes things like condemnation of gay marriage and criticism of ObamaCare for its contraceptive mandate.” * The division in charge of enforcing this review of religious speech, the Tax Exempt and Government Entities Division, was once headed by IRS scandal figure Lois Lerner. So far the Big Three (ABC, CBS, NBC) networks have yet to run with this stunning story on any of their evening or morning news programs." -- Wait a minute... first, since "they" don't believe there is a god, why are atheists concerned at what other people think? Secondly, if the government believes the Constitution truly separates church & state, why is the government trying to censor what's related from the Bible? Thirdly, why is the IRS responding to the reacting to the request of anything other than a court order?

---
Online story: "According to CBS This Morning host Gayle King on Monday, unless an illegal alien is doing something "illegal," Americans should leave him or her alone." -- DOH! A line like this belongs on stage at a comedy club...What about "illegal alien" doesn't Gayle King realize is illegal to begin with?

---
LIV's L-E "soundoff" : "Can the violent anti-abortion crowd possibly think that abortion is worse than letting subhuman women and their brutal boyfriends have children, enabling their bone-breaking abuse of the little ones?" -- Excuse me, but why would even another pro-lifer want to be associated with this "soundoffer"? First, even an abused child has a chance at survival and life and a future with another family... name me on aborted fetus that has any of those options in life?

Personal note: Our Columbus, GA Northern Little League will be on national TV today at 5:00 PM on ESPN2 in the semifinals of the SE Regional's of LL Baseball. Manager Randy Morris has been to two LL World Series events, and managed the winning 2006 champs.

---
L-E's " Thought for Today" : “A successful lie is doubly a lie; an error which has to be corrected is a heavier burden than the truth.” — Dag Hammarskjold, U.N. Secretary-General (1905-1961)." -- Wow.. and we thought the terror of Factless Shrugged's regime would end in January of 2016...

---
From the L-E's "Today in history" feature: " In 1945, during World War II, the United States dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan, resulting in an estimated 140,000 deaths." -- Hey, Factless Shrugged... that was how you cross a red line!

---
L-E headline: "Gaza cease fire begins as Israel pulls troops" -- Doh.. wanna bet the cease fire ends when the last Israeli troop is out of the Gaza Strip? This is the same strategy al Qaida/Taliban jihadists used after Factless Shrugged set pull out deadlines in Iraq/Afghanistan

---
From the L-E's "Looking back| Fifty years ago today, August 6, 1964 * China: U.S. Incurs ‘Debt of Blood’
* Red China accused the United States today of launching a war of aggression against Communist North Viet Nam. It warned that this meant aggression against the Chinese as well and threatened “grave consequences.” * “The debt of blood incurred by the United States must be repaid,” read a statement from Peking." -- "debt of blood"? Hmmm.. looks like 50 years later that the "debt of blood" has been replaced by a "red line" and a huge debt of GREEN China now holds over our economy.

---
Online story: "The federal government has concluded there's a new leaker exposing national security documents in the aftermath of surveillance disclosures by former NSA contractor Edward Snowden, U.S. officials tell CNN." -- Why not sic the IRS on the NSA.. that kill two birds with one stone.. IRS would be off our backs, and the NSA would be too busy to spy on others.

---
Online headline: "These Are The States With The Best And Worst School Systems, According To New Rankings" -- Hmmm.. the only real truth in this poll is that all the states' public education 'smells rank".

---
Online headline/story: "California couple struggling after being forced to pay deceased daughter’s student loans * (Their daughter) had taken out close to $100,000 in student loans (which her parents co-signed) in order to pay for nursing school, and was making payments on the debt when she died. * his daughter’s debt has ballooned to $200,000 and the payments exceed $2,000 a month" -- Well, well, well... another victim, two actually, of Democratic Party campaign lies. Vote for us, and we'll give you easy money.. Good grief.. the girls parents fell for the "trap" set by the Democrats. $200,000.00 in debt for a doctor would be a secure loan.. $200,000.00 for a nurse's job was not, is not justifiable.

---
From the "you'd think this could only happen in California, but it happen in Missouri" department - Online headline/story: "Man gets parking ticket in his own driveway * Apparently, the bumper of his pick-up truck extended into the sidewalk, blocking a portion of it" -- The man lived in a cul-de-sac neighborhood.. I guess St Charles, Missouri must be the absolute lowest crime city in America if the police have time to go out into neighborhoods looking for parking violations in people's driveways.

---
Online headline: "Senator pushes for aggressive recall reforms * Claire McCaskill proposed a bold new law in the wake of deadly recall fiascos involving companies like GM and Toyota." -- Ooops, my bad... thought she might have included something really in need of a total recall.. OObamaCRAP.
---
Online story: "Recently, headlines have been highlighting the use of a drone to tape New York Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney's (D-NY) wedding which many claim to be a violation of the Federal Aviation Administration rules." -- Hmmm.. apparently the liberal side of US government recognizes rules for flying drones at weddings, but overrules states' rights to determine who can actually get married..
---
HuffPost story: "Defense lawyers for the Guantanamo Bay prisoner charged with masterminding the 2000 USS Cole warship bombing in Yemen sought on Tuesday to find out how their client could be executed in the death penalty case, citing a troubled Arizona execution." -- Good grief.. how about if we just use sharia law and decapitate the jihadist so he'll be more comfortable.
