Online story: "BONN, Germany, June 6 (Reuters) - Rising sea levels have washed the remains of at least 26 Japanese World War Two soldiers from their graves on a low-lying Pacific archipelago, the foreign minister of the Marshall Islands said on Friday. * "There are coffins and dead people being washed away from graves. It's that serious," Tony de Brum told reporters on the sidelines of U.N. climate change talks in Germany. * Climate scientists say global warming has raised average world sea levels by about 19 cms (8 inches) in the past century, aggravating the impact of storm surges and tides. Glaciers and ice caps are melting and water also expands as it warms." -- BS! How odes mainstream media allow itself to be manipulated by left-wing global terrorists? Water "expands" when it freezes, and evaporates when it is heated. That's basic science you can confirm in your kitchen.

Ran across an article online about little know facts from the Civil War:
1 - "More soldiers died in the Civil War than any other American conflict — and two-thirds of them were killed by disease. Battles weren’t as deadly as disease, however. Diarrhea, typhoid fever, lung inflammation, dysentery, and childhood diseases like chicken pox were the cause of 67 percent of the deaths. Nearly 56,000 soldiers died in prison camps from starvation and disease — a quarter of those deaths happened at one camp." -- Hmmm, seems like soldiers had better odds of survival in prison camps. Of a personal note, my gg-uncle, William Henry Kirven, was captured at the Battle of Lookout Mountain, and died in Fort Morton POW camp in 1864. He was "buried" in a mass grave of the era.
2 - Black men weren’t allowed to join the army until 1863. About 180,000 black men, more than 85 percent of eligible African-Americans in the Northern states, fought. While white soldiers earned $13 a month, black soldiers earned only $10 — and then were charged a $3 clothing fee that lowered their monthly pay to $7. The highest paid black soldier made less than the lowest paid white one. After protesting by refusing to accept their wages and gaining support from abolitionist Congressmen, black soldiers finally received equal pay in 1864 — paid retroactively to their enlistment date." -- Well, well, well, it took a Republican president to equalize Yankee discrimination.....

Online story: " Thousands of bicyclists, many of them stark naked, poured into the streets of Portland, Oregon on Saturday night for the 11th annual World Naked Bike Ride, a protest that promotes bike riding as an alternative to driving cars. * "This is a party, but it's also a protest," said Carl Larson, a ride spokesman. "It is about oil dependence, cycling vulnerability and body" image.* Jennifer Young, 40, who was at the ride with her 16-year-old son and was painted blue head to toe with fairy wings on her back, saw the goal as showing cyclists' vulnerability, saying "I think it's a little more evident when we're naked * Neighbors looked on as a marching band played and dancers kicked off the start. Later a naked punk band jammed from the sidelines as bikers rolled past. * Fred Tebo, 90, wasn't sure want to think of the hoards of naked people in the park across the street from the house he has lived in since 1971. * "It's entertaining and it's stupid at the same time," he said, sitting on his steps." -- "protest... about oil dependence"? Nah... it's about wacko exhibitionists.. if they wanted to protest "oil dependence", they could have just not bought/wore any polyester clothing.

Online story: "A Maryland dad likely won't see any charges after he struck a local teacher with a baseball bat. * Police say the dad saw a series of texts on Thursday between the 42-year-old teacher and his daughter, a 15-year-old student. The girl's mother deemed them "inappropriate for a teacher and a student" to be sharing * Investigators didn't agree and never charged the teacher with a crime, but the situation took a downturn later that day when the unidentified teacher showed up at the girl's house. * He wanted to speak to the girl's father, but was told to leave, CBS local reports. When he refused, the dad reportedly whacked him with a baseball bat. The teacher sustained minor injuries." -- You know, the "dad" should have had a gun instead of a baseball bat.. that or gone and got Jill Biden's shotgun.

HuffPost headline: "A Complete List Of The 2014 Tony Award Winners" -- Do you think the HuffPost even knows half of the scandals involving Judas 00-Barnum's administration?
---
L-E story: "An Oklahoma company has created a protective blanket that developers say could give children a better chance of surviving debris from a tornado — or bullets from a 9 mm handgun. * The Bodyguard Blanket, made by ProTecht, is a bulletproof pad designed to protect students during disasters at school. The 5/16-inch thick rectangle features backpack-like straps that allow users to put it on, and then duck and cover. * At $1,000 per blanket, he and others with the company say buying one per student would be less expensive than building tornado shelters." -- Can you see it coming... the "it's for the kids" SPLOST campaign from our local schools? You know.. a storm shelter would be a lot cheaper overall to begin with, but I want to know if "The Bodyguard Blanket" comes with a 100% satisfaction guarantee? As for the 9 MM protection, for a couple of thousand for 4 or 5 good pistols, and a $50.00 sign at door saying, "Qualified and Proficient Armed Personnel On Board" would pretty much discourage some wacko coward from attacking a school.

Lest we forget: "During a commemoration for the 12th anniversary of 9/11, a school in Boston made a strange decision. The school recited an Islamic poem over the loud speaker but did not say the pledge of allegiance. * The school’s principal only gave an apology after the community reacted with anger. Peter Badalament said they decided to read the poem in hopes help with cross-cultural understanding. * He told the Washington Times that only a small number of parents were upset with what happened." -- "only a small number of parents were upset"? This guy must be wanting to get a job as a Press Agent for Judas 00-Barnum...Wonder if he read that poem at the memorial service prior to this year's Boston Marathon?
---
Judas 00-Barnum is getting his way..All the Sunday talk shows were about Tali-Bergd(_*_)hl.
---
Question: Why Tali-Bergd(_*_)hl? Didn't Judas 00-Barnum "drone" another American Taliban member?
---
I'm having a hard time with people talking about using motorized vehicles on the RiverWalk....would it be too much longer before we started getting stoplights and walk/don't walk signals as well?
---
I'm curious.. why does the mainstream media seem "OK" with 5 Gitmo Taliban terrorists being released by Judas 00-Barnum, but not very interested why Judas 00-Barnum is letting a US Marine fester in a Mexican prison?
---
L-E story: "The Obama administration’s plan to reduce carbon emissions is likely to cause Georgia to evaluate its current energy supply but also could factor into two of the state’s biggest political races this year. * So far, Democrat Michelle Nunn is keeping her distance from the plan, offering a wait-and-see approach while underscoring the need to reduce carbon emissions as she campaigns for the state’s open Senate seat. Both Republicans in the Senate race have denounced the plan, saying the regulations are too burdensome." -- "Democrat Michelle Nunn is keeping her distance from the plan"? Yeah.. right.. only you know, I know, that she will accept Judas 00-Barnum's "plan" as soon, well, if she gets to step into the Capitol.
---
You can also forget her concerns about other 00-Barnum decisions.. she won't say so prior to the election, but she will vote "the Democrat Party line" on everything... including OObamaCRAP, and the Keystone XL oil pipeline.
---
I'm also curious as to why mainstream media refers to Democratic GA Senate candidate Michelle Martin as only Michelle Nunn? Didn't the preacher announce her as part of the Mr & Mrs Ron Martin, Jr.?
---
L-E story: "WASHINGTON — Secretary of State John F. Kerry, in his first remarks on the prisoner swap, said Sunday that the five Taliban leaders released in exchange for Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl could be killed by the United States if they re-enter the fight." -- Good grief! That should the job, the goal of the American soldier... except, Judas 00-Barnum has handcuffed our soldiers so that they can't shoot at those 5 terrorists unless those 5 terrorists shoot at them first.. guess Judas 00-Barnum feels that is "equalizing the playing field"..Kerry is indeed an dupe.
---
L-E headline: "POLICE: SHOOTERS KILL 1 PERSON, THEMSELVES AT VEGAS WALMART" -- Good GRIEF! How can the L-E publish this headline and not mention that those two shooters shot 2 policemen as they sitting down and eating lunch BEFORE the finale at Walmart. Does the L-E not think ambushing policemen is a newsworthy fact?
---
From a L-E "5 Questions with" feature, I see we have a new Executive Director of "Columbus Area Habitat for Humanity". Hmmm, what happened to Brinkley Pound?
---
L-E headline: " FLORENCE, Ala. — Officials at the University of North Alabama are slated to discuss a potential tuition increase during an upcoming meeting." -- Hmm, why is it that when colleges look at revenue shortages, their first response is to look at raising tuition or adding more "fees"? You know, looking at expenses, looking at salaries/benefits/bonuses and number of teachers should be the first step. Look, at the rate students are graduating without career jobs in sight, how do colleges feel that people will want to attend there when tuition is raised?

There's a lotta noise being raised about grown-ups reading books marketed to teens. Could it simply be that some of the novels marketed for teens would have been sold in adult stores in past decades?
