Online story: "Lab results are back in the case of a teenager who died in a police shooting in St. Louis last week, and they show gun residue on the clothing and body of Vonderrit Myers, authorities said Tuesday.
* The residue was found on Myers' shirt, jeans and hand, according to a release from St. Louis police." -- Hmmm.. so much for the reliability of family member "I witnesses" (who were not present, BTW) who claimed he was not armed.

Soapbox moment: The following referendum is on the Columbus, GA ballot this November:

"Shall the Act be approved which authorizes the consolidated government of Columbus, Georgia, to exercise redevelopment powers, under the 'Redevelopment Powers Law,' as it may be amended from time to time."

It doesn't matter whether the referendum issue for redevelopment is good or not. It's a law that a few politicians can change anytime they wish, and that means what we're voting on is for politicians to have a license to steal. Want a good example? Look at what politicians have done to "The Ten Commandments".. God gave Moses 10 laws.. and politicians have "amended them from "time to time" so no one knows what the actual laws are until a jury or activist judge decides from week to week. Vote "NO".
---
You know.. passing a law that allows politicians to change/amend it the next day is something akin to a Nancy Pelosi recommendation.. You won't know what's in until you pass it and see what Council will decide to change.
---
Another good example is a "Life Sentence".. "Life" use to mean until you died.. now it w=may be 10-15 years, and politicians/activist judges "amend" the law.
---
Good grief.. the Governor of Oregon's "fiancee" is certainly her own person.. she's entered into an illegal marriage to get an illegal alien a "green card", she was involved in a marijuana growing scheme, and now she's selling her association with the governor to drum up business for her lobbying business. The Novemebr Election should be about his re-election.. it should be about his "recall".

Online story: "Teachers in Wisconsin's public schools have learned a major lesson from the state's landmark 2011 law neutering public sector unions, with more than a third dropping out of their labor organization." -- Hmmm... looks like the Republicans have put a lot of the teachers' money back in their own hands.
---
Online story: " - A Liberian Ebola patient was left in an open area of a Dallas emergency room for hours, and the nurses treating him worked for days without proper protective gear and faced constantly changing protocols, according to a statement released late Tuesday by the largest U.S. nurses' union." -- hmmm.. musta been process his OObamaCRAP info.
---
Online story: "Capital New York reports that 300 positions, or 8% of CNN’s workforce is being cut, affecting employees in Atlanta, Washington, D.C., New York and Los Angeles. Roughly half of that amount took a voluntary buyout, but the remaining staff have been laid off. The cuts are happening today and tomorrow." -- Hmmm, CNN coul;d help itself more simply by cutting the "fluff", "bias". and "bull" from its stories so people would actually listen to CNN.
---
Online headline: "Jameis Winston's lawyer: FSU hearing will have 'no impact on him playing' -- Hmmm.. wonder if Winston calls his attorney "Coach"?
---
Between them, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey have over 1 million trained soldiers at beck&call. Why are we trying to train other countries' soldiers to fight against ISIS? Why are we sending even "advisors" in?
---
Online story: "Hillary Clinton called for businesses to collaborate with universities to make higher education more affordable in a $225,000 speech Monday night at the annual University of Nevada Las Vegas Foundation dinner. * UNLV students protested her visit, insisting the university instead spend the money on scholarships -- as tuition at the school will increase by 17 percent over the next four years * The speaking fee is expected to go toward the Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation." -- "expected to go... to the Clinton Foundation"? Good grief.. what a three way tax dodge..UNLV leveraged Hillewinsky's fundfaising "power" to raise $585,000.00 for the school, then donate about 40% to the Clinton Foundation. In effect, Hillewinsky gets a $225,000.00 payday tax free. Her Foundation pays all her expenses, then donates money to causes that bring her in supporters and votes.

Some accidentally found info is too good ..

A program about man's development of hunting prowess on the History Channel says early man's prowess increased as began to add more meat (protein) to his diet. The brain grew faster. Sorta really unravels the superiority claims of vegans and PETA supporters.

Online story: "On Monday, Carter for Governor denounced as a "shameful lie" Republican assertions that his HOPE income cap plan would cut off many middle-class families. Sen. Jason Carter clarified later in the day that it wasn't true because he'd changed his position without telling anyone." -- "changed his position without telling anyone"? Of course, next he'll tell us that he had his fingers crossed behind his back when he said he's changed his mind without telling anyone.
---
Online headline/story: "Climate Activist Leo DiCaprio Wants You to Do As He Says, But Not As He Does * Environmental Policy Alliance points out the hypocrisy in a jet-setting, multi-mansion owning Hollywood actor like Leonardo Dicaprio trying to tell the rest of us how to reduce our carbon footprint. Because, you see, Dicaprio’s rules don’t seem to apply to him and his Hollywood buddies." -- Good grief..
---
Online story: "Rand Paul met with the Urban League, the NAACP, and other church and business leaders in Ferguson, MO, on Friday. Afterwards, he explained to Wolf Blizter a weakness within the Republican party: reaching out to the black community. * "I don’t want to characterize how everybody else feels about what I said, but I think it was a good opening to the conversation. I think in the Republican Party, the biggest mistake we’ve made in the last several decades is we haven’t gone into the African American community, into the NAACP and say you know what, we are concerned about what’s going on in your cities and we have plans. They may be different than the Democrats, but we do have plans and we do want to help." -- You know.. in the local school board elections, the Republican Party met with and recruited the local head of the NAACP to run with the Republican Party's support. The black bloc vote spurned him. It doesn't mean efforts will stop though, but will the black leaders of Columbus ever stop selling their influence to the Democrtas?

Know Knothing Knunn is the typical.. the perfect Democrat.. no one will know how she stands on an issue until after she gets elected.

Something happened yesterday that really disturbed my bride and me. Our youngest daughter will soon b e 18, but she's not there yet. Her doctor's office called the house yesterday and asked for my daughter by name. She had some test results of a throat swab last week. I told the caller our daughter wasn't home, but as her dad, I'd be glad to take a message. She asked if a certain cell phone number was hers, and I confirmed it, and the caller abruptly hung up. She called my daughter's number and gave her the results. Wait a minute.. our child is not 18..yet.. why are parents circumvented on the care we provide?

L-E story about itself: "(Ledger-Enquirer President and Publisher Rodney) Mahone said the Ledger-Enquirer and its staff will occupy the entire second floor of the Hardaway Building and a portion of the ground floor, where customer service will be located for those needing to make payments and conduct other business they have done for decades at the current location at 17 West 12th St. * Customers will be surprised to have a better aesthetic, or a better facility, to come in to. But they will be able to get the same services that they were able to get here in this location.” -- "will get the same services"? Good grief.. scaling down to 10% of itself is reflective of how the L-E services have been perceived by its customers.. going...going...gone.
---
L-E headline: "WOMAN DIES IN WRECK DURING STORM * Woman’s car crashed off Interstate 185 in storm that brought nearly 4 inches of rain" -- Hmmm.. once again.. I hope people from the City Engineer's Office and Columbus Council members went down to the old 1st Ave underpass, and the 11th St underpass and see what will happen when flood waters back up the new Buena Vista Road spider-web TUNNEL they are going to build.
---
L-E headline/story: "Founder of bike drive looking for stolen cycles * Jackson says he won’t press charges, just wants 14 stolen bikes returned * Jackson said he doesn’t want to press charges. He just wants the bikes returned and, if possible, to mentor the young men who stole them. * He said bikes are more than a mode of transportation. The wheels symbolize two parents that many children wish that they had. The bar represents the backbone that holds the family together. And the bike chain represents the driving force of life." -- I do applaud Chester Jackson's dreams and efforts, but by not hold people responsible just destroys the message. The message of what bike parts mean to him yet not holding those thieves responsible really just point out the destructive nature of cultural decay.
---
Wow.. tire stores should be having a economic boom! Driving on the streets of Columbus is like playing a game of "Whack-A-Pothole". Of course, in Mayor Obamalinson's mind.. like crime, like gangs, and like the homeless, potholes don't exist.
---
Where is the logic of the City hiring a technology expert who is retiring from the school system? If expertise is needed in setting up 21st Century equipment/systems, then wouldn't it be smarter to get someone with more recent knowledge of the newer systems who will be here for many more years than can be expected from a school system retiree?
---
L-E editorial headline: "Editorial * WIC program an inefficient and expensive mess" -- This should be the most popular and most used headline template at the Columbus L-E. Every government agency could be plugged in as the subject of the comment.
---
L-E story: "Corruption and poor management are to blame for inmate deaths, rampant drug abuse, broken door locks and almost continual violence at St. Clair prison, an inmate lawsuit claims, the latest in a string of complaints over conditions in Alabama’s corrections system." -- Good grief.. the inmate's suit should be directed against the liberals who have brought suits so many times against the criminal system for keeping prisoners under lock&key without the rights they had when they were free.
