Finally! That "time capsule" from the Massachusetts Statehouse cornerstone has been opened. Fab stuff.. BUT.. officials want to reinsert it so it can "be discovered by a future generation of Bay State residents." Good grief.. government officials are stupid.. why not make a permanent public display of what was 'found", and put in another "time capsule" with 21st Century items in well sealed containers for a future generation to have to examine later?

John Smoltz... Hall of Fame.. you really smoked'em, Smoltz.. Congrats!

Online story: "Authorities are looking for a man who may have information about a homemade explosive that someone set off near the Colorado Springs chapter of the NAACP." -- Good grief.. this from the same mainstream media and government officials who claim that the Ft Hood jihad was only "workplace violence" and the beheading in Oklahoma City was not an act of an individual Islamic terrorist. I guess there's no need for caution when they can stir up racial tones....

Online story....The future of California's high speed rails:
1 - "If this train manages to deliver passengers on time, it could beat a direct flight between Los Angeles and San Francisco, which takes an hour and 20 minutes but involves airport travel hassles. * 1A - "The first stretch linking the Central Valley to the Burbank airport should open in seven years. Then it will reach north to San Jose, and south to Palmdale and the San Fernando Valley. By 2029 - 14 years from now " -- Good grief..using airport depots will not only add chaos to airport traffic and parking, but increase the car rental hassle multiple times... if you're able to get one. On a local comparison.. Mayor TomLYINGson first claimed she could get ours to Atlanta done by 2020.. now its 2030.. same time frame as California.. except..except..she hasn't done anything but talk about it and give $350,000.00 to her friends to "study" the plausibility...
2 - - "Current estimates are between $81 and $89 one-way from San Francisco to Los Angeles, similar to a discount airline fare and about twice what gasoline would cost to drive there in a typical car." -- Hmmm.. and once you get there a taxi/car retal will exceed that into "town".
3 - "The current (2011) price tag is $68 billion." * Voters approved nearly $10 billion in bonds for rail construction and improvements to existing lines. The Obama administration added $3.3 billion in federal financing. Authorities hope private development around stations will help pay for the rest." -- Hmmm.. so the public is getting stuck with $13.3 BILLION so far, and that leaves another $54.7 BILLION (at today's value) to be randomly picked up by private partners? Yeah.. but if private partners thought this was a good, a viable idea, train companies would already have such a system up and running.

Comparison: - Remember when the River Center was first proposed and was going to be handled by local investment? Well the projected costs were about $38 Million.. then state tax money got involved.. and the projected costs leaped to $65-to-$68 MILLION.. wonder what the actually finally build out costs us..

Online headline..."headlie"?: "By 2017, under 50% of new cars will use conventional gas engines" -- Well. that will happen to Ferguson, MO drivers as no gas stations will reopen.. or maybe Obamageddon's 'dream" of a low emission vehicle will come true.. ala the Fred Flinstonemobile..
---
Online headline: "Harry Reid emerges from accident with horrific injuries in new video to constituents" -- Still think Reid would have more credibility just saying he "ran into a door".. Plus. it's probably TRUE.. he probably was shoved into the exit door by the 9 former Democrat Senators lost their seats after supporting Reid for the last 6 years!
---
HuffPOO headline: " 7 Important Life Skills They Won't Teach You In High School" -- How to cook, manage money, self-defense, manage stress, self-esteem lead this list, but it doesn't include the most obvious need of today's students.. how to eliminate government control of your everyday life.
---
You have to wonder about the real future of GPS guided driver-less cars.. Let's face it, even North Korea could wipe out a huge segment of the American population by hacking into and crashing the GPS satellites during rush hour.

Online quote source: "“Some people may have greatness thrust upon them. Very few have excellence thrust upon them. They achieve it. They do not achieve it unwittingly, by 'doing what comes naturally'; and they don't stumble into it in the course of amusing themselves. All excellence involves discipline and tenacity of purpose.” - John William Gardner " -- Hmmm.. sounds like we have seen Obamageddon's game plan for America, and his epitaph...
---
Another online quote: " “In matters of style, swim with the current; in matters of principle, stand like a rock.”
-Thomas Jefferson" -- Hmmm, or in Obamageddon's instance.. swim like a rock...

Caught a few minutes of the Ole Miss vs Kentucky b-ball game..Why does Ole Miss still use "Rebels" as its nickname since they changed it to "Black Bears" a five years ago?
---
L-E headline: "Tomlinson, five councilors, sworn in to offices Tuesday night" -- Hmm.. sworn in or sworn at? Guess it's whether or not you're on the City health plan or not..

There's a Top Ten list of states people are moving "into". Only one is a state (Oregon) that has Demoractic Party "rule". One thing not expanded on is that after the 2014 elections, only 7 of our 50 states (Hawaii, California, Oregon, Vermont, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Delaware) have Democratic Party Rule. Another interesting fact is that Illinois.. land of Obamageddon... is number one in people leaving for other states. Infact, only two Democratic Party controlled are having growth in citizens.. Orgegon, and Washington, DC. People are not only voting at the ballot box, they are voting with their feet..
---
L-E headline: "Mercedes moving headquarters from New Jersey to Atlanta" -- Hmmm.. and businesses are voting with their wheels...
---
Have you heard the name..Jeffrey Epstein? Well, Epstein is a registered sex offender who particularly liked under aged girls.. Epstein is also being exposed for his relationships with Prince Andrew and Alan Dershowitz.. Both of them are embroiled in denials of claims associated with Epstein's sickness. It doesn't stop their.. Bill Clinton was a "friend" of Epstein.. Clinton was a frequent flight guest in Epstein's private jet in the early 2000's. After Hillewinsky's loss in the 2008 primaries. Bill suddenly saw Hillewinsky wasn't the "shoo-in" he expected, and since has removed himself from Epstein.. but what went on before is now under scrutiny.

Good grief! I made a purchase at a fast food place yesterday, and handed the young girl a $20.00. She then said the total was $16.04, so I reached in my pocket and found a nickel and handed it to her. She went into panic mode and said she couldn't take it because she'd already entered the $20.00 and it would throw off her drawer. I said, "What?" Take it and just give me back a penny and 4 $1's. She said she couldn't. I said, "no, you won't." I then said , "OK, give me the change, but keep the drawer open, and I'll give you a dollars worth of coins for a dollar bill. She still doesn't realize how that worked..great job, MCSD....NOT!

Online story: "The status of 53 Cuban political prisoners who were supposed to be freed as part of the historic deal thawing U.S.-Cuba relations remains a mystery nearly three weeks after the announcement, prompting criticism from rights groups and lawmakers that the Castro regime is stringing along the White House." -- Guess Castro is waiting for the final Gitmo terrorists to be returned to society so he will have a place to "free" the political prisoners...
---
Those "brunch" invasions in NYC and Oakland are just what we need to sway more voters to abandon the Democrats. Protestors know that those liberal areas have the fewest gun owners, and even fewer with carry permits. That could change...
---
Online story: "If you waited until this week to apply for a private school scholarship for your child, you waited too long. * The Georgia Department of Revenue has announced that the program hit its $58 million cap for the year on Jan. 1., about three weeks earlier than the money ran out last year. * The General Assembly created the program in 2008 to give Georgia parents who can't afford private school on their own an alternative other than sending their kids to a public school in a state beset with low test scores and a high dropout rate." -- You know, if this is not "the reason" for "school vouchers", what else is there? The public school system is wrought with failure, and nothing led by an elected school board or staffed by union personnel will initiate the changes that are needed for course correction.

The Republicans need to post the voting records of Senate Democrats and Republicans alike who are running for reelection in 2016. Daily.. with constant updates..

YES! Just checked my TV guide app, and "Major Crimes" is having a double showtime on Monday, Jan 12, 2015..we have something worthwhile to watch instead of the O vs O, the Big Zeroes, football game.

L-E story: "The Muscogee County School District Board of Education has been recognized for its status — 2014 Georgia School Board Association (GSBA) Distinguished Board — one of only 52 out of 180 school boards in Georgia to exceed and achieve the honor. Distinguished Board status is the second highest level of recognition. The highest status is Exemplary Board." -- "the highest status is Exemplary Board"? In other words.. the MCSD Board finished toed for last...
Instant repeat: "L-E story: "The Muscogee County School District Board of Education has been recognized for its status — 2014 Georgia School Board Association (GSBA) Distinguished Board — one of only 52 out of 180 school boards in Georgia to exceed and achieve the honor. Distinguished Board status is the second highest level of recognition. The highest status is Exemplary Board." -- Hmmm.. wonder how many GA School Boards are wasting classroom dollars joining.... 52 maybe?
---
You know.. if what we've seen from our School Board over the past 20 years rates it as "Distinguished", public education is much, much worse that we have thought.
---
L-E headline: "Astronomers report newly found near-twins for Earth" -- Hey... why not send all the liberals and socialist there so they can prove how their theories will work if you keep Conservatives out of the picture?
---
You know.. the MCSD will play down what a 1% new SPLOST tax is, but what it is is $35,000.000.00 staying in the pockets of local taxpayers to be used in supporting the local econmy. Vote "NO WAY!" on a new one..
