Raising the tax rate of long term capital gains will seriously hamper
investor confidence and participation. Not every investment skyrockets to
millionaire status. In fact no stock is guaranteed to be a winner or have static
growth patterns. Many investors, many "venture capitalists' will not be as
eager to take the risk on new technology knowing that risk is higher and rewards
are lower.

Now, owning gun manufacturers stock the day pot-US Oblister was elected
have probably paid off big time, though 'investors' had probably best sell their
stocks tomorrow to enjoy then profits they have made at this year's tax rate
rather than next year's.

Online story: "Obama chastised lawmakers in his weekly radio and Internet
address for waiting until the last minute to try and avoid a "fiscal cliff," yet
said there was still time for an agreement. "We cannot let Washington politics
get in the way of America's progress," he said as the hurry-up negotiations
unfolded." -- "progress"? "Washington politics get in the way of America's
progress"? Politics is ALL that is in the way of America's progress!

Wonder what the trial timeline is now for George Zimmerman since those high
definition photos of his face following his assault by Trayvon Martin?
---
Why is there so much emphasis on the government debt? Why don't they talk
about the government assets? Why not sell all the office buildings (after all,
the Capitol and White House have been bought for years) and let realty companies
own/manage them, and National Parks, let recreational professionals own/manage
those, and sell oil areas back to the states and let states decide on drilling.
We have tons of improperly used/managed facilities that private industry would
handle better... prisons. And accounting (IRS, CBO,) maybe by H & R Block,
Quicken et al. Let's put our assets to work for us!

I remember a banker in the early 70's telling me that earning $13,200.00
annually put you solidly in the middle class. That's almost $2000.00 less than
what a full time worker on minimum wages earns today. Minimum wage was at $1.60.
Today's MW is $7.25, more than 4.5 times higher than 1972's; same percentage of
$13,200 in 1972 is over $59,800.00.
---
You know, slow rising wages are not the problem causing poverty... it's the
hyper inflation caused by out-of-control government waste and spending, and
printing excessive amounts of cash.
---
Online story: "PESHAWAR, Pakistan — Twenty-one tribal policemen believed to
have been kidnapped by the Taliban were found shot dead in Pakistan's troubled
northwest tribal region early Sunday, government officials said." -- Yep, pot-US
Obluster, looks like you've put the Taliban out-of-business.... NOT!
---
Online story: "A lawyer who's asking to sue Connecticut for $100 million on
behalf of a 6-year-old Newtown school shooting survivor who heard violence over
the school's intercom system says the potential claim is about improving school
security, not money." -- Hmmm, both my grandfathers told me that when someone
insists it's not about the money... it IS about the money! Why doesn't the
lawyer file the suit against the Lanza estate instead?
---
Online story: "PARIS — Embattled French President Francois Hollande
suffered a fresh setback Saturday when France's highest court threw out a plan
to tax the ultrawealthy at a 75 percent rate, saying it was unfair. * In a
stinging rebuke to one of Socialist Hollande's flagship campaign promises, the
constitutional council ruled Saturday that the way the highly contentious tax
was designed was unconstitutional. It was intended to hit incomes over (EURO)1
million ($1.32 million). -- If even a socialist court thinks specialty taxes on
the wealthy is unfair, even unconstitutional, you know it is here in America!
ACLU... front and center... you have a job to do NOW!
---
Online story: "Elizabeth Warren is making one last plea to supporters to
help retire her campaign debt after her pricey senate race against Republican
Scott Brown." -- Why? Why are politicians ALLOWED to go into debt running a
campaign? Surely banks aren't allowed to make such loans without ample
collateral, and surely individuals other than the candidate him/herself cannot
be allowed to 'loan', money to a candidate. What will loan-makers expect back if
the candidate loses, and more importantly, what will the loan-makers expect when
a candidate wins?
---
As I've brought up a few times since the election was over, pot-US Obluster
is still campaigning for more donations when he knows he cannot run again...
theses request amount to nothing more than blackmail or bribery.
---
Online story: "President Barack Obama gave a New Year's gift to returning
members of Congress, federal workers and Vice President Joe Biden on Thursday,
signing an executive order calling for an end to a years-long pay freeze." --
What a horrible example of leadership! It's like a private company giving
everyone a raise because the company lost less money than the year before.
---
Online story: "LAHORE, Pakistan -- Authorities are investigating cough
syrup believed to have killed 33 people in eastern Pakistan in the past three
days, a government official said Saturday, the second time in recent months that
suspect medicine is thought to have caused multiple deaths." -- Can't you see
this now being advertised on a TV info-mercial as being 'a complete cure for
your nagging cough'?
---
WRBL3 story: "Parts of a (GA) tax overhaul will also take effect in the New
Year. Starting Jan. 1, manufacturers will be exempt from paying the state sales
tax on energy used to produce their goods. The agricultural industry will enjoy
a similar tax break." -- Hmmm, look for GA Power and other energy suppliers
under the PSC authority to use this new law as a reason to raise rates on
residential property energy users.
---
L-E headline: "Obama, GOP make pitch as
budget talks start in private" -- Of course, pot-US Obluster's 'limp-wristed
pitch' bounced a few times before it got to home plate.
---
L-E headline: "Muscogee County School District nominates 54
students for (state of GA) honors program" -- Hmmmm, 54 out of 32,000... that's
1.6 students per thousand, and that's just nominated and there will be
interviews for 2900 students across the state for less than 700 spots. Congrats
to the 54 students; the 6,200+/- MCSD employees might need some additional
motivation.

In 2012, we
finally discovered the real name of the Whitewater project committee; "The
Committee to PAVE the Chattahoochee". Follow this link to see for
ypourself:

Let's keep John
Phillips on as permanent interim Superintendent! Why, because he will have to
work most of the time at about $8,500 a month, so why pay big money to someone
else who will do no better (or worse) that what we
have?

Bowl season is
almost here! Forget what you' read about other so-called bowl games; the bowl
season starts tomorrow when the first of 9 games gegin with SEC teams involved.
There are 16 games and 9 of them involve SEC teams and all 9 are favorites.
Let the cow bell
ring!

Rumors that the
New Year's Ball in Times Square is actually Dick Clark's Mausoleum are probably
not true.... probably.
