Online story: "The woman who accused Eliot Spitzer of choking her at The
Plaza Hotel in New York City on Saturday recanted and apologized in an email
before flying back to her native Russia, according to the former governor's
lawyer" -- Wonder how much Spitzer paid for that plane
ticket...

From the "oxymoron development office of the department of government intelligence" department - Online story: "The Department of Energy (DOE) announced Monday it will provide $7 million in technical support for solar power to Native Alaskan tribes, especially those in the far north. * The parts of Alaska where the DOE intends to spend the cash have nearly 24 hours of darkness in the winter, which is precisely when Alaskans need the most electricity. Alaska has nearly 24 hours of sunlight during the summer, but that’s when demand for power is at its lowest point as there’s no need to crank up the heat. Alaska’s harsh winters make the state’s per capita energy consumption the third highest in the nation." -- any other words aren't necessary....

Are the establishment Republicans trying to blow this election by wanting to make 2016 a "referendum" year for whom nominates a new Supreme Court Justice? Idiots! Making this an issue will motivate more fringe voters than either Hillary OR Bernie. Besides, the, no..our Constitution is very clear about the process, so Republicans just need to show it will follow the guidelines set by our founding fathers and prove Republicans support our Constitution every day... and in every way.

When Jeb Bush talked about his mom during the debate, and how she was so great.. I agreed with him.. so did Trump.. Trump even suggested she should run instead of Jeb.. I'd vote for her...

I tell you what.. if Bernie doesn't win the Democratic Party nomination and the White House, then he surel will have Drew Carey worried about his job on "The Price Is Right". Carey's an amateur at offering people "free stuff".

HufPOOPOO headline/story: "The Bernie Sanders rally at Morehouse College on Tuesday evening was electric. * Almost 5,000 people attended the event at the historically black, all-male school in Atlanta, and many chanted “Feel the Bern, feel the Bern” as the Democratic presidential candidate addressed the crowd." -- "historically black, all-male school"? Good grief.. is there no shame in the Liberalville? One only has to look into neighboring South Carolina at the discrimination suits filed against The Citadel... for being an all-male military academy...in past history..

You know, if NERO-bamageddon wants to attack Trump, Trump should post his personal economic growth since NERO-bamageddon took office and compare his bottom line to the increase in the National Debt NERO-bamageddon has inflicted on.thus nation.

Online headline: "If you’re legally blind, you can carry a weapon in Georgia" -- You know.. this is not near as scary as seeing the braille buttons on a drive-thru ATM.

What is it about getting excited about finishing 2nd or 3rd in a Republican primary?

Online story: "The Empire State has long been known for its pro-abortion laws, but the latest bill passed by the NY House takes it to a whole new level. * AB 6221 passed the State Assembly 94-49, and would expand the leniency for third trimester abortions. * If AB 6221 passes the Senate and becomes law, the wording of the abortion statute will allow full-term abortions as long as it’s“relevant to the well-being of the patient.” * Reasons included under the new language would be, emotional, familial, age, physical, or psychological. So for example, if a potential mother feels she’s not “emotionally stable” to handle a baby two weeks before birth, New York will allow her to have an abortion. In addition, it would allow these procedures to be performed by non-doctors who would inject poison into the full-term fetuses heart to stop it." -- And Gloria Steinem feels confiscation of guns is justified if it saves the life of a single baby.. but late/full term abortions are "OK" if it’s“relevant to the well-being of the patient.” Good grief.. at 9 months, isn't the baby inside as much of a patient as the mother?

Buick has got to be the next GM division to "go under"... Remember when Olds started the ad campaign
This is not your father's Oldsmobile"? Buick is basically doing the same thing.. but in truth Olds then, and Buick now, needs more fathers to be buying them.

Soapbox Moment: You know..there's celebration now, but there are sad things to consider as well. The saddest thing about the new Arts Academy is that there will be so much politicking for admission.. with only 500+/- spots for K-12, children with exceptional talents will be left out based on diversity issues, and children with late blooming potential will be excluded from later entry, not to mention the students purely admitted because someone-knows-someone. Oh, and let's not forget the crushed spirits of children who get "kicked out" if their work skills do not advance...and that will be decided by the politics of a teacher or committee.
No where in MCSD history has "be careful what you wish for" become so prophetic.

L-E headline: "United Way sets fundraising record * Organization celebrates reaching $7.1 million total in 2015" -- Certainly congratulations are in order for the community being so generous during tough times, but there are other matters that need to be addressed.. first is how many of the pledges will go unfulfilled, and secondly, will there be bonuses and raises paid to UW staff before moneys are distributed?

L-E headline: "1,130 cast ballots in Columbus’ first week of early voting"
-- You know.. why is there "early voting" for private primaries? It's an
unnecessary expense to the taxpayers of Columbus as we are not actually electing
any candidates. The Republican and Democratic Parties's should be paying for the
entire primary costs...
---
L-E headline: "RESIDENTS SEEK HELP AFTER RASH OF CRIMES IN WINDSOR PARK *
About 125 question mayor, other officials at meeting" -- Hmmm. obviously Windsor
Park residents.like most neighborhoods, don't believe the "pab" released about
crimes rates being lower in Columbus this past year.
---
From above story: "Over the last two months, Assistant Columbus Police
Chief Lem Miller said the neighborhood has experienced 24 crimes, and the entire
area covering nearby neighborhoods in police beat 31 had 118 total offenses
reported. Miller said auto break-ins were the top crimes occurring in the
neighborhood that pushed residents to seek help from Mayor Teresa Tomlinson and
police. *Before the month ends, Miller said the department hopes to have its
$2.5 million records management system up and running to help police track
crimes." -- "the department hopes to have its $2.5 million records management
system up and running to help police track crimes"? Hmmm.. well, we can hope
such a system will keep a record of the total number of people shot and do not
die as well as the fatal ones. While the CPD is at it, I hope they will keep
track of the tax dollars spent patching up wounded people at the Emergency
Room.. that way. a bill can be sent to ObamaCRAP since they are supposed to be
insured.

Incredibly stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": " I would love to have Hillary on
the sales team at my company. She could sell a blind man a race car." -- Good
grief.. this idiot would be out of a job and company shut down within the year..
Hillary is not a salesperson, she's a shill for a give-away scam.
---
Another stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": " You can’t say we are the richest
nation in the world and with the same mouth say we can’t afford a single-payer
health care plan. Either we are or we aren’t." -- Good grief.. we are the
wealthiest nation BECAUSE we don't have "government pay" healthcare as the
primary system, but that's changing as healthcare providers/insurance companies
realize that they no longer have to try to keep their costs down to be
competitive. It won't be long before we have healthcare systems that look like
the British, French and Canadian ones.
---
Triple-double stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": " Mayor Tomlinson and City
Manager Hugley, as a taxpayer I would rather invest my money in the children of
Columbus than in the swimming pool that will still leave you in debt." -- Hey,
Dumbo, Mayor TomLYINGson and Hugley are not investing their money.. and you
aren't either.. The City should be using tax dollars to provide basic community
services to keep us safe and clean.. not taking care of our children.. that's
the parents' job.
---
L-E headline: "Still barking, Uno remains the most popular Westminster
pooch" -- Hmmm... wonder if Uno should be running against Hillary in the rest of
the primaries?

You know conservatives are in for a struggle because liberal writers have
now started complimenting Scalia now that he's dead when they crucified him
before. It must be their celebratory dance awaiting another liberal appointment
by NERO-bamageddon.

L-E's "Online comment of the day : “It would be great to get all of them
off the streets. Spending countless hour Uptown for over thirty years you can’t
help but get to know faces. Some of them look so lost and some look to be very
engaged in the life they have found. I see new faces in Uptown McDonalds
weekly.” — From Mike Culpepper on “Chuck Williams: Is Columbus homelessness on
the decline?” -- You know,, when you've gotten to "know... to recognize.. the
faces" then not much has really changed.. just more "pab"...
---
L-E headline: "NO TUITION HIKE * First year without an increase since 2002"
-- Good grief.. the universities know that there is limited "HOPE Scholarship "
money available, and the universities also know they get away with raising dorm
rates, mandatory student fees, and book costs whenever they "feel like it"
without the legislature or media raising an eyebrow..
