A friend of mine made an astute political analysis yesterday. He said that the reason Romney lost was that he campaigned on 'jobs for all', and 51% said they didn't want one.

Online story: "(Venezuelan President Hugo) Chavez, who won re-election on Oct. 7, also said on Saturday night for the first time that if his health were to worsen, his successor would be Vice President Nicolas Maduro. * "We should guarantee the advance of the Bolivarian Revolution," Chavez said" -- Of course Chavez waited until after our election to see if his first choice was going to be available or not.

---

online headline/story: "Mohamed Gamal Abu Ahmed, Benghazi Attack Suspect, Held In Egypt: U.S. Official * U.S. officials said Abu Ahmed's group was suspected of a role in the violence but they were not sure whether he personally was involved." -- Do we see a pattern here? potUS Obluster blamed a video maker which was proved blatantly false, but he's still in jail.

---

Online headline: "RFK Jr: Fox News Has Divided Country In A Way Not Seen Since Civil War" -- Fox News? This coming from a DUMBERat who's party has given us affirmative action, political correctness, racist taxes on indoor tanning, the Congressional Black Caucus, historic black colleges with charity status, still allows black segregated beauty pageants and athletic events, and deems racism as a one way street. Fox News is the only TV network that discusses the such dividing factors, and from both sides.

---

Online headline: "Hamas Leader Vows Never To Recognize Israel" -- Doh! He just did.

Online story: "HONOLULU -- A high school on Hawaii's Big Island was temporarily closed after officials say racial tension and multiple fights this week culminated in a brawl involving 20 to 30 students, with eight arrests. * The school's principal, Wilfred Murakami, said the fights resulted from ongoing "bullying through racial and cultural taunts." * Immigrants from the Federated States of Micronesia are a small but fast-growing group in Hawaii as a result of a 1986 pact that allows citizens from three Pacific Island nations to come to the United States in exchange for allowing the U.S. to use defense sites. * Immigration from the Federated States of Micronesia, along with the Republic of Palau and the Republic of the Marshall Islands has been a source of tension for some residents in Hawaii, the closest U.S. state to the Pacific islands. * In the 2010 fiscal year, Hawaii spent more than $52 million on health care, welfare, public housing and homeless support for more than 17,000 migrants from the compact. In addition, education costs were more than $55 million." -- Hmmm, all's not-so-well in potUS Obluster's home paradise. Maybe he can hold a "Mai-Tai Summit" and supply Micronesia with AK-47's while on vacation.

Online story: "An analyst at Guggenheim Partners recently revived the possibility of "coin seignorage," an idea that, ahem, gained currency during 2011's debt ceiling debacle. Chris Krueger mentioned the idea as fourth in a list of ways that the U.S. could solve the debt ceiling problem, which is threatening to come up again as part of fiscal cliff negotiations. * The idea is pretty simple to understand. While there are legal limits to the amount of paper currency that can be in circulation and the amount of gold and silver than can be turned into coins, Treasury can issue coins made of platinum in any denomination. The coins would be created by the U.S. Mint and deposited at the Federal Reserve, allowing the government to meet its debt requirements and avoid the debt ceiling. * James Pethokoukis at the conservative American Enterprise Institute points out that the move might have a negative impact on inflation. Others, WaPo’s (Washington Post) Brad Plumer among them, believe it would have little effect on the value of the dollar since it is money that would not be directly injected into the economy. " -- "little effect on the value of the dollar since it is money not to be directly injected into the economy"? Has anyone on the board of the Washington Post verified Plumer's college degrees and grades? Any method of raising or 'getting around' the debt ceiling IS an injection of money into the system that effects all existing moneys in the system!

---

Nine of the top ten states with out-of-control debt voted for potUS Oblunder. I guess they believe that Oblunder is not only the Messiah, he's Santa incarnate.

---

Online story: "On Thursday, the Progressive Congress -- a nonprofit representing 75 liberal congressmen -- announced that it gathered 100,000 signatures for a petition urging the (Macys)department store's CEO, Terry Lundgren, to drop out of a high-profile lobbying group. It accused Lundgren of "violating the trust" of families who see the company as a "symbol of home and holidays." * Lundgren is one of 71 CEOs of public companies in the Fix The Debt coalition, which is lobbying to narrow the deficit by scaling back programs like Medicare and Social Security. " -- Will liberals stop at nothing to destroy the middle class? Lower taxes mean more money in America pockets, and more money in the American people's pockets versus the government's means a better economy can be regained.

Union protestors were outside Macy's for a "Dump Trump" rally. Some were pictured cutting UP Macy's credit cards. Wanna bet how many of those cards were in "collections" and already cut OFF?

---

Online headline: "NY Mostly Ignored Reports Warning Of Superstorm" -- Hmmm, and we were just wondering where Katrina-in-charge Mayor Ray Nagin was hiding.

---

Speaking of Ray Nagin, I gleaned this tidbit out of his Wikipedia bio: "After leaving office (in 2010), Nagin founded CRN Initiatives LLC, a firm that focuses on Emergency Preparedness, Green Energy product development," -- No doubt funded by potUS Obluster's bailout money. What private money would back Nagin on disaster preparation tactics?

---

TCM had a couple of classic guy movies on yesterday afternoon ("The Ballard of Cat Ballou" and "Cool Hand Luke"), but TCM outdid itself last night..."Summertime" followed by "Autumn Leaves", then "If Winter Comes" and "A Walk In The Spring Rain". Cool, but I'm not through...then came 'A Man For All Seasons".

---

What the mainstream media doesn't question the DUMBERat heirarchy about is once you decimated the wealthy, the need for government revenue doesn't end. Margaret Thatcher summed it up nicely, sooner or later, you run out of wealthy people's money.
---

Even if the potUS Obluster plan to tax only the top ten percent, and it's successful, then that 10% will eventually fall down to a lower category. Then the next 10% will be expected to pick up the slack... then the next 10%, and so on until everyone is food stamp eligible, but, by then, no one will be available to "contribute" to paying for the bill.

---

Online story: "The political crisis and violence in Egypt deepened Friday as opponents of President Mohammed Morsi mobbed his palace" -- Hmmm, since there's so much resemblance of potUS Obluster's and Morsi's plans to attain dictatorship, maybe this is a prelude to what middle-class Americans will have to do to reclaim our country.
---
In a Richard Hyatt story, MCSD Board member John Wells is quoted: "This is such an important job. The person we select will have the job of keeping this school district on track." -- WRONG! The MCSD Board is elected to 'keep this school district on track'; the superintendent is its agent to initiate and direct the school system programs.
---
Same article quotes Cathy Williams: "We need someone who walks on water." -- WRONG! We've seen how someone that DUMBERats perceive the White House occupant having that ability, but what we NEED is someone with BOTH FEET on the ground.

From Dusty Nix's column: "People who order for 20 in fast food drive-through lines, and those who take cell-phoned food orders in buffet lines, should be hanged, drawn and quartered without trial or counsel .
ESPN reports that National Football League Commissioner Roger Goodell is thinking about — get this, now — eliminating kickoffs from NFL games. Dude … put down the Kool-Aid. You’re showing symptoms of Bud Selig poisoning.

We’ve tried bells, beeps, buzzers, chimes, chirps, simulated nature sounds, music radio, talk radio, TV timers, tape players, CD players … and we’re left with an immutable truth: There’s just no version of an alarm clock you want to hear.

Any religion that wants government to help sustain it needs more help than any government can possibly give it.

The more shamelessly a public figure panders for cheap applause, the more certain he will be praised for his “courage.”

You have to admire the concentration of people who never let driving distract them from their phone calls.

The next filmmaker who has a Southern character using “y’all” as a singular pronoun should be forced to star in his own snuff movie.

More often than not, the real problem with people who claim to be misunderstood is that they’re understood perfectly.

The longer an unattended car alarm goes off, the more I hope somebody is actually stealing the car. -- Well, well, well... after years of effort, Dusty has finally said something the rest of us can agree with him on.
---
Johnny Football... this year's Heisman Trophy winner. Glad the Heisman Committee didn't fumble the ball in its decision to name a freashman who really earned this.
---
Karl Douglass writes: "The fact that (probable SC Senate appointee to replace DeMint)Tim Scott staked out a position as a principled conservative during his college years, maintained and expressed those positions consistently throughout his service in elected office at every level and now has the very real opportunity of serving in the Senate is the point. Honestly, even though I don't agree with many of his positions" -- This is the attitude that has dragged racial progress to a standstill. Congressman Scott, though black, as a Republican, as a Conservative, is not 'black enough' for the black bloc vote.
---
L-E's "Late laughs": "TODAY IN Washington, President Obama met with leaders of the American Indian tribes and they honored the president by giving him his own Indian name: “Running Deficit.” Jay Leno -- heh heh heh
---
If there is any use for a federally run polygraph program, it would be for an agent to follow all politicians around and attach one whenever politicians open their mouths.
---
L-E headline/story: "Same-sex weddings in Washington to begin today * OLYMPIA, WASH. — Two retired military women who fought for the rights of gays in the military were among the hundreds of couples who received their marriage licenses this week as Washing-ton state’s voter-approved law allowing same-sex marriage took effect." -- Hmmm, you have to wonder if they'll toss bridal bouquets of marijuana buds, too.
---
From the City Manager's Agenda: "FULL-SIZE, 4-DOOR SEDANS (NON-PURSUIT) – It is requested that council approve the purchase of twenty-one full-size, 4-door sedans (non-pursuit) (2013 Chevrolet Impala) from Hardy Chevrolet (Dallas, GA), in the amount of $18,110 per unit, for a total cost of $380,310. " -- Why are such contracts given to out of town dealerships rather than letting local dealerships have a blind bidding opportunity to lower the bid?
---
From the City Manager's Agenda: "MUSCOGEE COUNTY PRISON TURN-OUT SHED – It is requested that council authorize the execution of a value-engineered construction contract with Freeman & Associates, Inc., (Columbus), in the amount of $50,750 for a turn-out shed at Muscogee County Prison. " -- Does anyone know whjat a 'turn-out shed is? I'd like to know so I can evaluate if there is a need for further comment.
---
I asked the MCSD board members why Harris County Middle School was playing in the Muscogee County Middle School Football playoff series, and one brave member did reply, but he just mentioned Harris County High plays some Columbus teams. I reminded him that the GHSAA has structured regions and districts for high school sports, but none such exists for middle/elementary schools. No response to that.

From a fellow BCer - Online article: "Obama’s Dirty Little Tax Secret: He’s Already Raised Taxes on the Rich * The one glaring omission in President Obama’s fiscal cliff demands for higher rates on top earners is that he’s already raised their taxes. That’s right! When he signed Obamacare into law, he raised tax rates on families earning more than $250,000—his definition of rich. * He has done so by including in the 18 separate Obama tax hikes an increase of the tax rates on income and investment.
Obamacare raises the hospital insurance (HI) portion of the payroll tax on wage income over $250,000 from 2.9 percent to 3.8 percent. And it applies that 3.8 percent rate to investment income—capital gains and dividends—for those with incomes above that level. This is a massive policy change, since it represents the first time the payroll tax will apply to investment income. And even though this investment income HI tax would apply only to top earners, it is a dangerous step down a slippery, tax-hiking slope." -- You gotta be aware every time a DUMBERat says he only wants to see what your wallet looks like.
