You know what's wrong with public education.....the concept has been corrupted. What started out as an opportunity for all children to get a quality "free education" has become little more than an exercise in blanket distribution of "free" diplomas.

You know, I do not think Apple is standing up for our rights..if Apple has the ability to get into its product line's storage, it should share this with the government as a show of unity against terrorism. The "big brother" defense is awkward, at best, because if this is something Apple can do, then there's no protection for us that Apple, or a rogue Apple employee, or an outside hacker can and will do this at some time to any of us.

I didn't ride by there yesterday but this is truly on my mind: Whittlesey Road....what is going on? It's already a year behind schedule, and yet this past Tuesday, a day when the sun shown brightly, and the temperature was in the mid-60s, not one man or machine was on the job trying to finish this debacle of government efficiency. Why doesn't someone on our Council stand up and demand to know why this hasn't been finished?

Jeb Bush needs to pack it in.. he claims that no one can "insult" their way into the White House. We know he was making inferences towards Trump, but both Bernie and Hillary do nothing but insult working Americans by promising to make us pay for their campaign give-away promises.

The Westminster "Best in Show" was on Fox and Friends.. Steve Doucy had the sound man play Hillary's barking like a dog clip. The Westminster "Best in Show" jumped up like he'd heard a "bitch in heat" calling..The dog's smart, too.

The other day, when some version of the crime rates in Columbus, GA were
published, some thug justified the number of auto thefts by saying that it would
be lower if people didn't leave their cars running with the doors unlocked.
Excuse me, leaving your car running with the doors unlocked is not a crime..
getting into someone else's car that's running and stealing it is a crime.

There's a lot of conversation about the Flint, MI water pipes in the news,
but we sure have a lot of water/sewer pipe issues going on in Columbus.. We were
informed about the 11th Strret issue, but there's huge activity near the
intersection of 13th /Linwood/17th. I remember the CWW blackmailing us to the
tune of $67+/- Million dollars in the mid-90's that was to fix "all the
issues".

Good grief.. Tuition has become a minor piece of the total costs of a freshman
year away.. I use the "freshman year away " because out of town freshmen are
required to stay in a campus owned/approved dorm. hose dorm rooms are usually
about 300 sq ft and have two person living in them.. At my daughter's GA
university, her dorm costs $2,900.00 per 4 months.. required food plans cost
%1500-$1900 for 4 months, there's an additional "mandatory fee schedule" that
ads another $1,000.00 foir the 4 months and then there's "books". If the GA
Legislature wanted to hold down costs, freezing "tuition" is a minor part of
it.. For the most part, the University System rapes parents more on the cost of
educating their children by the "other costs". How about protecting us on
those.

For info sake.. recently, viewer numbers have eclipsed 29,000 on six continents (all but Antarctica).
