HuffPost story: "Hillary Clinton looked positively gleeful when Chris
Colfer surprised her at a recent book signing in Los Angeles. * Colfer headed to
the Barnes & Noble at The Grove on Thursday, June 19, to a get a
personalized copy of Clinton's new book, "Hard Choices." Apparently, the former
U.S. Secretary of State did not notice the "Glee" actor until he approached her
table. Photographers at the event captured Clinton's priceless reaction when she
looked up and saw the 24-year-old star." -- "Chris Colfer surprised her "? She
probably didn't know who Colfer was after he was highlighted! (who amongst you
knew before reading about it?) From reports, it's more than likely, Hillary was
surprised anyone but hre staff showed up.

HuffPost story: "In a monumental move, the nation's largest Presbyterian
denomination voted Thursday to change its definition of marriage and allow its
pastors to officiate same-sex ceremonies in states where gay marriage is legal."
-- Good grief.. EpisciPALIMONIES.. now Lesbyterians.. what's next Bi-ptists? I'm
beginning to think there needs to be more separation of government executive
orders and the church.
---
Online story quote/pop test: ""I was really rebelling. I considered myself
a racist at the time. Basically, I was against all white people." -- Hmmm..
Barack Obama? Well, close, but no cigar... no, not Clinton, not even Rodney
King, either. How about Michael Jordan... NOW.., to cite Rodney.. "can't we all
just get along"? Also, how about we forgive them AND Paula Deen...
---
Online headline/story: "Obamas want daughters to learn life lesson *
President Barack Obama and wife Michelle both worked minimum-wage jobs before
they got law degrees: a character-building experience they said they also want
their teenage daughters to share. * "We are looking for opportunities for them
to feel as if going to work and getting a paycheck is not always fun, not always
stimulating, not always fair," the president said. "But that's what most folks
go through every single day." -- Good grief... Minimum wage jobs are "good" for
his daughters but not for everyone else's children? You'd think that considering
the Student Loan Ranger wants to eliminate teens from the job market by raising
the minimum wage so teens can't find such jobs.
Instant replay: "Obamas want daughters to learn life lesson * President
Barack Obama and wife Michelle both worked minimum-wage jobs before they got law
degrees: a character-building experience they said they also want their teenage
daughters to share. * We are looking for opportunities for them to feel as if
going to work and getting a paycheck is not always fun, not always stimulating,
not always fair," the president said. "But that's what most folks go through
every single day." -- "that's what most folks go through every single day"? Who
is this Mosqued Man? He can't be so stupid as to 'feel' there are more people
working at minimum wage jobs than not, can he? Even his welfare base of
voters/supporters drain better than minimum wage for not working.. Oooooo, now
that's something the Obama's ARE teaching their girls...
---
HuffPost story: "Juicy Couture", the California clothing brand famous for
its rhinestone-bedazzled tracksuits is shutting down all of its U.S. stores by
the end of June, according to the fashion news site Racked." -- Ooops... another
victim of OObamaCRAP/Minimum wage chaos.. hmmmm, and 100 less places the Obama
girls can find a minimum wage job.
---
Online story: " The Obama administration plans to "surge" its immigration
enforcement, open facilities to detain families and provide additional support
to Central American governments in response to a massive increase of
unaccompanied minors and others crossing the border, officials announced on
Friday." -- "surge"? where have we seen that fail before? Of course, the Mosqued
Man is going to "surge" at the wrong site... again. How about doing a "surge" at
the Mexican border with Guatamala? Then our "surgees" can work their way back
through Mexico, take out the drug lord camps, and free Sgt Tahmooressi before
crossing back into the US.
---
Online story: "The House Ethics Committee has found that U.S. Rep. Don
Young of Alaska violated House rules by using campaign funds for personal trips
and accepting improper gifts. * The committee called on the Republican to repay
the value of the trips and gifts, totaling about $59,000, to his campaign and
the donors, and to amend his financial disclosure statements to include gifts he
had not reported. The committee also issued a "letter of reproval," or rebuke."
-- Hmmm, now if there was only a White House Ethics Committee looking into the
Obama's vacation and fund raising trips.
---
L-E story: "The Columbus Public Library will remain closed Saturday because
of an air-conditioning problem.
* The library was closed Thursday at noon when the main AC unit
malfunctioned and stayed closed Friday while the repair continued, said
Chattahoochee Valley Libraries programming and communications coordinator Henry
McCoy. * The building at 3000 Macon Road is the library system’s headquarters
and houses its Internet servers. The other branches remained open Friday if they
were scheduled to be, and patrons could check out materials there, but they
didn’t have Internet access" -- Hmmm, the school system probably just saved
enough this week to rehire those 42 it just let go...
---
I understand the need for a library.. I understand the need for most
services a library makes available for free to our, well,every/any, community,
but I don't know why our library needs to provide Internet access computers.
WiFi access is one thing, but why are actual public computers provided?
---
Now illegal minor aliens from Central America are being dumped in
Massachusetts.. bet Governor Deval Patrick didn't "see" that coming.
---
So the government can't keep vital IRS files backed up for future use, but
says it can keep your OObamaCRAP medical & doctors' records up-to-date and
instantly accessible. Yeah...right...and with guaranteed privacy to boot.
---
The new head of IRS doesn't think he needs to apologize because...
because..get this..because he hasn't lost an e-mail in the months he's been in
charge....DOH! He was put in charge to dig out the ones from 2011. Don't tell me
there weren't other issues other than the 501 (c) 4/5 applications that need
these emails.
---
Even if it was true that Lois Lerner's hard drive, and those of 6 others in
her circle, crashed, department protocol obviously should have required the hard
drives be scanned for active documents to be saved/retrieved. Does she really
believe that we think she didn't need her files recovered to finish ongoing
business?
---
Republicans need to back down on the IRS Congressional Investigation. There
will be no new information gathered since the wagons have been circled around
crashed hard drives. The Republicans should just appoint a prosecutor and go
straight to court before the general public just gets to worn out to care
anymore.
---
Besides, is there anyone who doesn't "know" that Pric Holder, and the
Student Loan Ranger have hard copies of all those IRS e-mails catalogued, and
held over Lois Lerner's "pension checks"... uh, head?
---
"Please Stop Helping Us: How Liberals Make it Harder For Blacks to
Succeed". It's a book by Jason L. Riley examining the failure of government
programs. I haven't read it yet, but the author seemed very in tune with the
problem. It's a problem because government wouldn't stop once it leveled the
playing field; government still wants to equalize the results. I believe it will
be a good read.
---
Democrats are desperately trying to undermine the "revolution" Republican
Gov Scott Walker has created in ousting out teacher unions and other Democrat
ploys to circumvent government efficiency. The mainstream media is still trying
to make it seem that Walker is still under charges even though MSM knows the
subpoenas have been quashed by state court judges. Democrats are just panicky at
their base learn that the Governor's plans are working, taxes are lower, and
businesses growing.
---
There's an awful lot of questionable activity going on with all the
Whitewater finagling between Whitewater Express and it's business deal with
Phenix City and now Columbus. I find it hard to believe Phenix City didn't have
an "ironclad" contract with Whitewater Express, just as I was that Nantahala
Outdoor Center could back out on its deal with Columbus. At a minimum, it looks
like Columbus has "snaked" Whitewater Express out of Phenix City, and Whitewater
Express has been a willing participant.
---
Hank Johnson. can you believe that District 4 GA Democrats are returning
him to Congress? This is the guy who embarrassed every Georgian.. (and every
intelligent lawyer) when he insisted an island would tip over if the military
put anymore equipment at our base. Well, hopefully, someone else...well, almost
ANYONE else will stage a write-in candidacy for November.
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "What kind of a Marine can’t tell North from South
and winds up in Mexico?" -- One that gets caught in the wrong lane during rush
hour... but one thing for certain is the "soundoff writer" probably never has
served our country... and... and probably never been caught in rush hour traffic
get home from an actual job.
---
---
L-E story: "This year’s COLGAY Pride is about everyone.* A grant will allow
the foundation to begin the Mpowerment Project, an HIV-prevention program
targeting gay and bisexual men between the ages of 19 and 29" -- Hmmm.. a
"grant" targeting gay and bisexual men between the ages of 19 and 29... hmmm.
seems to be at lot of EXCLUSION here... no women.. no "senior" citizens... no
heterosexuals... BTW.. who is providing the "grant"... our city?
---
L-E story: "If you are on a Friday schedule for Columbus crews to pickup
your trash and recycling items, city officials said some items were left on the
curb due to a shortage of work crews." -- Really... how can some labor
intensive, regularly scheduled service not be fully staffed... ?
---
L-E headline/story: "CSU police near completion of $300,000 security
upgrade * (CSU Lt. Jeremy) Reddish said though the department is looking forward
to completing the project, more improvement plans are in the work. Reddish next
plans to renovate the campus' 54 electronic call boxes, which allow students and
faculties to reach police more easily during emergency situations. * The boxes,
now painted a dull blue, will be repainted and decorated with CSU police decals,
hashtag signs and other colorful markings that make them more noticeable." --
"colorful markings that make them more noticeable."? Wow... where's "Keep
Columbus Beautiful" when we need'em. One thing for sure.. with the addition of
the Chattahoochee Amusement Park's "zip line", wildlife will be more confused at
what their natural environment is suppose to be.
---
L-E story: "Muscogee County School District officials are urging parents
and guardians to avoid long lines by registering their children now if they fit
one of two categories:
• New to the district.
• Moved within the district and haven’t given official notice of new address.
• New to the district.
• Moved within the district and haven’t given official notice of new address.
Instead of waiting until the week the 2014-15 school year starts Aug. 7,
parents and guardians can register their children now, Mondays-Thursdays from 8
a.m. to 5 p.m., at their assigned school or the central registration office in
the Muscogee County Public Education Center, 2960 Macon Road. Schools and
district offices are closed Fridays through July 18" --
And the MCSD Board throws up its hands when trying to find ways not to
waste tax dollars..
Good grief! How many students are really in either category that makes
staffing an office for 7 weeks instead of just the week before school starts? In
addition, the School System has announced it's going to pay everyone for a 40
hour week when they are only working 8 hours per day for 4 days...Now throw in
the increased electricity costs for 6 unneeded weeks of staffing, and it runs
into quite a bit of money.. Hey, John Wells... thought you were claiming you
were on top of our financial situation...yeah, right.
