Hmmm.. Hillary wants to get a dog to follow Republicans around that will bark whenever one lies.  She could be her own warning system for her own speeches.
---
L-E headline: "Congresswoman stresses the importance of black history" -- Good grief... wish Rep. Lee would first learn her history, and stress the importance of accuracy.. especially here in February.
---
L-E headline/story: "City says stats show Columbus crime's lowest since 2002  * The city had 12,392 “Part I” crimes last year, a category encompassing homicides, rapes, robberies, assaults, burglaries, larcenies and auto thefts" -- 189,320 people suffered 12,392 Part 1 crimes.. One out of every 15 people in Columbus (or 1-in-4 families of 4) suffered a Part 1 crime against them. You know, try as I may, that's not a very assuring number to feel safe about.

Our military NEEDS a Republican president as well as a Republican Congress. Just look at the Democrat choices...a conscientious objector or the wife of a draft dodger who "loathed" the military
---
Remember the "fuel surcharge" on your plane ticket when oil prices surged? Remember how apologetic airlines were about having to raise the prices for tickets when seats were empty? Well, with oil prices now at about 2/3rds lower, have you seen the "fuel surcharge" removed? yeah...right!
---
John Sununu thinks that Trump would be better fit to run in the Democrat primary. Huh? Trump is the one raising the bar about what gets discussed. If it weren't for Trump, the Republican debates would be just as "give away" as the Democrat ones.

Online headline/story: "Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed Backs Waiving Sales Taxes On Tickets To Major Sporting Events  * "In my opinion it's the right thing to do, because the value of winning a Super Bowl outweighs the $5 million in sales tax that we would forego," he said." -- Good grief.. yet the mayor supports my having to pay an extra $5.00 a day for a room when my family plans a shopping weekend and we live in Georgia. What this amounts to is debauchery.. No one can/will say sporting event ticket sales will suffer if the tax has to be paid (heck, what people pay in service charges for tickets on line makes sales taxes look petty), and the rest of the Georgia cities/counties will be cheated out of revenues they depend on, while Atlanta benefits from increased food and liquor sales.
---
On above:  Whether the NFL has to collect taxes or not, the ticket proices will be the same regardless.. It's just a matter whether the NFL or Georgians benefit from that "$5 MILLION"
---
Online headline: "John Lewis: I did not intend to ‘disparage’ Bernie Sanders" -- What BS! Lewis has been in the Clinton corner (well, before.. and after NERO-bamageddon).
---
Online headline: "‘I Am Doing God’s Work,’ Says Syrian People Smuggler" -- Yeah.. and I'm sure he's tithing.
---
Doesn't it seem a tad hypocritical that the same people who argue that if they save one child from death by a gun by campaigning for gun confiscation laws, then their efforts are worth it, are the same people who want "abortion on demand"?
---

L-E's "Online Comment of the Day":  “I support these projects as a rule, because when you invest in these kinds of projects you get an automatic decrease in crime, higher revenues for the city, and you attract more businesses and talent. I wish that the city would empower the citizens to get some of the smaller things out of the way first.” — From Scott Berson on “$60M transformation: City Village master plan to bring jobs, housing, retail” -- "an automatic decrease in crime"? Good grief.. where did this guy get his "facts"? I'm not sure " outa thin air" would even support this much BS.. It appears this person is a student at CSU.. ask him whether of not he leaves his dorm door unlocked when away or asleep?

---
MCSD business: "The guaranteed maximum price of $32,041,187 from construction contractor Brasfield Gorrie of Columbus to build the arts academy,"  - We had 127 empty classrooms last year, and Spencer is going to be rebuilt, and now  the Arts Academy buildings  for, what, 500 students, will be built for $32,000,000.00 (about $64,000.00 per student or $1,280,000 fpr a classroom of 20), which will free up probably another room-per-school at the 50-something schools we already have.

---

From above L-E story: "A summer enrichment program at Hannan Academy, to run from May 31 to July 22, funding by registration and weekly participation fees." -- "funded by registration and weekly participation fees"? Does that mean all costs to taxpayers will be covered? Taking bets starting tomorrow.
