Online story: " The U.S. military said Sunday it had airdropped weapons, ammunition etc to Kurdish forces defending Kobani against Islamic State militants. * In a statement Sunday night, Central Command said U.S. C-130 cargo planes made drops of arms etc provided by Kurdish authorities in Iraq. * The airdrops are almost certain to anger the Turkish government, which has said it would oppose any U.S. arms transfers to the Kurdish rebels in Syria. Turkey views the main Kurdish group in Syria as an extension of the Turkish Kurd group known as the PKK, which has waged a 30-year insurgency in Turkey and is designated a terror group by the U.S. and by NATO." -- Hmmm.. Obamageddon is dropping weapons to a known terrorist group... that's sorta like what happened in Mexico. What's he gonna name this project.. "crass&dubious"?
---
In the world of foreign policy and diplomacy.. how can dropping weapons to a terrorist group who's fighting another terrorist group be a sane avenue to a solution.. No matter who wins, terrorists have upgraded weapons to use against other parties.
---
Once again.. Turkey, Egypt and Saudi Arabia have more than 1,000,000 trained and armed soldiers at their beck&call that aren't being used. The only reason I see that they aren't being used is that Egypt, Turkey and Saudi Arabia see the rebels as Muslim friends.
---
What's this "Czar" obsession Obamageddon is so intrigued with? "Bizarre" is probably closer to accurate, but "Bi-Zar" is more realistic.
---
Toss a coin.. Do we want Obamageddon focusing on ISIS or Ebola. Frankly, I wish he wasn't involved in either..but that's not one of the options.

Soapbox moment: The Notre Dame coach made quite a ruckus on that late game pass interference call against FSU. He was wrong. In fact, if anything, the Notre Dame coach should be chastised for installing an illegal play in his offense. What a tragic lesson to be teaching players illegal plays are OK if you get away with it. I hope the Notre Dame diocese "defrocks" the coach.
---
You know.. the NCAA is fortunate the referee who made the call on Notre Dame's illegal play was on his "A game". How easily could this been a no-call and FSU been cheated.

The hospital in Dallas where some the staff was exposed to and some infected by ebola published an add of apology to the community. The hospital said it happened "despite our best intentions " . You know.. "despite our best intentions" are the unspoken motivation of liberals, too.. only liberals will follow with either/both "we didn't have enough money so give us more" or "it would work if we find the right people to run it".
----
Colorado has had a previous problem with persons spraying candy with has oil and distributing it out for Halloween.. this year, with marijuana actually legal, this "practice" is going to be even a bigger problem,,, can't you imagine kids walking to a door and asking for "halloween treats", and their parents asking for "halloweed"?

Yesterday, I left comments of the FaceBook "for" Redevelopment Referendum" page.. Of course, the site response was anonymous and juvenilely personal and petty. You know.. if this was good for Columbus, such a site would welcome differing opinions and treat them as an opportunity to clarify any misgiving. The site's response shows exactly why this needs to be defeated.

Online story: " A top official at the National Institutes of Health pushed back on Sunday against calls for a travel ban over the Ebola virus, arguing that flight restrictions would only make it more difficult to combat the disease." -- "more difficult to combat the disease"? Huh? How can containment make it "more difficult to combat the disease"? Even sadder is that the taxpayers are paying this guy!
---
Another soapbox moment: "High school senior graduation! Our child just brought home a "shopping list" of gimmicks and "got-to-haves" on her reservation contract for her cap-gown-tassel. Our children are being exploited by the vendors, and we parents are being exploited by our children's schools. We parents and the schools would be upset if some strangers came on campus offering our children "candy", but this is not much different. Vendors are offering junk eye-candy to our children, and our schools are allowing it because they are getting a few bucks from the proceeds. Is nothing sacred?
One other thing... it's cost $30.00 for a cheap disposable cap&gown plus keepsake tassel. It would be cheaper for parents to go buy a cap&gown halloween costume at Party City and the quality would probably be better.

Online headline: "Comedians honor Jay Leno with humor prize in DC" -- Hmmm.. how convenient.. while they were there, they could have dropped off the "Worst Joke of the Year Award" for Obamageddon, and "Lifetime Achievement Worst Joke Awards" to Pelosi and Reid.
---
Good grief.. now we find out that Nazi concentration camp guards that fled to America, but later outed by German Nazi hunters were given choices by our Justice Department. Either be deported, or, get this, leave on their own accord and draw their Social Security checks for a lifetime. On one hand, the Justice Department might have figured the death camp terrorists wouldn't live very long, yet reality is that only 10 have ever been prosecuted after being expelled. It also seems the Justice Department is blaming them being in the Social Security System was caused by inadequate identification at sign-up.. yet now the DOJ is still against proper photo ID cards.

L-E story: " U.S. businesses were much less likely to boost pay in the third quarter than in previous months, even as hiring remained healthy, a sign that wage gains may remain weak in the coming months." -- Hmmm guess "equal pay" has raised its head. Guess businesses are either hiring more women... or hiring men at what they would offer to women because the job market is so soft.
---
I made a comment yesterday about our lack of a website Columbus citizens can go to and check crime activity. A felloe BC sent me a 2011 story about how gung-ho Mayor Obamalinson was on buying into "Citistat" for that purpose. It didn't get done.. Guess she figured the public would believe live stats mor that the contrived ones she releases.

4 of the top 5 football teams are SEC teams. Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Auburn and Alabama. To save time and needless anxiety, I think the SEC Championship game winner should also be declared National Champs as well.
---
Online story: "Maryland officials reportedly have agreed to delay court action seeking $55 million from the primary contractor for the state’s problematic ObamaCare website. * Officials from Maryland’s health care exchange in April fired the contractor, Noridian Healthcare Solutions, and vowed to seek court actions to recoup the money." -- Delaying this reeks of Obamageddon/Biden interference just prior to the upcoming General Election date.
---
According to Pric Holder and Obamageddon, the Texas voter Photo-ID law is " discriminatory" because illegal voters can't vote. Huh? It is sick that our Attorney General is not LEADING the DOJ to eliminate voter fraud!
---
L-E headline: " President Barack Obama is taking time out from his much-trumpeted “year of action” to observe a period more important to his Democratic allies in Congress: the season of campaigning." -- Hmmm .. well, it's nice to know something will get him off of a golf course in times of crisis...even if it's self-serving.
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": " To be a teacher and vote for Nathan Deal is to vote for the potential elimination of your job." -- Good grief. if a "teacher" thinks this, then such a teacher doesn't need to be employed teaching our children.
--
L-E "soundoff": " Isn’t it ironic that the school board would extend the superintendent’s contract prior to the new board members being seated?" -- Ironic isn't the word.. Moronic would be closer to correct, but the correct word is actually "ARROGANT"! One more reason the local elections need to be held in November so there's not so many months the unseated can instill revenge on the taxpayers.
---
L-E story: " The Muscogee County School Board will be asked tonight to approve a proposal by Superintendent David Lewis outlining the allocation of $4 million of unobligated 2009 Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax money." -- One more reason the Board elections need to be in November so unseated members cannot vote their anguish on the taxpayers. 3 new members take their seats in January, and they become the majority of any 5 votes that can effect change in the way the board has operated in the past.

The Columbus (GA) L-E is 18 pages today. I've seen bigger neighborhood publications. You would think the L-E would at least try to publish real news within that 18 pages.
