HuffPost headline: "US readiness questioned after Ebola infections" -- Huh?
How did this get moved to the top of the page of things we question
Obamageddon's prowess?
---
HuffPost headline: "Jennifer Garner rents goats to get rid of pests on her
property" -- Hmmm.. guess a few Democrats wouldn't leave her house following a
fundraiser.
---
Online story: "Richard Mieski, either 60 or 70-years-old, and originally
from Chicago, was kicked, bit and sat on Monday by an infuriated camel,
according to the Associated Press. He was pronounced dead after workers pulled
the animal off him using ropes. * "The camel kicked and bit him practically to
death, and when he was almost dead, he sat on him," said Tulum Civil Defense
official Alberto Canto. "Between the blows and the weight of the camel on top of
him, he was asphyxiated." * The circumstances surrounding the camel's fit of
rage are not clear, but Canto was told the animal did not get his daily dose of
Coca-Cola. * "One version is that he would always give him a Coca Cola to drink,
and apparently, that day he didn't give him the Coca Cola," Canto said." --
Hmm.. sorta like our welfare programs.. when you keep giving people something
that they haven't earned.. they get violent when you actually stop giving it to
them.

Soapbox moment: Something is smelly concerning the latest report on the
MCSD 2009 SPLOST revenues as recently reported. The figure in the L-E story had
the total amount of about $192 Million, which was way below the projected $223
Million "sold" to the public, but I expressed pleasant surprise that it was
that much.
According to the MCSD own reports on its website, as of September 30, 2013
basically 1 year ago, $134,029,292 had been received thus far. At that time, the
SPLOST had been collecting revenues for 45 months, which would average
$2,978.428.00 per month. They way I see it, now the MCSD is reporting that for
the past 12 months, it has received about $57,970,708.00 or $4,830,892.00 per
month.
According to these later figures, our local economy is on fire, and even
the City LOST should have brought in more than enough to take care of the budget
deficit, and reimburse the all-to-often "Reserves".
Yes, there needs to be a complete audit of the MCSD.
Soon would be good..now would be better!
---
Headline in the today's L-E business section bring even more questions
about the MCSD SPLOST reports on revenues received "Retail sales fell in
September on autos, gas" and "Wal-Mart cuts sales outlook amid tough
environment".
---
Online headline: "When Change Is the Problem, Not the Solution" -- Oooops,
my bad.. thought maybe the mainstream media had stopped drinking Kool-Aid and
was finally looking at Obamageddon clearly.
---
Online story: "A recently-passed ordinance in the city of Houston allows
all people dressed in women’s clothing, regardless of gender, to have access to
women’s restrooms in all Houston businesses" -- Hmmm, now real women will have
to wait in line longer anytime Houston hosts an International Male Bagpipers
Convention as guys in kilts will have 100% choice of facilities with no
waiting. Of course once this bit of humor is digested, the rest of the story
will make you sick. The openly Lesbian mayor of Houston has issued subpoenas for
Houston area preachers' sermons protesting her actions.

CNN online story: " The U.S. government suppressed information about
chemical weapons it found in Iraq, and several servicemembers were injured by
their exposure to those weapons, The New York Times is reporting. * In an
article published late Tuesday, the newspaper says it found 17 American
servicemembers and seven Iraqi police officers who were exposed to mustard or
nerve agents after 2003. They were reportedly given inadequate care and told not
to talk about what happened. * "From 2004 to 2011, American and American-trained
Iraqi troops repeatedly encountered, and on at least six occasions were wounded
by, chemical weapons remaining from years earlier in Saddam Hussein's rule." --
Whoa.. CNN has disclosed Saddam Hussein did have WMDs all along! Of course, CNN
probably knew this prior to 2001, but like the Palace torture practices of
Saddam Hussein, chose to not report this, too, so CNN people would be invited
to Palace parties.

LIV's L-E "soundoff": "True fiscal conservatism, which I believe in, means
cutting taxes only when the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. Deal's tax cuts
resulted in hundreds of millions cut from education funding. And Perdue
apparently supports those cuts." -- "True fiscal conservatism, which I believe
in"? Good grief..Usually libs start a comment with a truth or half-truth to get
some initial credibility.. but where'd this LIV pull his/her info.. out of
Mandrake the Magician's "top hat"?
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "Liberals and conservatives have the same amount of
information about what law and order, decency and honor are. However, liberals
have two things conservatives don't have: integrity and character." -- To libs,
I guess it's however Bill Clinton defines "integrity and character"?
---
Online story: "In an updated version of its propaganda booklet, “Dabiq,”
ISIS clearly identifies its No. 1 enemy – Christianity." -- Hmmm.. what's been
updated.. the Quran? All of a sudden hatred for Jews and other infidels are not
clear enough?
---
In a follow up story RE: Ferguson, MO, CBS interviewed some teenagers who
stated they were not part of the looting that ensued. Here is what one of them
said, “That’s why people loot; ‘cause they can’t get no job.” and "To be
honest, if they don’t come and restore these neighborhoods for these people,
like when you gotta go travel miles to Walmart and to get gas and stuff like
that, it should be right here. If they don’t restore this community for people
who stay here it’s gonna be hell to pay.” -- Hmmm, and looting, arson, and
rioting just go on everyday of the year when they don't have jobs? What's the
incentive for businesses to re=open?
---
Online Washington Times headline: "Obamacare website won’t reveal insurance
costs for 2015 until after election" -- I guess Obamageddon thinks that if it
worked for Pelosi, it'll work for him..
---
L-E headline: "ELECTION 2014 * Muscogee County sued over voter
registrations not yet OK’d * Nonprofits claim voters will be disfranchised" --
Good grief.. this is that "New Georgia Project" that operated illegally by
running a partisan campaign against the Secretary of State Office's direct rules
concerning this kind of registration campaign. In addition, many of the
applications were incorrectly filled out making approvals of such impossible to
comply with state laws/regulations. The GA Hosue should be investigation Rep
Stacey Abrams on ethics, if not criminal, charges for orchestrating this attempt
to undermine the rights of properly registered voters.
---
From L-E feature "Today in History": " In 1987, a 58-1/2-hour drama in
Midland, Texas, ended happily as rescuers freed Jessica McClure, an 18-month-old
girl trapped in an abandoned well." -- Wow.. I remember this so vividly.. but I
remember that it seemed like Baby Jessica was stuck down that well shaft for
weeks. I remember a country united in saving her. That was a great moment in
America.
---
L-E story: "N.J. — A convicted murderer who police say killed his mother
two days after being released from prison told a judge that he’s guilty and
doesn’t want a trial. * (15 at the time) He was tried as an adult and convicted
of first-degree murder in 1986. He received a 30-year prison sentence and was
freed on Friday." -- Well, his mother could have been alive at least two more
years if he wasn't let out early.. I assume for "good behavior".. yeah,
right.
---
L-E "letter": "Columbus is working on its 10-year plan to end
homelessness. But all the great minds on that board will never find a solution
without funding. I propose that our next SPLOST be for the homeless; and a 1%
sales tax on liquor sales. * With funding in place, we can relocate the homeless
population in a dignified manner. We can buy two city blocks on Second Avenue
where most shelters are already located. Upon this campus we can build housing,
administrative building and worship center." -- "with funding in place... We can
buy two city blocks on Second Avenue"? Like that would ever get approval of the
City Planning Committee or Mayor Obamalinson..Great plans are envisioned for
that River Access property that do not include vagrancy or compassion.
---
L-E story: " But here’s the kicker.. * Here’s an interesting tidbit for
those 2014 college graduates out there in Chatterland, be it having earned a
degree from Columbus State University, the University of Georgia, Auburn
University or the University of Alabama. * A recent CareerBuilder survey found
that 65 percent of last spring’s grads have found a job, with another 4 percent
doing internships. About 31 percent aren’t working, although some of them may
simply be heading back to graduate school, the online job site notes. * But
here’s the kicker. A full half of those recent grads now in a workplace are in
jobs that don’t even require a degree, according to CareerBuilder. However, they
are using those positions to finance an advanced degree, meaning they want to be
as qualified as possible when they do step permanently into the work force in
their chosen profession." -- "A full half of those recent grads now in a
workplace are in jobs that don’t even require a degree"? Talk about about a
"kicker". how about the "kick in the groin" when a college grad with a degree
and student loan debyt learns he/she/ didn't need the degree or loan debt to get
the job..
