It was a "Trump" night in New Hampshire.. Donald Trump was the overwhelming choice in the Republican race, and Bernie "TRUMPED/Overtrumped" G.I. JILLary.

---
I haven't been able to find one statistic I'm looking for.. yet.. How did voter turnout compare to 2008/2012?

---
What an unexpected blow  (not that kind) to the Clintons! The "Buy one/get two" couple could not get 4 out of 10 DEMOCRATS to vote for them!

---
NY Daily News headline:

Now. does anyone think... even "feel" that the NY D(_*_)ily News  put this together AFTER the results?
And, has anyone asked what the NY D(_*_)ily News headline would have been if Bernie didn't hand Hillary's head back to her on a platter..

---
You know.. I would have thought G.I. JILLary's race would have been more important to all the NY newspapers...

From the "things I learn by accident when browsing" department: Las Vegas has lost it's title rights of being "Sin City".. The number 1 spot has been given to Now Orleans.. In fact, Las Vegas is now ranked #7. More surprising is that Tampa, FL,, yes Tampa is ranked #4.... I guess that's why it's the city of the most lightning strikes in America.

---
Online headline: "Non-Christian wins primary for 1st time in history * Voters made history on Tuesday as they moved one step closer toward making a non-Christian candidate the next U.S. president." -- Hmmm.. this is about Bernie..  but if Hillary had won, "What difference would it make!"

---
Online headline: "Black Lives Matter activist M******** McC***** fatally shoots self in front of Ohio Statehouse" -- Yeah.. that's a great way to prove your point...NOT!

---
Online headline: "BlackLivesMatter activist DeR** McK****8 runs for Baltimore mayor" -- It would be the wake up call Baltimore needs.. to have a cop killing advocate as its Chief Public Safety Officer.

---
There's a list of "The Top 50 NBA Players of All Time"... The Celtics Bill Russell made the Top 10, but should have been in the Top 3 at a minimum, and John Havlicek, another Celtic a lower than deserved # 22, but placing Mr Celtic, Bob Cousy, down at # 38 just made this list bogus..

---
Online story: " FBI Director James Comey said on Tuesday that federal investigators have still been unable to access the phone contents belonging to one of the San Bernardino killers due to encrypted technology. *  Comey and other federal officials have long warned that powerful encryption poses a challenge for law enforcement and national security professionals. * Technology experts and privacy advocates counter that so-called "back door" access provided to authorities would expose data to malicious actors and undermine the overall security of the Internet." -- I like my privacy, but.. I don't have anything on my phone that I would be ashamed for someone to access.. I don't even want an "app" like that.. there's need for an "app" like hat .. even for our own government officials.. in lieu of such.. government and military security would be better served with an app that could neuter a field phone from the home offices. Hey,, back in the 60's Jim Graves' IMF instructions always destroyed the tape player 5 seconds after he heard the mission .. surely that's plausible today.

Online story: ":The U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday delivered a major blow to President Barack Obama by putting on hold federal regulations to curb carbon dioxide emissions mainly from coal-fired power plants, the centerpiece of his administration's strategy to combat climate change. * The court voted 5-4 along ideological lines to grant a request by 27 states and various companies and business groups to block the administration's Clean Power Plan, which also mandates a shift to renewable energy away from fossil fuels." --  "voted 5-4 along ideological lines"? "ideological? Is that what bloc voting by the 4 we always know before any discussions are made is described as? What it has become is a socialist attempt to legislate from the bench!  The US Supreme Court's job is to determine whether legislation, Executive Orders, or lower court actions are made within the provisions laid out in our Constitution... based on the Constitution.. not anyone's personal feelings/politics.

Soapbox Moment: Monday, a rather poorly advertised forum was called by Columbus Councilor Glenn Davis to talk about the proposed roundabout at River Road/Bradley Park/Green Island Dr.Cascade Rd intersection. My personal opinion is that the GA DOT is not trying to solve the root of the problem efficiently, but is only interested in a grand presence costing  beau coupe bucks.  The L-E was there to "covered" it, but in reality,  more or less, "covered up" the important aspects.. In it's story, the L-E failed to mention any audience questions or opinions.. The L-E story also failed to parse funding for the project.. What the reading audience is left with  is that the costs will be $1.5 MILLION paid faior by the state with TSPLOST funds. Let's start with those TSPLOST revenues.. not only is that OUR money to begin with, our return has been clipped by 15%.. that's right.. for every $1.00 we pay in TSPLOST sales tax, we only get 85-cents of it back.. other counties around us get more than their input. So, instead of the projected costs of $1.5 MILLION, we Columbus tax payers are actually paying  $1,725,000.00 in TSPLOST tax. In addition the City Engineer there said that another $800,000.00 would come out of the City budget.. you know, the one that Mayor TomLYINGson cannot.. well, WILL NOT budget properly as it is?  All total, the real cost on paper is $2,525,000.00 and that's before the first dirt is moved.. Now, can any one name a local project that involving the GA DOT that has been brought in on time and on budget?  Call your Councilors and stop this waste of time. energy and money.

Personal matter.. I've known Glenn Davis for almost 40 years.. was a fan of his as a Columbus Astros fan and he even came down to the First Annual Peach Little League Season ending picnic and pitched the finals of our Home Run Derby. I've supported him in all his Council efforts, but recently he has become unresponsive to e-mails asking for information and I'm at a point that I will entertain supporting an opposition candidate for his Council seat. One of the things I have asked for is the information about how many many people were shot during crimes that were not killed.. We know how many died, but just because our Emergency Rooms can prevent many others from dying of bullet wounds, doesn't keep the City taxpayers informed about how dangerous the street really are.. Why doesn't the CPD keep/publish a list  (even just numbers) of how many people, fatal or not, are being shot. Even the L-E feigns it does it does not keep up with it. To give perspective, in 2015 there were 443 people shot and killed on the streets of Chicago..but.. and a very BIG but, there were a total of 2,552 other people actually shot, but not killed on the streets of Chicago. . I think Columbus citizens should know this about Columbus's street danger. I'd even like the number of gun shooting crimes in which no one was killed or wounded..

---
I've got a great idea! Since the 3 teenaged animals who brutality killed 3 family members in their house in the Upatoi area of Columbus did so for some clothes, sneakers and about $600.00 in cash, I think the Stat of Georgia should limit legal fees for them to the same amount.. pay off their lawyers in used clothing, worn sneakers and 10 pieces of silver..

---
Love the fact that there are more registered "independent" voters in New Hampshire than either Democrats or Republicans. It's especially important this year as G.I. JILLary cannot encourage left leaning "independents" to vote in the Republican primary and skew the results. In fact, neither can Bernie, for that matter.

---
You know, the state's share of the proposed roundabout share is $1.5 MILLION. Now..the fallacy of this statement. This is T-SPLOST money. We..Columbus taxpayers, are paying our 1% tax but are only getting 85 percent of the T-SPLOST returned to us. In other words we paid $1,725,000.00 in taxes but are only getting $1,500,000.00 returned to us by the GA DOT.

L-E story: " Columbus Council did not hear a planned presentation Tuesday on options to keep the Columbus Aquatic Center open when, after more than five hours of meeting, it became apparent that they no longer had a quorum present. * Originally, only Councilor Pops Barnes was absent. But over the next five hours, different councilors left until only Judy Thomas, Bruce Huff, Glenn Davis and Mike Baker remained. By law, the 10-member council must have at least six members present to conduct any official business, even to adjourn. In the absence of a quorum, Mayor Teresa Tomlinson had to declare the meeting adjourned “by edict and decree.” -- Wait a minute.. the lack of a quorum was only noticed when there were only 4 Councilors left? What was discussed when there were only 5 members left?

The Woodruff family has a rich heritage in Columbus.. they may have been here as long as my family, but it's strange that we different aspects of named objects spread all out in Columbus.. There's Woodruff Farm Rd in East Columbus, then there's Woodruff Road connecting Hilton Avenue with Manchester Expressway (what  happened to getting multi-named streets under one name?), and then there's ood=ruff Park located by the Chattahoochee River. Oh, and don't forget the Woodruff  home/historic marker on 2nd Ave. Wonder if newcomers are confused?

Incredibly stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": "   Why do people brag about being “politically incorrect” when all they really are is rude?" -- Excuse me, but it's much ruder to throw the "polictically correct" card into a conversation that might bring a solution to light..

---
Possibly the dumbest LIV's analogy ever offered in a L-E "soundoff": "Wolves, dolphins, lions, whales, flocks, herds, tribes, etc., gather together for the safety and love of each other. Only in the USA do we not care about another’s health or education. Greed is king." -- "Wolves, dolphins, lions, whales, flocks, herds, tribes, etc., gather together for the safety and love of each other."? How about they segregate/band together to ward off including any other species to join in and become part of their societies? They're the DEMOCRATs of nature.

---
From the "how stupid can a LIV be" department - L-E "soundoff": "The reason why Chicago has such a high murder rate with strict gun laws is because there is nothing to prevent criminals from buying a truckload of guns in Georgia and transporting them to Chicago." -- Good grief.. why would anyone travel over 700 miles to get what can be gotten in any state in between... or even locally?

---
Way stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": " Jesus must be smiling upon Turkey for opening its border to Syrian migrants. He is happy with those hearts that love the unloved migrants." -- Good grief.. why would anyone think Jesus would be happy with what goes on in Muslim countries that kill His followers?

---
L-E headline: "Obama unveils record $4.1T budget" -- Now we know which school of budgeting Mayor TomLYINGson attended as well. Isn't the purpose of a budget to plan distribution of known =revenues that will come in?  Nothing more, nothing less. Not trying to do so is malfeasance in office..

---
The "Letters to the Editor" (http://www.ledger-enquirer.com/opinion/letters-to-the-editor/) in today's Columbus L-E is a worthwhile venture,, a self-proclaimed liberal is complaining about wasteful spending and the need to responsibility among the Council.. Hillary ain;t got a chance! Look for the name "Bragg" and have your spirits lifted.

---

L-E headline: "Family Dollar coming to downtown" -- Well, what this actually highlights is the influx of students in the Downtown area.. Family Dollar must have shopped at the CSU facility and have seen how students limited to their "pre-paid by dad" Cougar Card are overcharged.
