Columbus' Tim Hudson gives me the excitement to pull for that Giants for the first
time since Willie Mays was playing!

You know, between the local Public Safety/Infrastructure LOST, the
T-SPLOST, and the MCSD SPLOST, we taxpayers contribute over $75,000,000.00
annually to the things the proponents of the Redevelopment Referendum in
addition to our 'some-of-the-highest-property-taxes-in-the-state'. When is
enough enough?
---
Online headline: "Florida woman killed by airbag" -- Ooops, my bad..
thought someone died during a Democrat Party political rally speech.
---
Soapbox momement: Another business property on the tax digest has been
removed..CSU is now the owner of the property that formerly housed the Columbus
L-E. Now those thousands of tax dollars used by the City and MCSD have gone
"poof". I bring this up because there's a referendum on the ballot to remove
the tax status on all property under university ownership. It's particularly
disturbing that off campus housing rental will be exempt from taxes while
privately owned rentals will not. This gives the universities both an advantage
over private rental owners, and will lead to an even higher tax on
non-university owned properties.

Online headline/story: "Obama’s Ebola czar was a Michelle Nunn campaign
adviser * That means the longtime Democratic hand no longer has time to help out
Michelle Nunn’s U.S. Senate (debate preparations). Ron Klain, was the former
chief of staff to vice presidents Al Gore and Joe Biden" -- Hmmm... this may be
devastating to Know Nothing Nunn.. previously we just thought she wasn't
capable.. now we know she was being coached to be ineffective.
---
Online story: "America's newly appointed Ebola ‘czar’ is not yet in the
House — at least not the ones on Pennsylvania Avenue or Capitol Hill. * Ron
Klain, appointed last Friday by President Obama to direct the nation's response
to the Ebola crisis, sent his regrets Monday to the House Oversight and
Government Reform Committee * “The White House has informed us that he has not
yet officially started and will not be able to attend Friday,” the committee
aide told Fox News. * He is expected to start sometime this week." -- Huh? If I
were appointed by the president to take over an important task, I would be on it
immediately! Klain's "excuse" just epitomizes the lack of urgency this
administration has for addressing state issues. Besides, didn't Klain already
use the excuse that he had a new job so he couldn't work for Know Nothing Nunn
anymore?
---
You know, why isn't mainstream media bolting on Obamageddon's appointment
of another "Czar"? Good grief...hasn't watching Putin at work shown mainstream
media what happens with a Czar in charge?
---
You know.. we sorta have to wonder whether Sam Nunn may want his daughter
to start running on her own name instead of his..
---
Liberal bias headline/story: "Headline: David Perdue backs UGA on canceling
journalist visit because of Ebola fear * Last line of Story: "Nunn has also
called for a travel ban". -- You now.. a fair headline would have been "GA
Senatorial candidates support UGA canceling Liberian journalist's visit"
---
I posted a FaceBook page of opposition of the Redevelopment Referendum on
the ballot here in Columbus, GA about a week ago.. through "sharing", it has now
reached over 1,000 area like thinking people.
---
You know.. why is it that the MCSD lost funding because of the high tax
base compared to other school systems? You would think with all the bellyaching
the MCSD and Mayor Obamalinson do about our tax freeze that the State
Legislature would think we deserve more state funds.

Online story: "Arkansas Democratic Sen. Mark Pryor argued that the federal
government’s desegregation of Arkansas’s largest public school in 1957 was an
“unwilling invasion” that took “a local problem out of the local authorities’
hands” and led to deep suspicions of democracy in the state, according to a copy
of his college thesis obtained by the Washington Free Beacon. * Written in 1985,
the 30-page paper—which also suggested that the state’s Democratic Party was
hindering economic progress, and attributed policies such as welfare and the
Equal Rights Amendment to “wild-eyed liberals” -- Wow.. and mainstream media
hasn't lynched him? Remember when Paula Dean mentioned that 30 or so years ago
(hmmm, about the same time as Pryor wrote his thesis) she had a single negative
thought about a black person, and the MSM destroyed her business empire?
---
Speaking of Arkansas.. Hey, Walmart.. you abandoned Paula Deen after her
admission.. what are you going to do about Mark Pryor?
---
Remember the Vermont College that played a recording of a convicted cop
killer's speech at its graduation ceremony? Well, Governor Corbett of
Pennsylvania has signed a law (as in passed by the PA legislativ bodies) that
allows prosecutors or victims to stop such an occurrence from happening again.
Civil rights groups are claiming that's a violation of his civil rights.... Good
grief.. he's a convicted cop killer.. he has no more civil rights involving
"free" anything (other than room & board), and what about his victim's civil
rights this killer took from the victim and his family. Why is that killer still
breathing!
---
Online story: "The Taliban are claiming that two senior members of the
Haqqani terror network recently visited the five former Guantanamo detainees who
were traded for an American soldier," -- Hmmm.. well. at least someone knows
where they are.
---
Online story: " A federal judge on Tuesday delayed the arraignment of an
alleged White House fence-jumper because of questions about his mental
competence to stand trial. * After he was apprehended in the White House on
Sept. 19, Gonzalez told a Secret Service agent that he was concerned that the
atmosphere was collapsing and needed to get the information to the president so
that he could get the word out." -- Yeah right.. the arraignment will be delayed
until after the election to make sure the he gets to cast his vote.
---
Online story: "Asia Bibi was harvesting berries in Pakistan five years ago
when she took the drink of water that could cost her her life. * the Christian
mother of five was quickly assailed by the other women working the field in a
tiny village in the Punjab province. First they said they would not drink from
the same water bucket as a Christian. Later, they told police Bibi had insulted
the Muslim Prophet Mohammad. The crime, blasphemy, is punishable by death" --
Talk about a country that needs separation of church and state!
---
Why are the US government and ACLU giving a pass to the Quran but not the
Bible?
---
Curious... How can Carter "blame" Deal for fewer students on Hope
Scholarship? Rises in the number of college professors and their salaries, lower
Lottery receipts, and dilution of the Lottery Funds for K-3 programs have
lowered the funds available for high school grads, and fewer students can afford
the difference in higher tuition.
---
Online headline: "Earth's magnetic field could flip in our lifetime" --
Whoa.. where's Representative Hank Johnson, D-GA? I guess since Guam didn't tip
over as he predicted, he needs another distraction.
---
Hank Johnson... GA's District 4 elected him because the voters thought
Cynthia McKinney was embarrassing...
---
Online story:"Detroit officials are fuming after two visiting United
Nations lawyers scolded the city for cutting off water to delinquent customers
and described the shut-offs as a “human rights” violation." -- Good grief.. you
know, if two UN lawyers wanted to make a difference, why don't they file suits
against all the UN countries to recoup all the fines and parking tickets they
don't pay, and send the money to the Detroit Water Works.. and if they are
really concerned, how about them donating their salaries as well.
---
Online headline: "US probing claims ISIS fighters seized airdropped weapons
meant for Kurds"-- "seized airdropped weapons"? Good grief.. the bundle was
dropped in their laps... of course.. all this does is speed up the acquisition
of ISIS getting more American weapons along their trail of terror like ISIS did
when Iraqi soldiers abandoned them.
---
L-E headline: "Sheriff's employee indicted after years spent on paid leave"
-- You know.. this should be the DA's opponent's main campaign promise in the
next election... not to ever let this happen to the taxpayers again. The
evidence has been sitting on Slater's desk for over 3 years without being
addressed.. over $120,000.00 tax dollars wasted on her inaction.
---
Online headline/story: "Fliers promoting Democrat Kay Hagen use lynching
imagery * The front of the flier blares: "Kay Hagan doesn't win! Obama's
impeachment will begin! Vote in 2014." * The words are superimposed over a
grainy reproduction of a photograph of what appears to be a lynching. * At the
bottom, the flier reads, "Not endorsed by any candidate. Paid for by Concerned
Citizens of Cumberland County." No contact information for the group was on the
flier" -- Good grief.. is the Hagen and Democratic camp so desperate as
this?
---
How has "early voting" been allowed? Even though it's not a "presidential
election year", all of the House and about a third of the Senate are up for
election/re-election, and Article II, Section 1 of our Constitution specifies a
single day of voting for the only other federal elected postion.. our President.
Since voting is a privilege, voters should be willing to sacrifice something,
whether self-determined inconvenience or time, to cast their vote.
---
Remember "The Blind Side".. the movie about Michael Oher..left tackle for
Ole Miss & 1st Round pick of the Baltimore Ravens? The head coach at Ole
Miss now is Oher's high school coach..the one the movie used a different name
because it made him such a doofus for Sandra Bullock's role as Leigh Anne
Tuohy.
---
I understand the need for utility companies' to provide vehicles to
employees to take care of their business ...BUT...I really don't like to see
Columbus Water Works vehicles parked outside of a doctor's office. One was doing
so yesterday at my doctor's office, and my visit took a full hour & 15
minutes from appointment time.
---
L-E headline: "(Phenix City, AL) Commissioner Ronnie Reed claims racial
bias in portrait controversy" -- Good grief.. it looks like Reed has created a
racial situation only in his own mind... and intentionally! What value does this
kind of race-baiting have for a community? Shame on him!
---
Online headline: "FBI Director Warns Google and Apple "If You Don't Decrypt
Phones, We'll Do It For You"
-- Good grief... haven't enough federal agencies already been embarrassed by listening in to out everyday conversations already? What I want to know is why the President was allowed to keep and use his encrypted Blackberry phone when elected without any complaint from the FBI et al...
-- Good grief... haven't enough federal agencies already been embarrassed by listening in to out everyday conversations already? What I want to know is why the President was allowed to keep and use his encrypted Blackberry phone when elected without any complaint from the FBI et al...

Online story: "Thousands of federal workers who have been put on
administrative leave for more than a month have been allowed to collect a
paycheck, and accrue vacation days and pension benefits, while taxpayers were
forced to foot the multi-million-dollar bill, according to a new report from the
Government Accountability Office. * During a three-year period, more than 57,000
employees were told to go home – and stay home -- for 30 days or more, costing
taxpayers $775 million in salary alone. The report found that 53,000 civilian
employees were kept home for one to three months. Another 4,000 were kept off
the job for three months to a year and hundreds more for one to three years." --
Good grief.. I even wonder if anybody checked to see how many filed for
additional "unemployment benefits" as well! A couple of other question needs to
be asked in conjunction: 1 - Did we taxpayers have to pay the salary of a
replacement worker as well, and 2 - if no replacement worker was added, were any
job opening eliminated?
---
Online quote source: "“Running away from any problem only increases the
distance from the solution. The easiest way to escape from the problem is to
solve it.” - Unknown" -- "Unknown"? Probably a Democratic Party strategist
observing reasons not to solve problems with entitlement and economy programs..
the Democratic Party voter base would abandon them if they stopped have campaign
promise to solve things.
